Of course, the AP is forgetting the caveat of percentages that “new” jobs have been….mainly food service and retail, traditionally on the lowest end of the pay scale. And a pretty decent chunk of those jobs are all part time.

Something else of note…in May/June, stats were being touted about how we added 200k+ jobs into the economy…but Obama and his people forgot one important footnote. At the same time that 200k jobs were added, approximately 5,000,000 high school and college graduates entered the job force full time. So, add 200k jobs, increase the already bloated job pool by another 5 million people……Just saying.

Obama can’t get out of office fast enough.

  I don’t think there will ever be real journalism. I like Breitbart et al., but they are not so much objective jouralists as they are trying to combat liberal media bias. Same with Fox News. They clearly have conservative political views, but with the MSM strongly supporting the liberal agenda, we need aggressive alternative media to represent conservative views, too.

I realize this “math-y” thing is hard, but could someone explain to me–like I’m a 5th grader–how an INCREASE in the number of unemployment applications equates to an INCREASE in the number of jobs? Are they counting the jobs that have just been vacated as “jobs created”?

The employment-to-population ratio has steadily risen from 58.3% to 58.7% since December of 2009–a whopping .4%. Also since that time, the civilian labor force participation rate has steadily dropped 1.2%, from 64.6% to 63.4%.
