Sarah Palin: John Kerry’s yacht cover-up worse than the ‘crime’

The photo of John Kerry climbing on to his yacht in Nantucket pretty much settled the question of whether Kerry was on his yacht in Nantucket this holiday while Egypt erupted into chaos. The State Department, which originally denied that Kerry was out sailing, finally corrected the record, saying the Secretary of State was on the yacht “briefly” on Wednesday. Fox News’ Brit Hume wondered if that admission would have happened at all without photographic proof, while others wondered why the State Department would lie over such a seemingly minor detail.

Sarah Palin called out Kerry for his “crime” in a lengthy Facebook post. The whole thing is worth reading, but her concern is the cover-up — something that comes a little too easily to the Obama administration.

The State Department categorically denied Kerry was on his boat. Yet CBS had pictures to prove it. Goodness. There is no need to lie, even on such a “little” thing as the location of a government leader during a military confrontation happening in real time. (Benghazi? Ring a bell? There still isn’t anyone in the media who’ll find out where our Commander-in-Chief was that night.) Come on, Obama Administration! It’s no big darn deal that Kerry was on his boat! We expect, and deserve, to assume that our highest ranking public servants to whom We the People have given the most responsibility are always working – even when they’re clearing their heads and breathing in some fresh air on a yacht, or sweating away stress on a basketball court, or yukking it up with pals on the fairway… let’s trust they’re always preparing for the proverbial 3:00 AM phone call.

Being on his boat isn’t the issue. Blatantly deceiving the American people is the issue.

As usual, Palin haters were anxious to express their outrage over Palin continuing to speak; if they were concerned about being lied to, they didn’t show it.

Certainly Joan Walsh could agree that the State Department’s pattern of outright lying is troublesome, right?

I love watching the left get scared of Sarah Palin. They look like Tom whenever Jerry threatens to wake up Spike during his nap.

    • Dutra

Kerry’s on-again, off-again yacht swap was his very own version of “swift boating”.

      • Finrod Felagund

Am I the only one (well, besides Moe Lane) thinking that we were much better off with John Kerry off on his yacht while this was all going down, where he couldn’t do anything to mess it up?

Joan , Sarah Palin served 32 out of 48 months the same percentage that Obama served of his Senate term (not including the two-year break he spent campaigning) and accomplished everything she set out to do in that time.

After Sarah Palin accepted John McCain’s offer to run for vice president and became the left’s (media) most attacked and vilified person she returned to Alaska to find a never-ending assault of frivolous ethics complaints paralyzing her ability to govern the state.

She resigned because she recognized the cost that the frivolous ethics complaints were having on her state , and she saw how much of her staff’s time and her own time were forced to deal with those issues.

That entire campaign of BS lawsuits was meant to do nothing but hamstring the governor’s office and bankrupt Sarah Palin.

She saw that if she stayed on as Governor it would continue to cost the state millions of dollars in wasted time and resources to defend against false and maliciously ethics complaints and doom it to gridlock.

Those frivolous lawsuits had already cost the state of AK close to $2 million; Sarah Palin had over $500,000 dollars in legal fees.

    http://articles.ktuu.com/2009-07-09/ethics-complaints_24126005

These lawsuits were filed by activists whose goal was to bog down her administration with lawsuits and paperworks & to bankrupt her middle class family. Sarah Palin was responsible for her own legal fees due to the ethic laws at the time. She & her staff were spending 80% of their time defending lawsuits & dealing with FOIA requests. No sooner would one lawsuit go away then another was filed.

Sarah Palin knew that for the sake of her state it would be best if she stepped aside from the governorship. She resigned so the state could move forward.

In an article Sarah Palin said:

“I said, ‘Enough. Political adversaries and their political friends in the media will not destroy my State, my administration, nor my family. Enough.’ I knew if I didn’t play their game any longer, they could not win. I would not retreat, I would instead reload, and I would fight for what is right from a different plane.”

She promised to keep the frivolous anti-Palin law suits away from the Alaskan people and to be more effective on the stump ( supporting candidates , fundraising, etc)

Sarah Palin was truthful on both accounts.

She was the catalyst for the takeover of the House , twice as many Governships and lopsided Gop Statehouses with her endorsements and rallies all over the country during the 2010 election.

Sarah Palin also had a very strong hand in the party’s few successes during the 2012 election.

    • jjjj68

she sold out plain and simple…

      • RUexperienced

        You are correct.

