Howard Dean: Sarah Palin was right about death panels! Yeaarrggh!

When you’ve lost Hollerin’ Howard Dean, it may be time to rethink some things.

In 2009, Sarah Palin coined the term “death panels” as a more accurate name for Obamacare’s Independent Payment Advisory Board, or IPAB. Palin was widely ridiculed for her claim, but today, Howard Dean, of all people, is suggesting that she was on to something. After initially dismissing Palin’s credibility and assailing her for her remarks, the fist-pumping firebrand is coming out forcefully today against the IPAB:

Dean makes it clear that, to him, the Affordable Care Act holds a great deal of promise. But he has no doubt that the IPAB is a disaster in the making:

One major problem is the so-called Independent Payment Advisory Board. The IPAB is essentially a health-care rationing body. By setting doctor reimbursement rates for Medicare and determining which procedures and drugs will be covered and at what price, the IPAB will be able to stop certain treatments its members do not favor by simply setting rates to levels where no doctor or hospital will perform them.

The IPAB will cause frustration to providers and patients alike, and it will fail to control costs. When, and if, the atmosphere on Capitol Hill improves and leadership becomes interested again in addressing real problems instead of posturing, getting rid of the IPAB is something Democrats and Republicans ought to agree on.

Will Dean’s views generate the same uproar from the Left that Palin’s did?

So do we. In the meantime, here’s a solution that will assuage all our concerns:

  • Cy

Man, if only liberals read the bill before voting on it they would have known all this years ago…

    • Stone Bryson

They had to pass it to know what was it, natch. Modern DC, working for you.

      Or themselves.

    • Lord Foggybottom

They knew what they were getting and didn’t care at the time because they wanted the votes. It’s all about power and control for these people, not about what’s right for the country, let alone the individual.

    • Brother bob

Liberals literacy only limited to comic books. Why do u think all those iconic characters turned gay?

      • ObamaFail

Marvel comics maybe. They’re definitely run by liberals. IN a recent Captain America book they depicted the Tea Party as violent racists.

      • epobirs

In the DC game tie-in series, ‘Injustice – Gods Among Us,’ Catwoman, a violent career criminal, lectures the US President about the need for gun control. I kid you not.

    • OLLPOH ~ America

Sad to say this, Cy…They weren’t suppose to read it.
All of this is for a Grand Federal Database on ‘Everyone’…
      All Health Records,
All your Income and Financials will be inputted at the IRS,
All your Credit Card Swiping and ATM Card Swiping per Senator Enzi-Rep (IL) will be tracked by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau,
A Gun Control Database more likely than not will be done by The U.N. Small Arms Treaty Ratification by the Senate,
      BioMetrics (eye xrays),
      GPS in all cars,
      GPS in all phones,
Black Boxes in Cars in 2014…
And the other really sad kicker for OGovt is…
Clapper says he tells the least truthful statement possible.
***No one thinks just a little bit about what they think are stars in the sky…
Just “how many” “Surveillance Satellites” that are in the sky and how long have they been in the sky, and they don’t tell We The People that they are shooting another Rocket with a Satellite on it, and for what.
Most folks tend to think its just for the weather and the military. And just inside of 2 weeks ago the Navy launched another one…”Secret”.

      • OLLPOH ~ America

*Think about it (you probably already have) – pull the information from all of those individual databases together and what do you have but a complete image of each and every one of us!!!!
        * Each piece of information that our wondrous OGov gathers on us can be pulled into a database for later retrieval. They can track you by your phone (GPS enabled or cell tower signal strengths), car location (hello OnStar (one example) – can you locate my stolen vehicle?), your financial purchases (oh, so you’re into intimate apparel?), your heart is weak (medicines R Us)…
*This isn’t the country that We were raised in, how about you? We declare it Soviet Union II.

    • Osumashi Kinyobe

      As Sarah Palin had.

Now, she is smoking a cigar she lit with a one hundred dollar bill and soaking in a bubble bath of her complete rightness.

  • Patriot

Howard Dean, a calming voice in a sea of uncertainty. (Please vote down all you want!)

    • Eric D. Mertz

Normally, I would find this amusing as sarcasm. It truly scares me that he is a source of rationality in the debate. When “The Whako” (To use his nickname from World War Z) is one of the voices of reason, it indicates we are living in rather unreasonable times. Strauss and Howe are being proved right with every day it seems.

    • TugboatPhil

As crazy as the world is getting, it somehow makes sense that Howard Dean is making a rational point….several years too late to do any good.

      • Mekadave

I’m in shock. Did I wake up in Bizarro World?

