‘Painful’: Chris Wallace pounds John Kerry; Brit Hume, Lucianne Goldberg zing

Secretary of State John Kerry appeared on “Fox News Sunday” to discuss Syria this morning. Fox News’ Brit Hume found the interview to be “almost painful,” heh.

A classic deadpan Hume zinger. Hume wasn’t alone:

Bless Kerry’s precious heart!

Twitter users praised Wallace for his tough questioning and lambasted Kerry for his utter incompetence.

Oh well. Case closed! “Like, whenever” and stuff.

The Schadenfreude is strong with this one:

And Lucianne Goldberg of Lucianne.com brings it all home, summed up in one zinger:

John Kerry’s sarin talk reminds Twitter users of HBO’s The Newsroom

Like, whenever, OK? Obama says military action in Syria ‘not time sensitive’

Lurch (John Kerry) is melting down under Chris Wallace’s interview..what a joke.
    6:18 AM – 1 Sep 2013

For some reason, I am reminded not so much of Lurch but Lumiere.

(I’m trying to find a good image, so far I’m unsuccessful. Sorry!)

I didn’t know there was any doubt that Kerry is a fool.

Forget what Obama’s doing with his hand. What’s Biden doing? Is he sucking his thumb?

      • GaryTheBrave

He’s wondering if he sat on a pie or needs to change hid Depends.

      • ObamaFail

I think he’s thinking about what he’s going to say in his acceptance speech when he and Obama co-win the Nobel Peace Prize for their handling of Syria.

        • beebop1952

He’s thinking how way cooler it is to be him than HRC.

Obama…two votes? That’s all I can expect to get from the democrats in Congress Mr Speaker? Oh! 1 democrat and 1Republican. Well since vote will be bipartisan and My vote makes it a majority, I can push ahead with the attack.

    • lainer51

My what skinny ankles you have!!!!!

  • rwnutjob

Do Kerry & Obama even talk?
He was hung out to dry by Mr Boots-on-the-golf-course.

    • tops116

Really? I thought he was the patsy designed to make Madame “What difference does it make?” look good on her way out the door.

  • peteee363

In all fairness to Kerry, it is not all that difficult to make him look bad. chris just needed a little pushing to do it, the rest of the media just plays along with Obama talking points.

    • tops116

Anyone else think that Kerry followed this interview up by going to Chris Matthews and having his butt kissed for ten minutes as a form of therapy.

  • Steve_J

It’s always painful to watch and listen to Kerry.

  • John Ansell

I wonder if lying about being on his yacht has the other nations questioning if he’s telling the truth about the WMDs.

  • tops116

Gee, who would’ve thought that a member of the Obama Administration would crack in the face of actual questions? Oh right…

Geez, what does it say about you that an interview looks more painful and difficult than the time you served in a war?

I guess Kerry will be reserving some time for a yacht trip to recover from this interview.

    • WHMay

He can’t “crack in the face,” he’s had botox.

      • nc

        See my comment above.

Once Obama’s gone, the nastiest books written about him are going to be coming from Democrats. Just you watch. This guy is as incompetent as they come.

  • Ron Morisseau

Chris Wallace is drilling John Kerry this morning.

    • therealguyfaux

I have it on good authority that Kerry is a married man!
Consoling his friend (the bereaved widow of his colleague, Senator Heinz, heir to the 57 varieties fortune), and marrying her within a year of the tragic event. What a saint he is!

      • Arkuy The Great

There’s nothing like coming into money…

  • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

Quick question. How can you tell when John Kerry is making a fool of himself? Isn’t that the way he normally acts?

    • 912er

You used to be able to tell by seeing his lips moving but all the botox is making that more difficult….Now you actually have to listen for a few seconds.

      • nc

That’s not Botox. That’s a full on hack job plastic surgery.

  • TocksNedlog

Kerry voted for an immediate strike before he voted against it.

  • TocksNedlog

Kerry: “This president is steadfastly COMMITTED to doing whatever the most recent opinion polls conclude will provide him with the greatest degree of political cover.”

[Okay, that would be ‘Kerry in a parallel universe where he actually spoke the truth,’ but you get the point.]

  • copperpeony

Kerry is a has been. Another empty suit pretending he is effective.

  • derfelcadarn

Don’t worry about Kerry looking the fool he has had plenty of practice. He chose to be in the limelight and went in unprepared he deserves everything he gets and more.