The State of Alaska reported that Palin received a $1.25 million check weeks before quitting. The money was a small advance on her multi million dollar book deal.

Bully for her making lots of money. But shame on her for quitting her job as governor to do it.

        • Timbet

If she had stayed in office what do you think it would have cost the state in time and money. Plus, how much actual governing would she have been able to accomplish?

No sooner would one lawsuit go away then another was filed.
The ethics complaint investigations had cost Alaskans $2+ million At that rate, these systematic complaints would have cost Alaskans $8 million by the end of her term.
          http://articles.ktuu.com/2009-07-09/ethics-complaints_24126005

When she resigned as Governor, she was labeled a quitter. I assure you that if she hadn’t resigned, she would have been painted by many as a self-centered hypocrite who didn’t care about Alaska.

They would have argued that she prioritized the preservation of her political future over the fact that frivolous ethics charges against her were draining the resources of the governor’s office.

Sarah Palin promised to keep the frivolous anti-Palin law suits away from the Alaskan people and to be more effective on the stump ( supporting candidates , fundraising, etc)

Sarah Palin was truthful on both accounts!

There are two facts you are ignoring.

1- At the time of Sarah Palin’s resignation ALL of the ethics complaints had been resolved. How do we know that? Because Sarah Palin stated that in her resignation speech: “All of the ethics investigations are OVER. We won them ALL.”

2- Every Republican governor is getting politically motivated lawsuits. Scott Walker stood and fought them all the way to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. My governor Rick Snyder is being sued by the UAW, the teachers union and even Al Sharpton. The lawsuits are costing Michigan a LOT of money, as they are costing Wisconsin money.

But Rick Snyder is not quitting like Sarah Palin did. And neither is Scott Walker.

          • Timbet

As usual, you have your facts wrong.

            1. The complaints had been “resolved” on what was filed. After her resignation three more complaints were filed. At that rate, these systematic complaints would have cost Alaskans $8 million by the end of her term; if she didn’t resigned her political opponents would file many more complaints. After all that entire campaign of BS lawsuits was meant to do nothing but hamstring the governor’s office and bankrupt Sarah Palin.

            2. Sarah Palin was responsible for her own legal fees due to the ethic laws at the time. Palin accumulated almost $500,000 in legal bills. At that rate, these systematic complaints would have cost Sarah Palin $2 million by the end of her term. No sooner would one lawsuit go away then another was filed.

            3. She saw that if she stayed on as Governor it would continue to cost the state millions of dollars in wasted time and resources to defend against false and maliciously ethics complaints and doom it to gridlock.

In an article Sarah Palin said:

“I said, ‘Enough. Political adversaries and their political friends in the media will not destroy my State, my administration, nor my family. • RUexperienced

1- You are making a bigger deal about the ethics charges than what they were in reality. Yes, they were frivolous. Most all of them, if not all of them, were overcome. Yes, they cost the State of Alaska money, just like the frivolous lawsuits in MIchigan by the UAW, the teachers union and Al Sharpton costs the State of Michigan. But Rick Snyder is not quitting like Palin did. Is it your contention that every Republican governor should quit like Palin when faced with politically motivated lawsuits by democrats? Who would be left?

2- The Republican National Committee paid half of Palin’s $500,000 legal bills. And her legal defense fund, which still collects money to this day, contributed an undisclosed amount of money to the other half.

3- Palin did not quit to save money for the State of Alaska. Palin quit to make money herself. She had just received a $1.25 million down payment on her multi million dollar book deal. And within months she would be doing her reality show making a cool million per episode. The bottom line is that she cashed out.

          • Timbet

            3. Sarah Palin & her staff were spending 80% of their time defending lawsuits & dealing with FOIA requests… that take an enormous amount of time to process… instead of doing the job she was elected to do. She resigned because of time and financial burden of a litany of ethics complaints. The complaints were without merit and took away from the job she wanted to do for Alaskans. Sarah Palin knew that for the sake of her state it would be best if she stepped aside from the governorship.

She resigned so the state could move forward.

The 11th Commandment was for a time when all sides still had a measure of intellectual honesty … not to give “our guys” a pass that leaves us with weak candidates in the face of Progressive intellectual dishonesty.

          • https://www.facebook.com/ritchietheriveter Ritchie The Riveter

That was NO guarantee that the lawsuits would be stopped, even after resignation … remember the big, huge investigation of her e-mails that found NOTHING?