        • Danny Meeker

I know right? Next thing you know, Don Lemon will start agreeing with Bill O’Reilly. Oh, wait….

    • bungopony

Not really-it’s easy to say,”I made a “mistake””once you’ve gotten the results you wanted all along.

  • V the K

I know liberals are stupid, but it never made sense to me that they were absolutely appalled that private insurance companies would make decisions about a patient’s treatment but totally okay that Government bureaucrats would make those same decisions.

    Seriously, WTF?

    • dcbsky

A thousand Likes to you, my friend!

    • Clete Torres

Everyone (you know who I mean) is always up in arms that those evil insurance companies would limit coverage, and deny payment for ‘experimental’ and pointless treatment for those seriously ill or terminal patients that might benefit from that treatment, and they were the loudest voices screaming for ‘universal healthcare’ and ‘single payer’ systems, and the loudest voices deriding those intelligent enough to see what 0bamacare would come to be. Now, instead of denial of treatment for terminal patients, the unelected bureaucrats that will ultimately be the decision makers will be denying treatment for anyone that they deem to be unworthy of treatment, like the elderly, people with multiple conditions, and 11 year-olds who need an immediate lung transplant…

Wonder how loud they’ll cheer for 0-care when it’s their siblings, children or parents that are cut off because the number-crunchers say “no.”

      • Chris M

They won’t have to worry about that. They will have amassed enough wealth to pay for whatever treatment they want. Or get a waiver from a political crony.

      • Cain

“Now, instead of denial of treatment for terminal patients, the unelected bureaucrats that will ultimately be the decision makers will be denying treatment for anyone that they deem to be unworthy of treatment…”

You can add Tea Party members/supporters to that list, anyone with even a hint of conservative sensibilities, white males (evil by definition in lefty-land), NRA members, any resident of Texas, etc. ad nauseum… It is no coincidence that the IRS will be administering Obamacare. Their criminal activity directed against conservative groups requesting tax-exempt status looks like it was only the dry run. The real fun starts when they get to play God with the lives of their political adversaries.

        • Clete Torres

That’s why I have never registered with any political party, and make no donations to any party that need be recorded or reported.
Hell, I have perfect cover – I married a liberal. On purpose.

          • aztectrumpet

don’t worry, they will soon target everyone on sites like this and somehow get our info.

        • bungopony

Perhaps that’s their whole purpose-smugly certain that theirs will be the whip hand forever.

      • screamingmad

They have waivers……..well until they piss someone off.

      • Jersey tarheel

They’ll ensure that the answers won’t be NO for their loved ones and friends. There is so much corruption in the government bureaucracy that I put nothing past the incumbents.

      • bungopony

How much of a reach is it to wonder when people will start being denied treatment because they’re “racist”or”homophobic”or “Islamophobic”?The next admin, emboldened by this one’s casual abuse of power, and seeing no consequences result from those abuses, will only get worse, especially if they, too are Dems.
How many of you,as you read my question, actually nodded, knowing the terrible answer?

    • TocksNedlog

You know how this goes. The liberal ‘wisdom’ is that without the evil, corrupting PROFIT MOTIVE (booga booga!) affecting decisions, coverage will magically become more equitable and compassionate.

I’ve heard that the government will be offering free unicorn pony rides to Obamacare enrolled kids.

      • V the K

Yeah, because Government involvement has worked so well in ensuring quality education for all.

    • Appleboos

You know liberals are stupid? Your entire party is a smokescreen to induce income transfer to the rich. They distract you with nonsense scandals, convince you Obama is going to take your guns and laugh as you regurgitate their words while they take all of your money. The rank and file right are so easy to manipulate it’s comical to watch. The current system of healthcare in America is an abomination and one in which the rich steal from the sick on a daily, minute by minute basis. Obama attempts to reform the system before it destroys itself and the Insurance companies feed you your fears and your eat out of the palm of your hand. You people are such a joke and I’m getting to the point where instead of trying to silence you I will just devise my own ways to make money off the fears I feed you. It’s just so easy to do.

  • WhoMeToo
  • Stu Gotts

That’s the most coherent thing to ever find it’s way out of Howie’s empty skull.

    • Clete Torres

Most likely the only coherent thing.

  • Aitch748

In about a year’s time, maybe less, the same people who brought you this Obamacare fustercluck will be telling us that it’s time to trust these people to set up a single-payer system and not screw that up royally too.

  • nomoremister

Oh, right … because we don’t have health care rationing now. #cashruleseverythingaroundme

    • Kaya Hund

If you think healthcare is expensive now, just wait until it is free.

