What do James Van Der Beek, Captain America, Justin Bieber’s bodyguard and over half of NKOTB have in common?

You’ve probably guessed it by now, but they’re all critical of the latest cover of Rolling Stone that gives Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev a rock star presentation.

Captain America isn’t buying it:

Justin Bieber’s bodyguard thought it was a bad idea:

Sixty percent of “New Kids on the Block” agreed this cover of Rolling Stone don’t got it (the right stuff):

The world now eagerly awaits the opinion of former members of ‘N Sync.

  • NRPax

    Dear Rolling Stone,

When your PR department has to work overtime, odds are good that you made a bad decision.

    • Jeremy

They won’t go on softball shows on Obama loving MSNBC that tells you a lot.

  • Right Wired

Wow…even the closet socialist Chris Evans is angry.

    • Juan Pablo

I bet he won’t spread te Avengers wealth though

    • Heather_A

Chris Evans is from Massachusetts, so… Yeah. Even closet socialists have their limits.

  • Tyler M

Wow. BIGGEST. Blunder. Ever by Rolling Stone. I hope they get closed down for this!

    • Steven A

Quite the contrary, this reminded millions of Americans they still existed, and in print form no less!

  • losar1

It was messed up…but shut down and boycotted over a mistake…seriously?

    • ObamaFail

It wasn’t a mistake, it was intentional. They’re just shocked people didn’t praise them for it.

      • OpenTheDoor

Man, it’s hard to feel the peoples pulse when your fingers are arthritic.

    • Toni

You call this a mistake? Do you know what goes into the planning of just one issue of a magazine? They knew exactly what they were doing and the response they would get. They wanted this. The attention is more than they’ve gotten in years. It still makes them assholes. The whole lot of them. If I want to read about terror, I’ll by Time. If I want to read about good music I would by RS. Only they played out in the 90’s and have only gone down hill since.

    • Pat

They didn’t get up yesterday and decide to print this article. This took months of planning and placement…probably started right after the event. Very bad idea, but the hipsters at RS probably thinks it makes them look “edgy.”

    • Jeremy

They did it on purpose to be shocking and they look stupid.

    • TocksNedlog

Shut down what? What are people calling for to be ‘shut down’?

    • Fiala

A mistake? If you really believe that, you should change your user name from losar to loser.

  • tjp77

Hahahaa when you have liberal Hollywood bleeding heart pansies going for your throat right next to gun carrying conservative mega patriots, you know you must have made a serious lapse in judgement.

  • Bemani Dog

“The world now eagerly awaits the opinion of former members of ‘N Sync.”

I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for one by Justin Timberlake.

  • chetnapier

It was in bad taste to be sure but look at how many are talking about it

    • DamnCat

A lot of people talk about the IRS – doesn’t mean people like them.

  • The Masked Avatar

He’s going to get five copies for his mother.

  • The Masked Avatar

This is almost as bad when the Spin Doctors made the cover.

  • Bathing Suit Area

Why do celebrities think anyone cares about their opinions? Shut up and act/sing/do whatever it is you do, ya bunch of overpaid, uninformed good fer nuthins.

    • Bathing Suit Area

Also, I’ve never heard of any of you.

    • Finrod Felagund

      Physician, heal thyself.

    • NCRelite

when a bunch of overpaid, uninformed good fer nuthins get it right it’s noteworthy