It isn’t just about finding evidence … it is about harassment in the hopes that her performance will suffer, so they can make political hay with that … and about smearing her good name again and again and again in sound-byte politics.

We’ve seen this story before … and since. Lawfare (by one Barack H. Obama, among others) is what opened the doors to sub-prime lending … and what has kept projects like Keystone XL from moving forward.

Yes, nearly all of the Republican governors and their states are getting sued.

Gov Jan Brewer and Arizon have been in lawsuits over immigration.

In Michigan, my Republican governor is getting sued by the UAW, the teachers union and even Al Shapton. And this summer, when the governor takes necessary legal action regarding Detroit’s insolvency, he and the State of Michigan will get sued all over again.

I don’t know if he pays any of his legal costs. But I do know that he has not signed a $7 to $10 million book deal while in office like Palin did.

“And Palin established a legal fund that contributed an untold amount towards the other half. You knew that, right?”

If I’m not mistaken, the original fund was forced to cease by a lawsuit.

She is not helping our side when she suggests primarying Tea Party candidates in purple states. And it is not a fair match up when Palin takes pot shots at our people from behind FOX News cameras or on Facebook where she avoids challenges. Every mean thing she has said about Santorum, Herm Cain, Rick Perry, Marco Rubio or Kelly Ayotte has been far away from anyone who could challenge her on her past dealings or past positions (amnesty is a good example)

Regarding the legal bills, maybe she shoul be thankful that she got half of her bill paid by the Republicans. I have never heard a word of gratitude from her regarding the fact that the RNC/”GOPe” paid $258,000 of her legal bills.

The first fund was closed by a judge (unfairly imo0. But she immediately set up another one and continued taking money. It is still active today. Only Palin knows how much she has collected through it.

Yep, you are mired in the conventional wisdom of last century’s politics. Your first sentence tells me that.

Replacing Tweedledumber with Tweedledumb does not get the job done, as we are seeing right now with immigration policy.

That is what you are advocating … for if they will not stand up for liberty over politics, they NEED to be primaried, even if a Dem ends up winning the seat. Let them get blamed for the inevitable crash that results.

We are going to need strong, uncompromised, principled voices that have a history of putting liberty over politics, to lead people out of the ruins of that crash.

We have tried it “your” way … and it isn’t working.

Again you are treading in unsafe waters. Your argument points yet again to the overreaching unconstitutional Thuggeryship.

States are attempting to protect property and their respective citizens. PArticular to in AZ “beheadings” drug cartels infestation and an illegal invasion.

Now when a GOVERNMENT decides to SUE and thwart a states right. The explicit right to protect their border, their property, and their American Citizens.

The government that chooses to favor foreign nationals in violation of federal laws and once here, in violation of local laws in place for peace and security of the citizenry.

When the Federal government picks and chooses which laws to adhere to?

Stoppin our border patrol from their mission. Releasing those caught especially those that are known criminals.

Jailing teens who ranted after being egged on about a video game, with no trail. Suspending kindergarteners for candy and teeny tiny plastic toys and drawings. Drone killing a teen whose acquaintance that drew his attention, was his FATHER?

When the Federal government uses Federal agencies to harass, spy on, exploit, threaten, and and deny American citizens their explicit rights to privacy and fair treatment.
When the federal government owns and/or uses media for its propaganda.
Then directly assails an opposing media outlet sending their lizard lady to speak out and demand other media outlets ignore any of the reports not repeat anything reported by them.

As they tell us what we see with our own eyes is NOT TRUE!

Whoa just when does any of that scare the fanatics on the left. What is next PUBLIC be head ings?

So yeah..I leave you with food for thought. I have laundry, a kid to pick and dinner calling.

None of them had the avalanche of “interest” directed at Ms. Palin, nor did they have to deal with AK ethics laws which put a lot of the defense on her personally to pay for.

          • BAW

I don’t know about other states but in Texas filing a frivolous ethics complaint can carry some serious civil even criminal repercussions.

I don’t know the exact law today but when I filed an ethics complaint, which was not frivolous, back in the 90s, the possibility that it could be held frivolous was enough to give me pause.

As I recall the fine could have been $10,000, probably plus attorney fees, and they usually throw in something like “any other sanction permitted by law” so if you aren’t absolutely sure you have a legitimate complaint, it’s pretty dumb to do it.