      • tops116

Anyone remember when Nancy Pelosi said that passing Obamacare would cause premiums to go down? Well, she sure doesn’t, but here’s a refresher course (one I’m sure we’ll see in a lot of ads next year):

    • Clete Torres

When was the last time you went to the doctor and he refused to treat you?

    • ObamaFail

I’ve never seen a doctor turn a patient away. And my Dad’s doctor is shutting down his practice because of Obamacare. You libs just refuse to admit that your boy Obama’s plan isn’t going to do any good for Americans.

    • NRPax

Funny thing though: For right now, we have private companies offering insurance. One turns you down, you can go to their competitor. When the government takes over, that choice is gone.

Gee, I thought you liberals were all about personal choice and pro-freedom. I guess that was conditional. What a shock.

  • CrustyB

That’s the frustrating thing about Sarah Palin. She’s always right. No wonder people don’t want her in politics.

    • Bryn Watkins

What is truly scary is how right Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are. Given how crazy some of their theories sound, only to have Obama and his team keep proving them right makes you want to stop listening – sometimes you just don’t want to know how bad its going to get.

  • FaithColeridge33

Please. Sarah Palin has been right about everything she’s said. She just doesn’t say it in the vernacular of the Ivy League staff lounge.

  • Medicinewoman2

There was a time, people would be flogged for the level of deception this congress has committed!

    • World B. Free

Trust me, if I could only get me hands on some of them, I would love to give them a good old fashioned whuppin’.

      • NRPax

        • King Leer

Spitzer knows someone who can hook them up with that.

It’s been three years and they still haven’t read it. This is not Dickens or Tolstoy, this is 2700 pages of legalese gibberish. The doctors are reading it.

  • CO2 Producer

By “a rationing body,” surely Dean means “a compassionate entity with the purpose of ensuring that everyone receives prompt, simple, affordable/free health care of the highest quality.” How could he mean anything else?

Whether or not someone imposes their will upon another is an issue far different from whether or not we can choose wisely among our options.

    • Felina Flash

Most people are at best, semi literate. They will have no idea what you just said. Remember that fat black chick at the Zimmerman trial … She said it best “you talkin’ ole skool , we be da new skool”.

In other words “you more literate folks speak a language we don’t understand because my generation has little or no education and we like it that way”. Ignorance and food stamps is the new bliss.

      • Cam

Takes time and repetition to get the message across. Also takes reinforcement, by experience.

With any luck, the perusers of this forum have the intellect to understand that the absence of centralized government coercion (liberty) is a concept far different than the simple ability to choose between a couple of choices.

  • Kelly Bustard

It is astounding to me what is passed off as “journalism” these days. Pretty pathetic. Clark Porteous is spinning in his grave…..

  • jazj

Howard Dean hasn’t been locked up yet?

  • allenbarr

Something to think about. The IRS is over Obamacare. So what happens when a procedure is done accidentally that Obama care does not cover and health care pays for it. 2 months later the IRS send you a bill after they paid for it. Or how about they take it out of your account without asking. You see this is the importance of the all seeing all knowing ID chip. When you do get a bill or when you can no longer afford your government health care all the privileged people will be drained dry of money and their assets. WAKE UP. IT IS NOT NEVER WILL BE ABOUT HEALTH CARE.

  • Stan

Only took Dean 5 years to figure out what Palin figured out in 15 minutes?
    Seems about right.

    • nc

      And he’s a doctor, too.

  • Guest

So then, it is possible for some liberals to recover from their Palin Derangement Syndrome.

    • bluewaternavy

      It’s likely just a temporary recovery-expect a relapse about……now!

      • Exodus2011

hey – here’s GOPe TOOL OPPORTUNITY again!

I’ve been considering the lessons WI can teach us:

It would be worthwhile Tea Party America studying carefully what Conservatives in so-called ‘blue’ WI have achieved in the last 3 years:

WI (2010, 2011 (recalls) and 2012) has shown us that some blue/purple States could well become ‘red’ *if* the right TRUSTED Conservative Reformer Candidates are found to stand for office

people are reluctant to volunteer for Liars or corrupt Permanent Political Classers even if they have an (R) by their name

The Tea Party was very active in Wisconsin in 2012 (as well as 2010, 2011) ….notice they returned all their Conservative Reformers to the State Govt so that their Proven Reformer Gov Scott Walker could continue advancing WI in the right direction

also notice that those same Tea Partiers did not elect R/R, or Tommy Thompson to the US Senate

(they also dumped the proggy hero US Senator Feingold in 2010! and also that long-standing corruptocrat chair of the ways and means committee in the US HOR, defeating BIG LABOR there!)

