Phony in chief moans about ‘phony scandals’ distracting us from what really matters [video]

President Pivot was in Galesburg, Illinois, today to deliver yet another speech extolling the many ways in which he has saved or created the American economy.

We’re not sure, but according to Obama, one thing we definitely should not do is pay any attention to the endless parade of scandals that has plagued his presidency. After all, they’re just “distractions”:

Who does this guy think he is? Jay Carney? Tweeters were rightly disgusted:

Obama’s callous remarks are veritable slaps in the faces of the memories of the four brave Americans who were slaughtered in Benghazi:

Truly shameful.

His flippant dismissal of his administration’s corruption is even more disturbing when we consider the possibility that he’s launching pre-emptive strikes against investigations into future scandals:

  • CatHerder

The real scandal is the phony in the White House.

    • The Penguin

So true oh “herder of cats”. Hmm…sounds like a Monty Python skit…carry on 😉

      • Jack Deth

“We have a rampant herd of cats in the rose garden!”

        “Oh, my!”

“Call ‘Confuse-A-Cat’!!!”…. “If that doesn’t work, we’ll use ‘The Fish Dance'”!

        • LinTaylor

Confuse-A-Cat, from the people who brought you Bewildabeast.

          • The Penguin

Also brought to you by the good folks at Spam. Now, for a limited time, we’ve included a trial size of creepy ass crackers.

          • CatHerder

Are they short-armed and Carlos Danger-ous?

          • The Penguin

            Appetite obliterated…but good one.

    • Jeremy

      hear hear.

  • World B. Free

“Phony scandals? Hold on while I get a comment from Chris Stevens.”

Or Brian Terry, or the hundreds of Mexicans who were killed by weapons from Fast & Furious.

  • Steve_J

As I posted on another site. To paraphrase Mary McCarthy; every word he utters is a lie including and and the.

    • CatHerder

He’s very sincere about “I”, though.

    • Shannon Piper

I brace for an extra special dose of bs whenever he begins with “Let me be clear”

      • TexSizzle

Who else remembers President Nixon: “Let me make one thing perfectly clear”? Or was that just the comedians pretending to imitate him, like the Fey person pretending to imitate Sarah P. with “I can see Russia from my house”?

  • dennylee60

Listening to the speech on the Michael Medved program. Talk about a room full of low information voters! They are cheering at recycling stuff from 2009 as if Obama has not been president for 4+ years and is just starting his term as president.

  • The Penguin

Wow, another blatant, classless, slap to the faces of Congress and the American people. I hope these subcommittiee Reps take it personally and step it up already.

  • Just Another Guy

A hallmark of dictatorships has been the leader droning on for hours and hours to “the people.”

And of course, just calling something a “distraction” doesn’t make it so. That’s intended as a distraction.

Sheesh….I’m longing for “President Joe Biden” …

  • Republicanvet

    Preezy Fissbump=Despicable Ass!

  • Roadster73

So if Richard Nixon had called watergate a “phony scandal” and a “distraction”, anyone here believe the NYT would have dropped the story?

  • Rabiddogg

maybe the phony scandal he is talking about is the George Zimmer/Travon Martin issue he created out of wholecloth.

    • CatHerder

      That or the YouTube video.

  • Jack Deth

“Obama says “phony scandals” have caused DC to take its eye off the
economy Said by the same guy who used the Zimmerman case as a

    Good catch, SeanD!

If these scandals are so “phony”. Why is your side of the aisle “lawyering up” before. And bleeding, screaming for a Medic and resigning after their testimonies on The Hill?

  • Aitch748

In other words, the Zimmerman thing seems to be dying down, and Obama doesn’t have something else just yet to distract the country from the consequences of his administration’s ongoing corruption and incompetence.

  • Bemani Dog

Pay no attention to the man behind the teleprompter, because squirrel.

  • Kim Pierse

The phony taped an appearance on “The View” this afternoon and shocked the audience when he admitted “the white part of me is a racist.” What is next with this guy?

    • TocksNedlog

And the black part of him is a race baiter.
It’s like having both Felix AND Oscar alive in the same body!

    • UrDumber

The human part of him is a socialist pig.

  • UrDumber

Look into my eyes America…you are only to look at the shiny balls in my speeches and nothing else. When you awake you will immediately forget about Benghazi, fast and furious, the IRS scandal and that da*n new baby in in England stealing my face time!

  • TocksNedlog

    Dear President Obama,
Perhaps if you stopped BEING a phony you would stop having so many scandals.
    Just a thought.

    • 23anniebrown45

That’s all he can ever be….. just a phony in an empty suit. Pathetic.

  • AmericanMom

Obama is a phony, a liar, a hypocrite and someone who is expert at enhancing his own personal reality.

  • Mead

“Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!!”

  • ObamaFail

The blame for those scandals must lead right to Obama. Why else would the Dems be fighting so hard to hinder the investigations, and why else would Obama go on national television and lie about how the scandals are “phony?” They are called phony by left-wing knuckledraggers because they can’t use them to hurt Republicans.

  • yourmamatoo

Does he mean the phony scandal he stared on the Zimmerman trial?

  • Michael Hensley

  • Lady_Clare

This guy knows that if he keeps repeating the “Big Lie” often enough, low-information voters will believe it. .

  • NixTyranny

Maybe King Barack will finally call slain Seal Sean Smith’s mother and tell her Benghazi is a phony scandal.

  • neoface

Obama is a definite “PHONY”. Phony is this week’s word, now all the democrap talking heads will be using it, I’m certain they got the memo, since Carney has been using it nonstop. Could it be possible that even other liberal talking head are too embarrassed to use that word? Hmmmm…

  • neoface

Come to think of it, the only thing phony is the phony outrage of Zimmerman verdict. They tried to throw all black dissatisfaction from their past on this verdict. I think the blacks like the martins need to teach their children pride, moral, and ethics, stop using past injustices as a crutch. No amount of entitlement will help them get out of their hell hole until they decide they want to. Such as do well in school, not have children out of wedlock, take responsibilities for their own lives. Obama and his likes are just enabler, they want to keep the poor down so they have victims for their talking point.

  • Magnifico

They’re phony to him, because he’s above the law. His arrogance is off the charts.

  • David

They added up the IQ of the people directly behind the president and the total was . . .

  • tops116

Phony? What degree of phony? Blaming a YouTube video for a terrorist attack, Lois Lerner pleading the 5th after revoking said right, or Eric Holder knowing nothing about a case he signed the warrant for?

  • Jeremy

Phony huh?.Yeah tell that to the families and friends of the Benghazi victims and the Tea Party Groups trashed by the I.R.S.

  • BAW

The Politician in Chief, King of Distraction accusing others of “phony” distractions, nothing new there.

  • Jeremy
  • objectivefactsmatter

The POTUS tries using “The Force” again.

  • Truth

The only things phony here are the speech and the speech maker.

  • John Galt

Maybe if he would quit moving the goal posts, we wouldn’t worry about taking our eyes off the ball.

  • Red Pill
  • Karen Dugan

If the scandals are all phony, why are IRS officials pleading the 5th? Highly doubt the families of the 4 dead men (Benghazi) think it’s a scandal. But hey, as Hillary would say, what difference does it make?