So, it’s not an issue for Rick Perry.

I hope Alaska has done something about their law so it can never happen there again.

            According to Rasmussen:

In general, the higher a Republican voter’s income level and educational achievement, the more likely he or she is to think Palin’s decision to resign will hurt her bid for the GOP nomination.

In other words, people are still stuck in the conventional wisdom of the last century, when it comes to politics.

And just because it might “hurt” her, does NOT mean that they refuse to support her.

        • anAmericanMom

Hey can we talk about Michele’s Job “CREATED” for her and then dissolved when she moved on up.

The one where she wheelchaired the ill out into the cold sending them to FREE clinics. That was her creation to cut costs. LOL

A hospital paying HER to throw the poor sick out into the cold.

          Can we please?

Wait a minute what about Jarret the SLUM lady? Please, lets play!

          • RUexperienced

You are correct about Michelle Obama’s phony job…. and probably right about Valerie Jerret being a slum lord.

WHat does that have to do with Palin quitting her job as governor to make money?

          • Timbet

Sarah Palin didn’t resign ” to make money” .

She resigned because she recognized the cost that the frivolous ethics complaints were having on her state , and she saw how much of her staff’s time and her own time were forced to deal with those issues.

          • RUexperienced

You, and less than 1 percent of the nation believe that.

          • American_by_Choice

            LOL!

What POSSIBLE relevance can there be in: ‘most people believe’ something, in terms of whether or not that ‘something’ is true?

(This is a learning opportunity, try to resist your natural urge to miss it)

          • RUexperienced

The fact is that Palin quit her job as governor after negotiating a multi million dollar book deal and receiving a $1.25 million check as a down payment.

Palin quit her job as governor weeks after writing an email to her aide: “I HATE THIS D&MN JOB!!!!”

It’s not too hard to figure it out, is it?

          • American_by_Choice

            LOL!

So you’re saying that because Palin signed a book deal and resigned, this is proof that she resigned ‘BECAUSE she signed a book deal’, further claiming that ‘it’s not hard to figure out’.

Huh… Let’s set that aside for a moment and return to the question:

“What POSSIBLE relevance can there be in: ‘most people believe’ something, in terms of whether or not that ‘something’ is true?”

Now, clearly you chose to ignore that, which is a shame, given that HAD you taken the time to consider it, you would have had a CHANCE to NOT have AGAIN humiliated yourself with your most recent ‘colossal leap in reasoning’.

Understand scamp: THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT BELIEVE SOMETHING AND THE POTENTIAL VALIDITY OF THAT ‘SOMETHING’.

Also… there is no correlation between a person receiving a deal to write a book and their resigning from their elected office as Chief Executive.

Ya see, one can actually write a book and perform the tasks common to the duties of a Chief Executive.

Now… one CAN resign for any reason, not the least of which is that one’s presence in that job is becoming a detriment to the duties at hand.

But unlike your reasoning, THAT CIRCUMSTANCE actually IS a valid reason for doing so.

            Anything gettin’ through here?

          • RUexperienced

1- And, technically, there is no correlation between events of when a person wins the lottery and quits their job. Is that the argument you are making? Palin inks a $7 million to $10 million book deal and cashes the first check for $1.25 million. ….then she “happens to quit.” Yeah. right.

2- One of the biggest beliefs about Palin is that she is a quitter. If she ever were to aspire to higher office, the very fist question she would get in interviews is, “Why did you quit?” She would criticize other candidates in debates for not doing a good job as governor. All they have to say is this- “But you quit when the tough got going.” All of her answers would as successful as Al Gore trying to convince people that he never meant that he invented the internet.

          • American_by_Choice

“1- And, technically, there is no correlation between events of when a person wins the lottery and quits their job. Is that the argument you are making? Oh my…

Ok, you seem to be trying and that wold seem to justify the effort.

One takes employment as a means to sustain one’s needs.

Therefore, where one receives a massive windfall, the ‘needs’ issues are settled, stripping the purpose of the job.

Elected office is NOT an endeavor one takes as a means to sustain one’s needs. THE PURPOSES there are wholly distinct… Palin’s stated purpose for seeking elected office was to fix the effects of the standing political machine in Alaska. Which she did, to the extent that she was able.

When her presence became a hindrance to those goals, she resigned the position, leaving in her stead, the team she assembled which continued in her absence toward the same goal…

            See the difference?