WI Tea Partiers and Tea Partiers in general will not work and volunteer for Candidates THEY DON’T TRUST

I believe that WI has shown us what is possible nationwide … in WI there are clearly dormant Conservative voters who have been disconnected, unengaged from politics, due to disgust with BOTH private political parties …. UNTIL … they found Scott Walker

they not only elected him and Kleefisch, (AND defeated Big Labor backed Recall attempts) but they also gave them a controlling Conservative State House and Senate, PLUS they made sure that Prosser made it through to the Judiciary (in 2011 V. the Big Labor-backed Kloppy woman, and with some last minute vital help from Sarah Palin) because they KNEW Walker’s reforms would be challenged in Court

We need to reproduce WI in as many States as possible (blue, purple, red, whatever)

        #BeClingers ————-> #AmericaRISING

#WAR ——————-> #CrushROVE (enabler of the Obamacare MONSTROSITY)

  • socalcon

So, has Jay Carney giggled away this lefty comment yet?

  • DrMorbius

Is Dean so dense that he truly doesn’t understand that rationing is an integral part of a socialized health care system? Rationing is already effectively being practised in Great Britain and other places, and it is only going to get worse as the developed world’s populations continue to age.

The potential dystopia we face is not the Malthusian nightmare of ‘Soylent Green’; it is the seemingly pleasant, evergreen nanny state of ‘Logan’s Run’,,,

  • bill_a_bob

So the hospital triage scene in Idiocracy is Obamacare then??!!

  • Libertyship46

If Obamacare is not repealed, then this nonsense will keep on going since there will not be anything to stop it. So when elderly people start dying because they’re not getting the treatment they need because it is seen by the government to be “too expensive,” who do we complain to? Who will be held responsible for this? Do the liberals just say, “Ooops, we made a mistake?” Tell that to the dead. Liberals and socialists like Obama never consider the unintended consequences of their actions, leaving the rest of us to suffer the consequences. And that future is almost here. This fall, if this monstrosity is not de-funded, it will continue on, crushing the rest of us. I hope conservatives stand tall and stop this thing, now, in Congress.

    • ObamaFail

It wouldn’t be an “unintended consequence.” It’s 100% intended.

  • AZGunslinger

For supposedly being a dumb broad who doesn’t have 2 clues to rub together, Sarah Palin was certainly clairvoyant on this matter. Too bad the MSM does not have the integrity to apologize to her.

  • jodipg82

Whether or not it was signed into law CAN be irrelevant as long as the masses come together and refuse to be treated like sheep. If your doctor asks you something that does not pertain to your health, such as if you have firearms in the house, patients need to simply refuse to answer. America forgets that there are only 535 people that make up Congress, 1 President and 1 VP and a couple other idiots thrown in the mix versus billions of people. WE are the majority and WE are the bosses, somewhere over the years that has been lost and forgotten.

  • Cherub Rock

I guess it’s hard to quit stupid. Sarah Palin can’t open her mouth without spewing untruths, just like her Tea Party cohort Michelle Bachmann, and we all know what is happening to that “hairdo.” Try getting away from Fox, try not reading your chain emails that have no facts at all, and try doing a little research people and stop showing just how ignorant you all are….

    • Ronald Green

And we have another ‘Palin Hater’…. Have fun with it. At least her name isn’t Pelosie.

      • Cherub Rock

Do you have anything to say that’s relevant and educated? Or are you just OK with acting like a child?

        • Corey Dennison

Same question right back at ya. You jumped on this thread spewing bile, ignorance and hatred.

And that’s about all you added.

“The people don’t elect US Presidents, God does” – Sarah Palin
I come in here “spewing hatred” because this women is clearly out of her league and the good people at Fox News continue to parade this women around like she is good for this country, which she is not. If you like Sarah Palin, fine. But start to take notice of the things that she says, the things to come from her mouth that aren’t true, that her fans believe because you can’t take 2 minutes to do any independent research into a women that clearly is uneducated.

        • Ronald Green

How could anyone have a rational discussion with someone that hates another, about that person? It’s like trying to discuss rationally, with Hitler about the Jews. You’ve got nothing but your hate of Palin and a lot of already refuted liberal talking points about her. So why should I want to give you a platform to throw out all those talking points yet again? Like I said have fun with your hate. And if you’ve got nothing but more liberal insults, don’t bother. No one is ‘stupid’ here except the child that came in here calling everyone else “stupid”.

  • Ken Morgan

when you get rid of obama ,all of his gabage will go with him and i here its very hot dowm there

  • Ken Morgan

if obama was not paying these people they would not be following him around like a puppy doing all his dirty work.

  • sodakhic

When Obama gives us the truth then we’ll worry about Twitchy.

