Double bam! Cruz, Laura Ingraham slam spineless GOP; Ingraham has idea for future surrender

Bingo. As Twitchy reported Tuesday, Senate leadership (term used very loosely) “compromised” to avoid Sen. Reid’s “nuclear option” threat. You see, silly Republicans are to confirm Obama nominees in order to find out who they are. Vetting? That’s for suckas!

Sen. Cruz, who recently shredded Sen. Reid over Obamacare with one tweet, called it like it is:

Laura Ingraham, always a fierce fighter, also took the GOP to task.

And she offered up a simple idea for future spineless Republican surrender:

Double bam.

Out: Meetings. In: Tweet-caving.

Sen. Ted Cruz: Today Republicans preserved their right to surrender in the future

Sen. Reid: Confirm Obama nominees to find out who they are (Bonus: Promises to resign?)

Truth ache! Sen. Reid: Obamacare ‘wonderful for America’; Ted Cruz shreds with one question

Laura Ingraham slams media’s Jeantel ‘fascination’ (Bonus scoop: She’s considering presidential run?)

Once again, the Republican “leadership” folded like a cheap tent. These guys don’t give a damn about this country, only moves that will increase their power. We need to send their butts home in 2014.

  • yourmamatoo

Paul/ Cruz , is the only hope.

    • JJ357

At the moment, that is what I think as well.

    • Red Fred

Trey Gowdy looks pretty good too.

      • petitefight

thought so until I heard he’s working on “immigration” laws IN PRIVATE??????? we need to ask more questions

        • Lady 12

WHAAAAT? NOOOOOO! What is it about this immigration thing that just destroys Republicans?

        • lainer51

I hope not… He is my last hope. He zings them every chance he gets at the IRS hearings.

    • Lady 12

Heck no, not Paul. Allan West.

      • yourmamatoo

I think Paul would have a better chance.
        Though Allan West is awesome.
I would love to see him as the head of the DOJ.

If the original conservatives of our country rolled over as often as the current crop, we’d all be playing cricket right now.

    • TexSizzle

It’s not the conservatives rolling over, it’s the Republicans who care more about the So-Called Unbiased Media (SCUM) liking them than they care about doing what’s right.

  • nc

The Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight hits yet another bullseye.

It doesn’t hurt that McCain et al is so accommodating. Gag.

  • Fire and Adjust!

Sheeesh………. The Senate Republicans took Eric Holder’s proclomation of “Duty to Retreat” a little too seriously didn’t they?

    • Thale Taxurfeet

“The Senate Republicans took Eric Holder’s proclomation of “Duty to Retreat” a little too seriously didn’t they?”

From where do you think Holder came up with that duty to retreat notion?

      • Fire and Adjust!

Well, I initially thought Holder reconsidered the utility of having people vomit and defecate all over the place as a defense mechanism because he came to believe it could open the door to racists running around vomiting and defecating on people in order to spread diseases……………. so he decided that victims should just run away…………… but now I see you may have a point to your idea……

        • Thale Taxurfeet

“but now I see you may have a point to your idea…”

          Heh. Thanks.

    To quote Ronald Reagan:

“I didn’t leave my party. My party left me!”

  • stuckinIL4now

Why do we even send them to DC? Doesn’t that cost taxpayers money?

  • Joe W.

Thank God I live in the Republic of Texas. We will be self sufficient, prosperous, and traditionally conservative after the United States collapses. Y’all voted for this crap….Y’all own it.

    • rinodino

After the US collapses????…..Watching too many “LIBERAL” Hollywood movies again?

  • Steve_J

Just proves just proves those rolling over for the dems don’t want the responsibility of governing and only want the perks of office and whatever few crumbs the dems will toss their way for being good little toadies.

  • rambler

Why does the GOP even bother to go through the motions of being a second party? They have surrendered on so many things that they should just be honest and become dems. None of these elected officials care about anything except their own reelection.

  • Billie Slash

You folks in Kentucky have your work cut out for you in 2014—get rid of McConnell!

  • NixTyranny

I would disagree with Laura that “conserv’s capitulated.” Those who did were RINO Repubs, some of whom merely wear Conserv’s clothing at times.

I think my heart would actually attack me if the Republicans in Congress actually stood together on something, ANYTHING. Being a Republican these days means always having to say you’re sorry.

  • CrashFroelich

This is why the GOP won’t see another dime from until Priebus is gone and they start supporting Tea Party candidates.

  • BeeKaaay

Both major parties have been taken over by Marxists. That’s why we have a one party system in DC.

    Political class versus ordinary humans.

  • Beau Toxx

The Dumb Party falls for this Progressive/Marxist trick time and again. The Progressive/Marxists want “A” so they threaten to do “B”. The Dumb Party negotiates for less “B” in return for giving more “A”. The Progressive/Marxists get some or all of “A” and the Dumb Party gets nothing — Rolled. Negotiations 101 calls this the Red Herring technique. This is how a conservative nation ends up controlled by liberal laws. When the Progressive/Marxists want “A” and threathen to do “B” to get it, the Dumb Party needs to counter with threatening to do “C” and take “A” off the table.

Mr. Cantor is going to be surprised when I don’t show up to vote for him again. No, I won’t vote for his opponent, but I won’t vote for him either.

    • TexSizzle

You need to vote for his primary opponent, if any.

  • Hiraghm

If the Democrats would stop being such gutter trash parasite-panderers, the country might have more success.

  • Clayton Grant

If the GOP went along with all liberal social policies, they would be Democrats.

  • rinodino

It’s not even the GOP, as the GOP is actually more moderate to social issues, it’s the fact that they give way too much attention to the Fringe’s platform which is ANTI EVERYTHING that scares them, which of course holds the GOP back from being a true national party as we move deeper and deeper into this century.

  • Oldmonkey

That would only depend on the details. If they took a Liberation mid Right with open brain approach it would work. Look at Whole Food’s John Mackey and the jobs he’s created. Smaller Gubberment, less taxes, everyone minding their own business INCLUDING Gubberment! The Constitution is necessarily one of negative liberties to government. The 9th &10th Amendments truly are the wings ensuring liberty. The 9th Amendment should be looked at seriously as a means to get government out of the abortion & marriage business