          • Timbet

            “Why did you quit?”
            ————

• https://www.facebook.com/ritchietheriveter Ritchie The Riveter

She quit because the laws of the State of Alaska allowed nuisance lawsuits against her and her office on a mass scale … and apparently, the AK legislature was just fine with that.

For the sake of her family, and her state, she got out after she did all she could in that position. Your evidence to the contrary is highly questionable, to say the least. Fortunately for us, she was able to find other ways to carry on the fight … but in all probability, those ways are not ways that you approve of as “proper” politics, so your response is cynicism.

The entire “quitter” narrative is another example of the simplistic-sound-byte / low-information-voter politics that is poisoning this nation. If we are to remain free, we had better start taking the time to look past the sound-bytes and THINK, instead of playing by the same old rules that got us in this mess.

          • RUexperienced

the AK legislature was just fine with that

Apparently Governor Palin was just fine with that also. The ethics legislation with that loophole in it was the one she pushed through the legislature and the one she herself signed into law.

            “”I HATE THIS D&MN JOB!!!!”‘
            ————
That is a claim from Sarah Palin hater Bailey and not a fact.

Bailey is a disgruntled former employee; Sarah Palin suspended Bailey and refused to hire Bailey when he sought a position on her vice presidential campaign staff and later with SarahPAC.

Mr. Bailey has an axe to grind and abandoned truth in his book…The book belongs on fiction shelves.

Bailey chose an anti-Palin writer and a “critic” of Sarah Palin to help pen the text.

A man by the name of Ken Morris, is a known leftist who has a history of pulling obsessive stunts directed towards Sarah Palin, and that the other writer, Jeanne Devon, is a legend in the Alaskan left-wing blogoshpere for her unhinged, freakish behavior aimed at hurting Sarah Palin.

These aren’t just people who disagree with her politics. These are people who have spent a lot of time, money, and integrity trying to damage Sarah Palin.

Think about it BREAD crumbs or a viable living?

Federal overemployment from bloated agencies make up a big percentage again, on both sides. They fear those agencies will be ended.

The rest with the POWER on BOTH sides have so much invested in the “business of DIVISION”, they cannot afford to see America do anything but remain frothing rabid attack animals in both “THEIR” corners.

            Wake up Moderate America.

To fix this country the answer is not Hillary or the GOP.

*Hillary and *Sarah are important figures and voices! As is *Dr. Paul.

All three are highly public and well known PERSONALITIES Perfect examples of what goes wrong when MONEY, Media and BOTH parties make the decisions for all of us peons

We need a MAJOR restructure. We need Valid ID and polling evidence at the time of the vote that is who is supposed to be voting. NO early and often Voting schemes. Can’t make it to the polls? Verified as banks do, thumbprint evidence of a valid absentee ballot, mailed or handed into the the respective town clerk. PUBLIC funds only in all political campaigns.

We all want to know that the “WINNER” our solution, won fair and square.

Close down the real loopholes and threats to this country, Division and GREED. A united and functioning together citizenry can create harmony fairness and opportunity!

The middle of the road common ground PATH will bring us out of this mess.

We have bright people who may not agree on everything, “”as it should be””.
We are not of ONE mind!

We all can agree on “real solutions”, not illusions and unfundable schemes.

Who could still be against fair elections and ending the gravy train that divides us all!

How much does it cost to KEEP michelle and her lavish lap of luxury!

Sarah Palin resigned so the state could move forward.

No sooner would one lawsuit go away then another was filed. The ethics complaint investigations had cost Alaskans $2+ million At that rate, these systematic complaints would have cost Alaskans $8 million by the end of her term.

Yeah, I would like her to debate Dick Cheney and complain to him that her job was ‘too hard’ because of one year of frivolous legal actions taken against her.

Then Cheney could detail all of the lawsuits against him and GWB over 8 years regarding the war on terror, gitmo, “torture,” and Lord knows what else.

          • American_by_Choice

Could ya site a single of these lawsuits?

Having sovereign immunity — and a big staff of lawyers to utilize in their defense – made their job a little easier, in this regard … that, and a GOP Establishment that viewed them as colleagues and not a threat to their perks, position, and power because she refuses to be controlled by them.

I have a lot of respect for Mr. Bush and Mr Cheney, but that does not make either one infallible … or free from the political conventional wisdom of the last century, that has not served us well in recent years.