  • Clete Torres

I disagree. The IPAB is designed to reign in costs, and part of that is by not paying for treatment for patients that fall under a certain set of parameters.

It doesn’t really matter to me who coined the term ‘death panels’ as much as it does that the term is needed at all.

  • Jason Knust

And you obviously did not read the article. The opinion piece from the WSJ was written by Howard Dean. The twitter entry was simply a humorous way of saying that Sarah Palin was right when she criticized the idea of a panel. “… bureaucrats in either the private or public sector are making medical decisions without knowing the patients.” That is exactly what Palin (and the rest of us) were saying back in 2009.

  • FaithColeridge33

It may not be a literal panel(but at this point you never know). Anyone with sense knew she was speaking figuratively. There will be paperwork, the leads to bureaucrats deciding whether or not you and/or yours lives.

Oh, and just for the fun of it, when she made the death panel statement it was one of the most brilliant terms used in all of politics. The left will never get over it.

  • n4cerinc

M_Baker: ” In other words, there is not such thing as a panel that will decide if a patients life is worth treatment or not as Palin states.”

Dean: “One major problem is the so-called Independent Payment Advisory Board.

There does have to be control of costs in our health-care system. However, rate setting—the essential mechanism of the IPAB—has a 40-year track record of failure. What ends up happening in these schemes (which many states including my home state of Vermont have implemented with virtually no long-term effect on costs) is that patients and physicians get aggravated because bureaucrats in either the private or public sector are making medical decisions without knowing the patients. Most important, once again, these kinds of schemes do not control costs. The medical system simply becomes more bureaucratic.”

  • Michael Anderson (WB)

Dean says that the IPAB will, by definition, ration health care. When health care is rationed some people are left for dead. As Sebelius says, “Some people [will] live. Some people [will] die.”

I have lived under this system in Canada. Health care is rationed because the government cannot keep costs under control. As costs soar bureaucrats make the decisions on who will receive care and who will do without. The doctors are powerless and overworked. The patients suffer and die.

You won’t often hear this side of Canadian healthcare because the system has become Canada’s state religion. Blasphemers are excommunicated.

  • blueniner

Dont mind Baker , he is anti-Palin hater troll!

  • M_Baker

No where in the article did he state the IPAB would decide if a patients life is worth receiving treatments or not as Palin stated. Palin stated that her child or parents lives may be deemed as not worthy of saving and would be cut of medical care for that reason. What Dean is saying is that certain treatments and drugs a patient receives may be determined by the cost of treatments or drugs, not by if the patient is worth any treatment or not, but what treatment or drugs they may receive. Insurance company’s already base treatment on cost effective treatments a patient receives based on cost of the various treatments available.

  • M_Baker

I’m not a hater like far right wing conservatives like to throw out when they can’t reply with a logical and intelligent comment. Have you noticed it’s only the far right conservatives that ever use the word “hate” to describe someone? I do like to point out the truth from the myths and many of Palin’s followers, like blueniner, like to ignore the reality and put Palin on a pedestal. To them that is “hate”. The truth is Palin will never run for another elected office ever again, because she knows from the polls her chances of winning is not good, and if she lost her creditability would be ruined along with donations to Sarah PAC that is already showing declining donations.

  • M_Baker

Then why did Palin claim the panel would decide if her child or parents would be given treatment based on their quality of life. It’s not true now and it has never been true. In fact, the part of the law she was referring to was the consultation between the patient and the doctor about end of life decisions and what the patient would want.

  • Ronald Green

You can live in your liberal denier world all you like, doesn’t change the truth about this at all. You’re sure going to look stupid when your Doctor tells you he can’t do that procedure you need because the bureaucrats won’t fund it.

  • n4cerinc

In the words of Barney Fwank, arguing with you would be like arguing with a dining room table. Seek PDS treatment.

  • Ronald Green

No, I’ve seen you libs do it a whole lot more. You can “dislike” Palin all you like but please don’t anyone call you on it. It might hurt your feelings.

  • idesign2

  • alanstorm

That’s one of the dumbest things you’ve said here, and that’s against some stiff competition. Calling opponents “haters” has been a standard lefty tactic for the last 5-10 years.

As MA points out, “Dean says that the IPAB will, by definition, ration health care. When health care is rationed some people are left for dead.” There’s another name for it: “triage”.

If a company denies your treatment, you have the option to sue, i.e. appeal to the government, among others. If the government denies you treatment…?

  • blueniner

You present lies, myths and heresay from topics that have been already been refuted. You know nothing about Sarah-Pac, but it seems to hit a nerve that she has her own pac, last time I looked people are free to donate to whomever they wish, your pal Hillary now has a pac, freedom of choice dude.

