‘Global warming. Drink!’ Syfy’s ‘Sharknado’ causes outbreak of sloshed viewers

Yesterday Twitchy asked, “Will Al Gore blame Sharknados on global warming?” That remains to be seen, but Syfy’s “Sharknado” took care of it for the Goracle.

Of course it is! But is the entertainment industry slipping?

16 minutes? Do you know how many polar bears are killed by global warming every 16 minutes? Time’s a wastin’!

There may be some hangovers in the conservative Twitterverse this morning:

Hey, there’s always “Frankenfish.”

I was gonna leave a ‘sharky’ comment but I can’t think of anything ‘sharkastic’ enough.

That was the best night on Twitter EV-AH! Everyone was in on it. Pity I don’t have cable and could only find Syfy on the internet in Spanish.

It would have been hilarious, if at the end, Al Gore wakes up and Sharknado turns out to have been a nightmare.

Would it be like end of that one season of Dallas?

I was thinking of Bob Newhart, when he woke up in bed with Suzanne Pleshette and told her he had a dream about running a B&B in Vermont.

OMG that was the funniest finale EVER!!!!!!! Brilliantly done! Thanks for reminding me what good television USED to be like.

  • tops116

A sharknado sounds less crazy than people blaming global warming for it getting warmer in July or for it snowing in December.

Hell, this seems more plausible than most of the crap the AGW true believers try to pawn off on us on a daily basis…

    Thakn GOD I was watching “Hell’s Kitchen #ChefGordonRamsey instead last night… Oh, well… #Drink anyways… XD Jawamax 8<{D}

This movie will be followed quickly with a sequel, “Suenami: The Legal Wave.” In this movie lawyers sue the industrial age for compensation over all of the trouble it caused.

  • SpaceRacer423

I have to hand it to #Sharknado, its science is as accurate as Al Gore’s.

  • Margaret Manzi

Now I feel sorry for sharks.

I can hear Obama addressing congress now: “We must pass my ban on coal to keep these M-F’ing Sharks out of these M-F’ing tornados!” — standing ovation, cut to credits.

Only global warming could have caused storms to magically appear and disappear as they did throughout the film. Yes, I watched it.

Sounds almost as bad as that syfi “Ice Twister” movie.

Damn, and I was going to wait for the DVD. Spoilers, people!

First, there was ManBearPig. Now, there is Sharknado.

I own a copy of that one on DVD. No really… I like bad movies.

Still hunting for a copy of:

Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return
of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien,
Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead Part 2 in Shocking 2-D

    Also hunting for:

The Guyver, RollerBlade (not RollerBall) and Deathstalker (I not II, TWO that one was too campy to be worth it).

And I can’t recall the Kung-Fu movie I watched once… I thought it was “Monkey Kung Fu” but that wasn’t it. Depressingly may never get to see that one again.

In college my roommates decided I was no longer allowed to go to the movie rental store without “adult supervision”.

Global warming (drink) aside, how is it that a Ford truck or any vehicle for that matter cannot withstand a tornado but sharks can?

  • The Penguin

All kidding aside. What percentage of libs do you think believe it could happen? Should do a poll. I bet the number would be surprising…or not actually.