Oh, well yes… It IS harder to get people to donate to groups, when their donations may or may not be deductible, particularly when the Federal Government is declaring the group or ‘persons’ involved in such to be DANGEROUS EXTREMISTS.

Oh sure, we know NOW that such a government lacks any sense of credibility, due to their own subjective, criminal nature… but at the time, the election fraud was ‘under the radar’ and ‘behind the scene’.

Troll: a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by trying to start arguments and upset people. They may do this by posting deliberately inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. Typically ‘trolling’ is indicative of intellectual deficiency, presenting through the sufferer’s need to post homo-erotic porn onto inappropriate forums and their having voted for Muslim-Marxists in the midsts of catastrophic failure of Socialist Policy and a war with a fair percentage of Islam, indicating their hatred of Mommy and the responsibilities inherent in free sovereignty.

Obama is an Insurgent. His purpose is to abuse the office of the President as a means to undermine the faith and trust of the US Citizenry in their Government.

This is the longstanding purpose of the Communist insurgency in the US, which FTR: was precisely what Joe McCarthy noted a few generations BACK.

Now NONE of Obama’s actions, from the appointments he has made, to the policies for which he has advocated make ANY SENSE, except where the above reasoning enters into the equation. At which point they serve reason PERFECTLY!

They see her as a direct threat to their whole sense of worth, as members of the Cult of the Credentialed and Connected Omniscient, were she to gain credibility in the eyes of more and more people.

She doesn’t “talk right’, didn’t go to the “right schools”, does not support the Progressive Narrative, and does not subordinate her mind to ANYONE, Left or Right, let alone the allegedly Best and Brightest who are the objects of worship in said Cult.

Credibility on her part diminishes the perceived worth of all that “right” stuff and one’s place in the Progressive pecking order, and Progressives do NOT like having their mellow harshed about their choices in life.

Therefore she must be diminished By. Any. Means. Necessary.

And that lack of subordination, is why the GOP Establishment hates her … the more credibility she gains, the greater the threat to their nice little racket of getting their positions from us and the scraps from the Progressive table, in a manner reminiscent of the scheming Scot nobles in Braveheart.

  • Exodus2011

it’s instructive to compare the last two election cycles and evaluate Gov Sarah Palin’s amazing influence …

Look at what Conservative America did under the leadership of Palin and the Tea Party (with Steele/RNC fully on board), during 2010 Midterms —> swathe of new Conservative Governors, Conservative Landslide in HOR and huge gains in Senate. This was with the hated Obamacare recently rammed through …

Contrast 2012, led by Rove and the RINO GOP Establishment = EPIC FAIL … their Senate Candidates going down … their RINO ‘obama-lite’ ticket crashing and burning … against a known marxist …

the hated Obamacare was not even a tabled issue … which had to happen because Romneycare was the father of Obamacare

Conservative America now understands how bad the leadership in the GOPe really is …

The scene is set for 2014 to become 2010 on STEROIDS now, with TRUSTED Leadership (Palin, Cruz, Demint) operating via new and social Media …. the RINO RNC will be the enemy in judiciously chosen GOP Primaries

All those Conservatives who sat sidelined watching the 2012 debacle will be ACTIVATED once the Real Deal engages in high gear …. 2010 will appear as ‘low
gear’ in comparison …… especially so as Obamacare advancing is more and more seen as a DEBACLE

    ” a failed vp candidate”
    ——-
McCain was top of the ticket; not Sarah Palin

Anyway,Sarah Palin was the only thing that kept McCain competitive. When she was brought on board, the enthusiasm immediately changed.

Where McCain had struggled to fill an arena, lines outside events featuring Palin seemed miles long.

Polls show a sustained 6 point bump for the campaign, one that put them ahead of Obama for the first time, right after Sarah was chosen, and gave her masterful speech at the Republican convention.

McCain would maintain this lead until the financial meltdown, and he decided to suspend his campaign to head off to Washington without a real plan of action. It was a fatal mistake and one a smart campaign manager would have advised against, but we’re talking Steve Schmidt here, so smarts don’t enter into the equation.

In Pew’s exit poll in 2008, voters who said Palin was a factor in their vote went for McCain by a 56-43 margin!

Sarah Palin energized the Party, and carried Senator McCain farther than he could have possibly gone without her.

Schmidt mismanaged the McCain 2008 presidential campaign by advicing McCain to suspend the campaign during the financial crisis and then tried to rewrite history afterward in order to falsely blame Sarah Palin for McCain’s loss.