  • Victoria Richardson

Sarah Palin just resigned with Fox News and her tweets and facebook posts get attention on many websites. So Sarah Palin can’t run for office but people like Anthony Wiener and Elliot Spitzer are allowed to run are you flipping kidding me. And to the left Sarah Palin has no creditability so how can she lose creditability when they left didn’t think she had any in the first place. And her PAC is doing quite fine and has raised millions of dollars more than a lot of other PACS out there.

  • M_Baker

There is no denying that you don’t understand the section that Palin refers to as “death panels” is where it talks about the program paying for any consultation the patient may want to have with their doctor on any end of life decisions the patient would like to make for themselves, not the doctor. It has nothing to do with funding for a particular treatment or not that the patient might need. Your insurance company, though, already decides that for you whether you know it or not. Why do you think your doctor needs to get the insurance company’s approval before he preforms surgery or any type of expensive treatment.

  • Ronald Green

There is no denying that you don’t have a clue about this and you just want to try and make Palin look bad, but in truth, it just makes you look like a rabid dog, foaming at the mouth over any mention of Palin. You see, I know your view point and it’s all ‘anti-Palin’, nothing more. Must be horrible to have someone living in your head rent free.

  • Ronald Green

Actually, my Doctor has never said that to me. But keep trying.

  • M_Baker

That is true and is something your insurance company already does with you. That is why a doctor has to get approval from the insurance company before he performs any type of surgery or expensive treatment. It is also why your doctor has to go through other alternative treatments before they will allow him to do surgery, even when he knows what the end result will be.

  • M_Baker

  • M_Baker

You’ve never asked your doctor and your doctor never told you is why you have never heard of it. Again, make that easy phone call and find out for yourself.

  • M_Baker

Palin doesn’t need any help from me to “look bad”, she does that on her own which is why her donations are falling at Sarah PAC and her fan base is declining. I would just like to know when she’ll do an interview like all the other politicians and submit herself to a real interview. Besides all of the soft ball and leading questions she gets on Fox, Palin has never done an interview outside of Fox. What does that tell you?

  • Ronald Green

Blah, Blah, Blah Blah, “I hate Palin”…. We get it, you hate Palin. There make you feel better?

  • blueniner

She works for FOX, that is what tells me, she does interviews there, where do you want her to do interviews at? She has done plenty of impromptu interviews in the past. She does alot of radio interviews. Obama doesnt do alot of interviews either, only for his lapdog cronies.

  • Ronald Green

Here, let me explain it to you. Your doctor may have had to ‘ask’ your insurance company about doing a procedure, but mine never has. Maybe you should upgrade.

  • FaithColeridge33

    Google figuratively please.

  • V the K

So, you must also believe that Obama was literally telling his followers to confront their opponents with guns when he said:
‘If They Bring a Knife to the Fight, We Bring a Gun’” Because the concept of metaphorical speech is apparently beyond your reading level.

  • tops116

“In fact, the part of the law she was referring to was the consultation between the patient and the doctor about end of life decisions and what the patient would want.”

As I recall, Sarah Murnaghan’s parents had to fight tooth and nail to get their kid on a transplant list simply because she was 10 and not 12. Curiously enough, doctors weren’t the problem. They actually thought they could save the kid’s life and should proceed with the operation once her turn would come up on the list. Course, Kathleen “Obamacare is great” Sebelius *was* the problem. Sebelius didn’t want to make an exception for her and had to be ordered by a federal judge after the parents kept fighting for their kid.

Gee, it’s almost as if the whole matter spun out of control because of a bureaucrat meddling in the consultation between a patient’s family and a doctor. But I guess you don’t think that Murnaghan’s parents (or Murnaghan herself) would want Sarah to keep living.

And as I recall, a number of Democrats up for re-election next year weren’t too thrilled with the way Sebelius handled the whole thing. But hey, given her train wreck of a meeting that caused Max Baucus to decide to retire, failure is par for the course for her, huh?

  • blueniner

He thinks Palins fan base is declining, Ha ,that is laugh, she packs them in where ever she appears, her blog numbers, TV, Facebook, etc. through the roof, they are gaining not declining, wishful thinking, Sarah isnt going away anytime soon…LOL..

  • M_Baker

You will never see me use that old standard far right conservative word “hatred” that you and others who can’t find any other intelligent reply will always use as a go to reply when an intelligent reply can’t be found. “Hate”could accurately be used to define how many conservatives, and just about how all far right conservatives feel about Obama. In fact, that is how the word was actually originally brought into the current political discourse. If you haven’t noticed, it’s only the far right conservatives that even use the word “hate”.

