Rep. Steve Stockman invites rodeo clown to Texas, decries lib hypocrisy

Well, that might be pushing it, but Rep. Steve Stockman is reaching out to the Missouri rodeo clown booted for wearing an Obama mask at the state fair this past weekend:

Stockman has invited Tuffy Gessling to perform at an upcoming Texas rodeo.

From the press release:

“The liberal reaction is straight out of Alinsky.  They want to crush dissent by isolating and polarizing anyone who questions Obama, even if it’s a rodeo clown with a harmless gag,” said Stockman. “The idea to create a state of fear and make people afraid to trivialize Obama.  No one tried to personally destroy the rodeo clown who wore a George H.W. Bush mask.”

He’s right. At a 1994 rodeo, a bull attacked a dummy wearing a George H.W. Bush mask. Smells an awful lot like a double standard.

More truth from Stockman:

Those last 3 tweets are spot-on about what’s wrong with liberal logic.

  • Canadian in USA

“Liberals believe free speech is a flaw that must be corrected.”

Liberals believe in free speech only when it agrees with their position or pre-existing narrative.

    • ObamaFail

If you aren’t threatening to kill a Republican, shouting about killing unborn babies, or worshipping Obama, libs hate you having free speech.

      • Texan357

Yup. Some speech is freer than others.

        • CatHerder

          …and worth every penny.

    • objectivefactsmatter

Liberals believe in their own free speech, not yours.

Liberals believe in free everything…as long as someone else is paying for it.

Apparently, rodeo clown jobs are neither created or saved.

Republicans finally created a job.. lawd! and it’s a low wage job.. hahahahahaha

    • comfypaws

The salary of rodeo clowns can vary, depending on which events they work and how
skilled they are at the job. According to Career Search, a median salary for
2011 was about $51,000. Rodeo clowns with the most skills demand higher
salaries, with the top clowns making six figures.

      • Markward

Apparently I should have said “Screw engineering, Hello rodeo clown!”

    • MNWoman

Actually, I would say the true job creation is hiring instructors for all the ridiculous sensitivity training courses people are being forced to take because they exercised free speech.

    • ObamaFail

How many jobs has that piece of crap you lib morons elected? Not many really. And many people who had jobs are now getting their hours cut drastically because that piece of trash is trying to kill more jobs with his Obamacare nonsense. You call yourself poindexter, but I think you forget that you actually have to be intelligent to be referred to that.

    • $7610427

Hey poindexter…I’m certain that Leon Coffee and Lecile Harris would have a grand laugh over your “low wage” quip! And, that’s just to name a few rich and famous bullfighters…

    • lainer51

you should come out of Mommy’s basement and give it a try… you might enjoy dropping that basket of fries into that big, scary vat of grease.

    • mike_in_kosovo

And like usual, it was a Democrat that destroyed it.

  • MNWoman

Well said, Rep. Stockman. You are one of the few who are not afraid to speak the truth.

I hope he can gather a few more members of Congress to speak out against this absolutely insane situation. The hypocrisy is unbelievable, or rather it is all too believable. Rep. Stockman really does not care what the liberal elite think. Remember, the State of the Union was held during the height of the gun control debate and he brought Ted Nugent as his guest.

I will say it isn’t just the hipocrisy of criticizing the clown for wearing an Obama mask.. What is absolutely terrifying is what all happened afterward. The president of the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association (I think that is the correct name) not only resigned, but apparently he is being investigated at his day job at a school district. Keep in mind it’s not the clown being investigated at his day job, but the President of a Rodeo/Cowboy association. Plus the NAACP is calling for the DOJ and Secret Service to investigate. WTH???? Investigate for what? Mocking the President? Of course they would be furious for mocking any president, right? Not just Obama?

    • AR-Mike

But the NAACP is fast becoming a JOKE in front of the majority of Americans. They are losing what LITTLE “respect” they had, when they went after a Hispanic George Zimmerman, calling him” White” in the Media, for days after the incident. You remember, when that poor, cute little boy was “murdered” by the “white guy” that was the “neighborhood watch commander”, for walking through the “White Guy’s” neighborhood, just “eating a bag of Skittles”!!!!! Oh wait, then the truth came out!! Skittles, Robitussin, and Arizona Watermelon drink = “Purple Drank”, (well that’s what the “Ganksta’s” call it) which makes you Violent, and Paranoid!!! OOPS. Well how about that, for a loss of what very little “credibility” that lame ass “organization” ever had! Love It!

  • Love of Country

That’s right, come to Texas where America is still America.
In 1994 when this happened to George H W Bush at a rodeo in NJ there was no outrage, no calls of racism, no one got banned for life and no one had to go to sensitivity training classes.

Fast forward to today’s racist, iron-fisted communist, Barack Hussein Owebamao and it’s national headlines, one person resigns, one person banned for life, everyone goes to sensitivity training (look how bad whitey is and has been) and if the NAACP has their way …. monies will be pulled and the secret service will be pouring through everyone’s lives and emails looking for just a hint of racist language so as to be able to call all cowboys ‘racist’.

So come to Texas, rodeo clown … you don’t have to lose your livelihood and life’s passion for the rest of your life just because racist communists on the Left want you to. (unbelievable!)

Aside from that, folks … welcome to today’s DNC where Lord of the Flies meets Animal Farm. But I still find it hard to believe the people in power in this country could/would actually be forcing every last failed social and fiscal policy in Detroit City to the rest of the entire country. We’re in serious trouble and if we don’t get the majority of Americans to see things our way by 2018 or 2020 it will actually be impossible to make a come-back (both as a Party and a country) …. 100% impossible. Because by then, the Supreme Court will clearly be packed and over-run by communist ideologues and illegals and folks on the dole will have flooded our polls.