Steve Schmidt was able to scapegoat Sarah Palin for his own disastrous ineptitude despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. That was because the media hated Palin and her popularity was perceived as a threat to their Party.

Foreign policy so BAD that protesters in the Middle East have a US President’s name on their banners, so disrespected world wide that he is a laughingstock, as are we for allowing this to continue. Sarah Palin also had a very strong hand in the party’s few successes during this election . Sarah Palin campaigned for constitutional conservatives llike Ted Cruz, Deb Fischer, Paul Gosar, resulting in 5 conservatives being elected to the Senate and 32 conservatives to the House.

Sarah Palin has offered many statements on issues such as health care, the Federal Reserve’s money printing in funding our federal deficit, Crony Capitalism, energy independence, foreign policy, etc)

She was the first Republican to make a high-profile critique of the Federal Reserve’s quantitative easing, though even earlier she had marked the collapsing value of the dollar as one of her issues.

She has repeatedly been a leading voice—via television appearances and speaking engagements—against the dangers of ObamaCare and the risks of President Obama’s approach to energy.

Sarah Palin worked tirelessly to forward the commonsense conservative agenda she had always articulated and campaigned with and for those she believed best represented the values she believes are needed in government.

And she continues her work to help put government back on the side of the people.

We didn’t. Establicans prefer open primaries, so they can get Democrats elected.

  • bluewaternavy

You know very little, don’t you? Many state have the open primary system-anyone can vote for any candidate regardless of political affiliation.

Given the slew of scandals we’ve seen from the 2012 election, I’d say that even in 2008 many dems voted for McCreep a few times during the primaries

  • Brad Harvey

Easy. She was smart enough not to try a run against Barack Kardashian, Lord of the Foolish.

  • anAmericanMom

Billy bob? Care to share what you do or produce for living, just curious?

I am attempting to put together a public poll of the employment or business base of present day Democrat supporters.
Which by the way if I remember correctly seeing a poll or two.
State a large percentage of tenured Professors proclaim admiration for Obama.
So is it Obama ? Because it could not be the plight of the People alleged millions strong support because they are millions strong in Poverty.
And “no banks were harmed”, while in the production!

As to those professors? THEY should be pushing for State Universities to be free to attend, at least I would be asking that, if I were a liberal, not a leftist petri dish baci.

  • https://www.facebook.com/ritchietheriveter Ritchie The Riveter

Can you say, strategic move? She can do more where she’s at right now … for the American people are not questioning the conventional wisdom enough yet, to truly appreciate her message.

  • Timbet

Sarah Palin never claimed she was running; so when people read into something more than is there, you blame her?

  • constitutionminded

She never claimed to be a candidate. She helped Tea Party people run for office. Sure she has “Fire in the belly”. She loves this country, not the lousy Govt that runs it, same as us. Your diaper is still full.

  • Timbet

In Pew’s exit poll in 2008, voters who said Palin was a factor in their vote went for McCain by a 56-43 margin!

Anyway, soon after Palin entered the national political scene as Arizona Sen. John McCain’s GOP running mate, she was attacked as a diva, a clothes hog, an irresponsible mother and a political mercenary. They dismissed what she achieved as mayor of her hometown, commissioner of the state’s oil and pipeline board and governor of America’s largest state.

Sarah Palin’s enemies decided that nothing was too personal to attack-including her marriage, her children, her faith, and her wardrobe.

The media distorted Palin’s positions and beliefs beyond recognition. And almost every word out of her mouth was spun as a “flub”.

The media hounded her, and her family, on a daily basis, flat out making crap up (like that she, personally, shot wolves from the air). They claimed her baby was not her own; used despicable language to attack her, and her family; sent numerous reporters to Wasilla to dig up dirt on her ; AP reporters “factchecked” her book; accused her of being an accomplice to murder, her email hacked by the son of a Democrat congressman, political operatives filing endless bogus ethic charges designed to bankrupt a working family with a special need toddler and much more.

  • RUexperienced

Of course Palin is to be blamed for her fans being disillusioned.

Palin was asked if she had the fire in the belly for a presidential run.

Palin said, “I do have the fire in the belly.”

Her fan club was supposed to surmise that Palin only had the fire in her belly for a reality show and a celebrity bus tour?

  • grais

That’s exactly what they do. And then they add about 4 layers of imaginary nonsense.
    Kids are so simple.