  • M_Baker

I’m sorry to hear you can’t debate or find anything wrong with what I posted. Because I’m sure if you had an intelligent response you would have posted it. You might want to inform yourself using many new sources with various point of view so you don’t show your bias.

  • M_Baker

Check with your doctor and find out from him then if it’s not standard practice to have surgeries, expensive diagnostic procedures, and other expensive procedures approved first before he can go ahead and order it. It will only take you one quick phone call to find out that this is a standard procedure for all insurance companies.

  • Ronald Green

I don’t need to check, I already know.

  • Ronald Green

Hahahahahaa and Hahahahahahaha!!!!! Thanks, I needed that. Oh and Hhahahahahahahaaa.!!!!!

  • M_Baker

Really, look at the small groups of people she now gives speeches to since larger groups will not invite her anymore. Her most recent speech was for a group of farmers who attended a small privately held agriculture forum where it has never even been announced how many people attended her speech, and probably for a good reason. The Republican Party wouldn’t even invite her to the last Republican Convention. How often do you hear the Republicans in office even mention her name, or how little her name is now in the news. Polls, what polls even include her name in their polls, show that her unfavorable numbers are higher than her favorable numbers. Her fans have resorted to calling the polls fixed in order to find a reason why they shouldn’t be trusted, but never say how the polls have been fixed because they don’t have proof that they were.

The first half years filling results for Sarah PAC are legally required to be filled by July 31st, and we should know if her donations are still following the downward trend they have been taking for the past year or more. No doubt there should be some interesting numbers in the next report.

  • M_Baker

Hey genius, the number of fans on Facebook never takes into consideration those who have dropped her as a fan and have not dropped her or updated their site. That’s why they seem to gain and never decline. In addition, it doesn’t take into consideration those who follow her just to find out what she says on her Facebook to stay informed of her ridiculous comments, such as a news agency would do, but for personal

  • M_Baker

Hey genius, again, the most recent Sarah PAC filing for the fist 6 months of this year just came out today. Again, it shows that donations to Sarah PAC are significantly down.

In my last post to you, just below this one, I asked you to prove to me you even knew how to find the Sarah PAC filings. Since I don’t think you have a clue in how find the PAC’s filings, I decided I would be nice and tell you what came out just today since you can’t. Yep, the donations are significantly down showing how much she is losing her fan base. It looks like poor Sarah is going to have to unload some of her speech writers, consultants, and reduce her postage expenses which has always been highly suspect by people wondering if that isn’t where she is smuggling out money for herself to help keep up the lavish lifestyle she has come use to enjoying at the expense of her faithful, but delusional fans.

  • M_Baker

Palin wasn’t figuratively speaking when she was talking about “death panels”. That’s especially true when she followed it up saying the exact same thing later several times without giving any hint that she was “figuratively” speaking. You just want to believe that without any proof to back yourself up that is what she was doing.

  • M_Baker

I see you also don’t have an intelligent response so you have to resort in the way a child does by calling someone names. How mature of you.

  • blueniner

That is bogus,,Facebook numbers increasing, number one on the media grid one of the top google and yahoo entries, she still creates buzz wherever she goes. As for speechs she picks her spots, small gatherings as well as big gatherings, her venues are all different, she isnt trying for Baseball attendance, small halls, big halls. She picks causes and groups near and dear to her heart. A small High School in Washington State, asked and invited her to speak at their commencement, it was a long shot they thought, the students couldnt believe she accepted. I dont know many Politicians that humble to take the time to accept that kind of gig. Sarah is blue collar of the people, not an elitist snob. She spoke at CPAC to a full house, NRA Convention in Houston, Full house and a couple others. She could take on many more speechs if she chooses. She turns down many gigs. She turned down a shot for her own TV show recently. She has a life and a family. As for the GOP, Sarah isnt a Establishment RINO, she is a Constitutional Conservative. She has little in common with the GOP Cronies, she burned her bridges with the establishment GOP, with good purpose. Not many Politicians have the cajones to criticize their own party. She is a reformer, she wants change. The current GOP operates much like the crony crooks she fought against in Alaska, the good old boys backroom gang, it is hard to tell the difference from both parties anymore…… Sarah-pac fluctuates, when the 2014 campaign kicks off and she hits the road to stump for candidates she will pick up more donations, nothing going on now. Many donations by the folks go directly to the candiates she stumped for i.e. Ted Cruz, Deb Fischer, etc. Sarah isnt going anywhere soon, much to your chagrin, she will be an advocate for Conservative issues and causes. You would do well to ignore her, move on to something else, and dont be so concerned about what Sarah Palin is doing, chill out.