I’m just saying … if we lose in ’14 and ’16 and then still in ’18 …. our children and grandchildren will most assuredly witness our country go straight into the violent and poverty-stricken iron-fisted communist crapper (no hyperbole) …. but I digress!

Pretty soon the most popular job in America will be teaching “sensitivity training” classes to conservatives who dared to defy liberally defined political correctness.

  • Ironhawk86

Words cannot express how badly I want this man to run for governor of Texas.

    • MNWoman

Don’t worry, Wendy Davis is thinking of running for Governor :)

Seriously, please tell me the people of Texas wouldn’t actually elect her!

      • southerntragedy

Are you kidding me? We are sooooo looking forward to the debates. I can’t wait to show up when she’s near my town *outskirts of Houston* with my Abortion Barbie sign. Heck, I may even travel to Austin as well. I dare them to question me. I don’t tolerate nonsense.

You send me squirrel chasing and I will kill it, dress it, cook it and eat it. I love fried squirrel with cream gravy. Heavy on the pepper. :)

Hopefully she will have knowledge of a Houston Dr. who will be going to trial and will be convicted by the time she is campaigning. I understand that Gosnell lived in a different state.

        • MNWoman

The debates sound like they could be awesome if she decides to run. Thank God for Texas and its continuous appreciation of conservative values.

And thanks for the…umm…interesting squirrel image 😉

      • BAW

From what I know, I don’t believe she could even be re-elected to her state Senate seat (FW is not one of our SJL type Democrat areas). She ran as a “moderate” Democrat to get elected to begin with. I don’t expect Davis to do well at all in a state wide election.

        • Worship Dancer

um you do know that Senators, whether state or federal, are elected by the entire state, right? now representatives are only voted on by the constituents in their specific districts.

          • BAW

Uh, no. Not in Texas. I don’t know about other states and wouldn’t claim to but in Texas we have 31 State Senators elected from 31 districts. Both U. S. Senators are elected statewide but I only vote for one State Senator, I assure you I would know if I had to vote for all 31.

          • MNWoman

Yeah, I’ve never heard of a state senator having to be elected by the entire state. I only vote for 1 state senator who represents my district.

The U.S. Senators are elected by all the citizens of MN.

          • BAW

Well thank you very much. We do what we can.

          • BAW

Specific case in point. I had never heard of Wendy Davis until filibuster night. She’d never been on my ballot. If I thought about it I would have assumed she represented the Austin area. The next day, however, my son called and said, “Do you know about this?” I said yes, he said, “She’s my Senator!” He’s in the FW area. His sister lives nearby in Dallas and is not in Davis’ district.

          • Worship Dancer

then texas needs to make sure that douchebag doesn’t end up in DC

          • BAW

Well there is a limit to what we can do on that. If Davis wanted to she could probably get elected as a US Rep from a liberal district. So far we haven’t been able to keep Shelia Jackson Lee from being sent to DC. I have family that lives in her district and just yesterday I was reading about some of the voting issues True The Vote has documented in district 18. (People are working on it.) The saddest part is that it 18 is the district that elected Barbara Jordan. I didn’t always agree with Jordan but she was a Texan we could be proud of, not an embarrassment like SLJ and Davis.

        • southerntragedy

She barely won her district. Tea Party candidate Konni Burton is running against her and we are going to Ted Cruz her. Our wagons are circled. Abortion Barbie is toast. 😉

    • BAW

I’m okay with Greg Abbott, is there some reason not to be? I know he was smart enough to appoint Ted Cruz and he successfully defended displays of the 10 commandments before the SC. And I get the impression he has a sense of humor (I know he has overcome that I would consider a serious hard ship and it’s been my experience that requires a sense of humor).

A quip that’s been attributed to him is his description of his job as AG, “I go into the office in the morning, I sue Barack Obama, and then I go home.”

  • BAW

I was reminded of these Charlton Heston quotes today:

“If Americans believed in political correctness, we’d still be King George’s boys – subjects bound to the British crown.”

“Political correctness is tyranny with manners.”

  • Abiss

Dear Rep. Stockman, Cut, Jib, Newsletter.

  • stuckinIL4now

We need many many more like Stockman–a representative with a spine who’s willing to actually represent Americans and American freedoms.

  • Spasmolytic

This rodeo clown is an American hero!

  • Jeremy

He is right the liberal hypocrisy is hilarious.

  • James P. Reaume III

My version of Ebony. We Are Rodeo Clown! lol

  • Right Wired

I don’t know who Rep. Steve Stockman is, but I like him.

  • Adi

Because airlifting basketballs and dogs was already taken.

  • MarcusFenix

Because with all other issues fixed, the Dems have been doing a bang up job lately with those other minor issues…you know, the economy and job creation, problems with the NSA spying programs, and all those other really minor things. Was it intentional that those things are in the toilet, or is Obama getting right on that after his next vacation?

Quick, maybe Bo will let you hitch a helicoptor ride back to your house in Absurdistan.

  • mike_in_kosovo

Given that it was the DEMS that *made* it an issue in the first place, you fail as usual.

  • MNWoman

I’ve never been to Texas, but it certainly does seem like Texans do not tolerate BS. That is awesome!

Thank you, Texas, for sending fearless representatives and senators, such as Cruz, Goehmert and Stockman, to Washington. Keep up the good work.
