President’s Obamacare push to faith leaders includes MSNBC’s Al Sharpton

President Obama is so effective a leader he can devote every minute of every day to the economy and find extra time to hold a meeting with a selection of the country’s African-American faith leaders to discuss “how civil rights and equality are closely tied to voting rights and closing the gap on education, unemployment, and access to health care.”

Also among those faith leaders was MSNBC host Al Sharpton, who’s no stranger to the White House: he, other MSNBC hosts and selected “progressive journalists” were summoned soon after the 2012 election to help the president get his message back on track.

The White House press office reports that the faith leaders shared with the president their plans to inform their congregations about Obamacare’s health care marketplaces, and they concluded their meeting with a prayer.

Tomorrow? Back to getting that stubborn economy back on track, as promised.

          Gimme that Old Time Religion…

    • Elaine

Most of the FAITH leaders in the room are black so was this about the March on DC or the forcing of Obamacare down our throats? They’re not even real “reverends” in my book, they’re race baiters. The only ones who will listen to them are Obamacare supporters already.

Amtrak, Social Security, Postal Service, Medicare, Mass Transit, Welfare, Cash for Clunkers, Solar Energy….. all GOVT. run and ALL going broke or belly-up. Yes, PLEEZE let’s put our hell-care in their hands, for sure!

    Keepin’ it classy. As usual.

  • Billie Slash

Al Sharpton & Valerie Jarrett? Sounds more like a coven.

  • Clete Torres

Doesn’t this violate the Establishment clause?

    /SARC

Yeah, Holder, Jarrett, and Sharpton on the same committee. What could possibly go wrong?

    • al hunt

      as they explain obamacare….

      • tops116

It’s sad how those three are more qualified for their jobs than Obama is for his.

  • URGR82

Maybe Obama can get Al Sharpton + followers and KKK to meet..
Then maybe they will stop dragging the rest of us into their race war….

    • ObamaFail

I don’t know. I doubt even Obama can get Harry Reid, the leader of the KKK, to shake hands with Al Sharpton, leader of black people who blame whitey for all of their own self-made problems.

  • KnowThyEnemy

    There god is government.

  • Stephen L. Hall

Obama is trying hard to convince that segment of the population hardest hit by unemployment from his failed economic policies that they should support his failed health insurance policies that will keep them from getting full time jobs with health coverage. And they are foolish or corrupt enough to buy into it.

    • dagnytaggart

They are no fools. They make millions keeping their “people” in poverty and blaming working tax payers.

Combine the amount of intelligence and you couldn’t even fill a shot glass.

Can someone please tell me why that entire gathering of race hustlers is not being called out for the racist gaggle that it was?? What if a bunch of white American Pastors got together in the White House for a meeting about “civil rights”?? I am so sick and tired of black people segregating themselves from the American Experience, and then bitching about how “racist” the rest of us are. Any perceived advances in the relations between black and white America during the last 50 years are GONE, and we are worse than were were in the 50s. I know. I was there.

    • DWAAP

EXACTLY, they prey upon the pity party of keeping the black man down, when they are making millions off of it, and if anyone calls them out on it, they are the racist!

  • objectivefactsmatter

    “NO WHITES ALLOWED”

Gee, that’s a lot better than before.

  • objectivefactsmatter

I’m arranging a “summit” for “white faith leaders.” I’m going on the talk show circuit to see if I can get some media support to promote the event.

  • stuckinIL4now

Wait–“faith leaders” and “Al Sharpton” in the same headine–huh?

  • Spasmolytic

It is unconscionable that Al Sharpton (MSNBC employee) has become an Obama adviser. Lets put this in perspective, a false rape accuser actually influences government policy.

    • Sharkteeth

      lololololol

    • Clete Torres

Well, think about it: Who better to advise 0bama on how to violate the American public and avoid repercussion than one who has it down to a science?

    • Elaine

Scary who is running this government now. A bunch of incompetent liars!

  • ObamaFail

Was that “Prayer” they ended their meeting on a real prayer? Or was it something that required knowledge of hating the Infidels?

  • KBS2011

Why aren’t they discussing the rotting moral fabric of the black “community?”

    • dagnytaggart

      Psssst! It’s rayyyyyyciiiiiist.

    • tops116

Because to them, it’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

    • trixiewoobeans

      They helped cause it!

    • trixiewoobeans

      They helped cause it!

  • http://www.black-and-right.com/ IceColdTroll

Oh my, where are the leftards now, beating their breasts, wailing, and gnashing their teeth over that “wall of separation”?

    • dagnytaggart

Well, their breast are likely hanging around their knees since they refuse to wear proper support, so perhaps they can’t reach them?

  • dagnytaggart

Al Sharpton, a faith leader?? What a joke. No seriously, I thought it was a joke, like in the movies when a hooker calls a customer her “Uncle Ben” but he really isn’t…

  • Damien Johnson

Politics has no place in the pulpit, black pulpit or otherwise.

    • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

Except in Presidential election years, for white, Democrat candidates. I think that’s written into the IRS code.

      • Damien Johnson

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was.

  • neoface

But of course, all his racist useful idiots are there.

    • DWAAP

Per the picture, they all sit there ready for him to toss the ball and fetch. Pathetic bunch of racist!

  • tops116

If Obama wanted to push Obamacare, he could try signing up for it instead of exempting himself from it. Ditto for Pelosi, Reid and all the other nitwits that fought for this nonsense and later tried to weasel out of it.

By the by, I see a lot of black people rallying in support of the man in charge without question. Does that make them Uncle Toms? Or is it that a distinction only for black Republicans? Rhetorical question, of course.

  • NXXII

Aren’t Jackson and Sharpton reverends like Colonel Sanders was a military officer or Dr.Pepper was a surgeon?

    • World B. Free

Any bozo can become a reverend. I have a crazy friend who decided to become one. He’s a great guy, but believe me, he is no “man of the cloth.”

I’m not even sure he believes in God. He just had to take the courses and pass the test, and voila, he’s a reverend.

  • The Jackal

What a Joke. Exactly what rights don’t Black people have that the rest of us do. Name one.

  • DWAAP

He does nothing short of promoting racism in this country, he has set this country back 50 or more years on race wars! He is a pathetic racist man sitting in our WH! Watch when 2016 elections come about, he will some how declare marshal law and take over the WH for good!

  • Axelgreaser

LOOK AT THAT PHOTO! IT MAKES ME SICK THAT NOT ONLY OBAMA IS SHAPING OUR NATION’S DEMISE…but that he’s flanked by the likes of Eric (Janet Reno Era) Holder and the despicable MSNBC spokesperson, Al ‘Tawana Brawley’ Sharpton. What is wrong with that picture?

    • ChHarrison

It’s racist. Where are the white faith leaders?

  • John Boggs

wow…Having a meeting on anything and having the king of race bating involved really just instantly delegitimizes the whole thing and illustrates his true purpose. This president has used race in a way that is truly distasteful and below the office that he holds…with an iron grip I might ad.

  • World B. Free

There isn’t a single person in the room of any race other than black.

    Because, diversity and all.

  • Magnifico

So they discussed faith, civil rights, voting rights, Obamacare, education, and unemployment, eh? And what’s the main problem with each of these issues? That’s right…………….rrrrrraaaaaaaaacccccciisssmm!!!!!!!!

If old white men would just GTF out of the way, Obama and his posse could fix the damage done from all the way back to the time of our founding fathers.