  • tops116

“How often do you hear the Republicans in office even mention her name, or how little her name is now in the news.”

I love the notion of how you keep claiming Palin is unimportant, but you’ve devoted hours talking about her. That would be so sad if it wasn’t so pathetic. You might want to try getting an outside interest or two.

  • Republicanvet

Which is what drives up cost nitwit.

  • tops116

“I’m sorry to hear you can’t debate or find anything wrong with what I posted.”

Well, there’s an ironic comment if I ever saw one.

“Because I’m sure if you had an intelligent response you would have posted it.”

    Hey, more irony.

“You might want to inform yourself using many new sources with various point of view so you don’t show your bias.”

Damn, you’re just full of irony today, aren’t ya? Well, full of something anyway.

  • tops116

“Have you noticed it’s only the far right conservatives that ever use the word “hate” to describe someone?”

Maybe so. I can’t recall too many far left liberals using the word “hate” to describe someone. These days, “racist” is their go-to word.

  • FaithColeridge33

You don’t drop hints that you are figuratively speaking.

  • FaithColeridge33

Here’s the way the statement she made looked in print(do you notice the quotation marks around death panel?):

The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my
baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death
panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of
their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of
    health care.

  • M_Baker

Give us just one lie you claim the President has made, and prove that what he said was a lie.

  • M_Baker

Let me start by asking you if you can tell us how much in donations was brought in to Sarah PAC during the last reporting period. Also, can you tell us how much donations were brought in for the whole year of 2011 and 2012. If you can answer those questions, then I know you know where to find the FEC reports for Sarah PAC, and you’ll proved that my statement is correct and not a lie you claim it to be. Truthfully, I very seriously doubt that you do know or you wouldn’t be accusing me of not knowing anything about what are in the reports. You would also know that what I wrote was truthful and not lies as you claim.

Sure people are free to donate, I never said they weren’t. I just made a factual statement that the trend in donations have been in a decline. Now prove to me that I lied if you want to continue to bury your head in the sand and not look at the facts. I don’t really care, it just shows me how purposely ignorant you make yourself.

Will be anxiously waiting for your response.

  • M_Baker

So the recent poll that found about 1/3 of the Tea Party members join the Tea Party only because they were racist doesn’t count in your mind?

  • M_Baker

You’re calling that figuratively speaking? Some of the people hear must not agree with you as well when they also understood her not to be speaking figuratively like me. Look at some of the lowers comments just below.

  • M_Baker

What sarah Murnaghan’s parents went through has nothing to do with the topic of “death panels”. It also had nothing to do with Obamacare.

  • M_Baker

I see you’re also at a loss for an intelligent reply as well. Try sticking to the topic instead of improperly using the word “ironic” as it is defined in the dictionary. Nothing I said is “ironic”.

  • M_Baker

You obviously don’t know or you wouldn’t be here telling us your doctor never gets approval from you insurance company before doing surgery or another expensive surgery.

  • M_Baker

She never does interviews outside of Fox and she only works at Fox part-time. Give me one honest interview that a reporter has done with her outside of FOX.

  • M_Baker

I’m devoted to helping her fans see her as the fraud that she really is. Either today or tomorrow, if she files her FEC report on time, we will find out if the donations to Sarah PAC are still on the decline as they have been in the past. That will give us an even more accurate accounting of her fan base, and if it is rising or falling.

  • M_Baker

The best answer if her fan base is rising or falling will be what her FEC filings show for donations to Sarah PAC. If they follow the past trend, her donations will be lower. If she files her report within the legal period, we should know by the end of this week. Wait until then before you make any more claims that her fan base is rising.

  • Ronald Green

He can’t chill when it comes to her. Just saying her name has him foaming at the mouth.. but he doesn’t “hate” her.

  • M_Baker

Insurance company’s would not do that if it drove up their cost and reduced their profit. Last time I looked insurance company’s are always trying to make money, not lose money. They do it to help keep their cost down and their profits up. Do you really think they would do that if it lowered their profits, genius?

  • M_Baker

Maybe you should look at where you get your information from first, to make sure they’re not lying to you. You can only judge if someone is lying or not by knowing the truth. In order to know your hearing the truth, you have to listen to many news sources, and not just the ones who say what you want to hear, but a variety of news sources to be able to find the truth in the middle.

  • blueniner

    Matt Lauer……..

  • blueniner

Nice try, Sarah-Pac not a barometer of fan base, or supporters, get real!

  • blueniner

LOL nice try, PDS is a disease!

Do shut up. You assume you know my situation and I can promise you… you don’t.