  • TJ

It will/was be the only hard interview on the full Ginsburg Kerry did. Lets hope that when someone does the full Ginsburg Chris Wallace does not take the YouTube video did it with out some serious push back.

  • Paul

The sad thing is that the vast majority of the people who voted for Obama are such ignorant, mindless idiots that they are blissfully unaware of this situation (along with Fast & Furious, Benghazi, IRS, NSA, etc etc etc)

    • nc

And would vote for him again if they could.

    • gman213

    “Reporting for doody!” Heh…
“The senseless murders of over a thousand innocent civilians, savagely killed by barbarians using tactics not seen since the days of Gengus Caan…we’ve got evidence of heads being lopped off, hands and feet dismembered…children lay convulsing on the ground…This demands a swift and serious response by …..um…er…that is…um…well, Assad better look out, ’cause the Obama Administration will only take so much killing of children…um,,,. by weapons of war.”
Thank God Kerry did not become President!

      you misspelled “Jenjis”

  • notenoughtime

Pres. O spends more time calculating how to throw members of his administration under the bus for his missteps than trying to create jobs or form some semblance of a national security plan! No hope; no change; no future!

  • AZGunslinger

There is not enough pain in the history of the universe for liberals to suffer regarding Obama’s laughable foreign policy.

  • Joe

after reading this I will have to watch the replay as I missed the original.

  • ObamaFail

This is what happens when a Democrat spends all of their time getting soft-ball interviews that only stroke their ego instead of asking them tough questions. When they get hit with real tough questions, they buckle like belts.

  • http://discus.com yourmamatoo

    How sad.
    This Administration is shameful.
    No character. No backbone.
This is all on Obama. He drew red lines in the sand. And did nothing.
    Now look what he sows.

    • beebop1952

On this lack of backbone thing? Leading from the top.

      • http://discus.com yourmamatoo

Leading from behind is not honorable.

  • Barack Hussein Sharpton

The Obama administration wilts under tough questioning because they haven’t ever been subjugated to any tough questioning. They’ve atrophied the ability to answer questions because the media always tee’s up softballs to them like “Are Republican’s all racist because they oppose Obama?”

  • JoeCollins

Why is Obama starting a war? And, will Nobel Committee want their Peace Prize back?

  • DutyFirst

Kerry was not there to be interviewed, he was there to deliver two talking points – 1. the president has made the correct decision and 2. it is now in the hands of congress. All press conferences by the Whitehouse Spokeslier will be repeat these two ad nauseum. The lame stream media talking heads will follow suit. The pResident has got himself covered now regardless of the vote in congress – if No then the Repub No votes will be highlighted, if Yes then the Dem Yes votes will be highlighted and if Yes and it ends badly then the Repub Yes votes and ‘we the people’ will be blamed. After all it will have been our representatives that said Yes. If only this administration could be so artful and effective coming up with and implementing policy that is good for the country. But any parent knows that children have an amazing ability to be at their most industrious and clever when doing what they shouldn’t be doing. nuff said.

    • Paul C.

Amen, well said. The prez pushed it off on congress then went golfing.

  • Axelgreaser

KERRY SHOULD HAVE WORN A SUSAN RICE MASK as he made his rounds Sunday and explained: “… But putting together the best information that we have available to us today our current assessment is that what’s happening in Syria was in fact initially a spontaneous reaction to what had just transpired hours before, somewhere, almost a copycat of– of the demonstrations against, err…against something, somewhere, I can’t be specific at this time, which were prompted, of course, by the Sequel to the Benghazi video.” Thank you, and yes, I do have ketchup on my tie. Heinz, of course, and yes, Assad and I have formally broken up and yes I do have a little egg on my rubber Susan Rice mask. And no, I’m not going to play golf. I’m the yachter. I have REAL money. And none of you do.”

  • LR99

Obama is such an A-hole! He’s about to use our men & women of the armed forces & our money to launch an attack on Syria just to save face because he doesn’t know diplomacy and so vein he’s painted himself in to a corner and yet he goes out to play golf? GOLF? He’s EFFING Golfing!!! If this was Bush the media would be breaking into the White House to rip him another one!!
So glad there are people like Chris Wallace otherwise we’d be a Dictatorship by now!

  • chetnapier

  • AZWarrior

Kerry assumed he could go on the five Sunday news shows and spew his talking points uninterrupted. Hey Kerry, four out of five used to be good. Buffoon.