  • sunshine19851

Please. Even people who were ready to kiss his feet during this last election cycle can’t deny now that he’s a lying sack of shit. He lies about everything. It’s sad really that there are still people defending this administration.

Your post about Trig is under “moderation”. But I read it just the same you POS.

Did those republicans file lawsuit after lawsuit which Barry was forced to answer, and pay his own legal bills as well?

  • anAmericanMom

He is sooooo lacking on every level, hence he doesn’t resign.

I personally wouldn’t want that .. his resignation. Nor any impeachment. I lost faith in the world’s biggest ,divisional, delusional, political circus, we call our political system, in this present day.

So we are ALL stuck with a big expensive failure of our entire governance.

I am all for a restructure of the government. A really big one, to get it to a really teeny, tiny and functional size. This ship is overcrowded, listing and going down.

That is the best thing that could happen.

At some point enough *really smart, decent, open minded and open hearted, people who love the country first, a political party, last. Will draw up a plan that is fair and doable.

Meanwhile I am glad I grew up on the water!

  • The Penguin

Sorry, had to mold a BillyN. What I miss? I miss Hydrox cookies, my Mom who passed, and being able to kick the sh*t out of a venomous punk without getting sued. Other than that… I’m good stain.

You forgot, “While denying the rightful owners to tour or even enter the very house that they pay for.” That’s right, I said it! Your Boy King master is a one step out of the hood racial agitator, that managed to con and cheat his way into an office that he repeatedly proves that he is in no way qualified to hold!

Don’t forget a SNL skit when Tina Fey said she could see Russia from her home and the useful idiots, to this day, still think it was Sarah that said that.

Everyone just expects lies from this administration and then the diversionary “blame Palin or Bush….” YAWN*

  • https://www.facebook.com/ritchietheriveter Ritchie The Riveter

Why is Sarah Palin living rent-free in your head?

Perhaps because stepping down has let her “become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”

Her power is that she gives an uncompromising public voice to principles and ideas that MILLIONS of people have discerned to be true and good, well before she ever said it … yet is apparently beyond the reach of the myopic minds of our intellectual, political, and social elites and their well-propagandized conventional wisdom.

(BTW, that is the same power that has kept Rush, Hannity, Levin, and FNC thriving, despite all the poo flung at them by Progressives.)

She reminds us that there is an alternative to the dysfunctional malaise our Best and Brightest have mired us in … that we are not alone in discerning that alternative … and that if a “hockey mom” can rise to public office, take on both the GOP Alaska Mafia and Big Oil and prevail, so can other “ordinary” people and therefore we don’t need to settle for the dysfunction of the elites.

  • TEXs

    Brandt Hardin

Why is Sarah Palin still relevant?
    *****************************************************

Because, among many other reasons, Governor PALIN is extremely admired
and supported by millions on one side, and extremely feared and hated
by Permanent Political Class – Dems and GOP establishment, on the other.

This is why every political comment she makes carry big weight…..

  • anjullyn

Guess what…she doesn’t CARE what disgusting comments you make. It shows your pathetic attempt for attention while reinforcing her ability to make you crazier than you are already.

  • Markward

Jesus, ya know something? If you could actually market this stuff, you wouldn’t be trolling political sites trying to gull people into buying your impressionistic Palin nudes. Look, here’s a suggestion: try renting a table next time Anime Weekend Atlanta or Project A-Kon rolls around. Someone should buy your stuff: you’ve been trying to pimp this stuff for three years since you showed up on Deviant Art and, well, it’s not working.

    Get a new act.

I would be content to see her in Congress, either as a Rep or as a senator. I am not sure our country is ready for a female President after this disaster with the Obots electing Obama via election fraud…. and…omg if Hillary runs I am so voting anyone else… she is as corrupt as they come

  • misterdawg

I don’t think that her career as a republican candidate is something you will see, but as a Tea Party candidate she will get elected. Go Sarah!

  • misterdawg

Yes I have a post master who believes she said it tho I have told her different. There is no way a Democrat will believe the facts when they have been led a bunch of false statements. Or mis-spoken words. I like to call them lies, but it’s not politically correct to call someone a liar.

  • Exodus2011

This country needs, more than anything else, in govt, a NOT4SALE PROVEN REFORMER who will preside over TRANSPARENT Governance ….. in order to restore the Public TRUST … It doesn’t matter to me whether that leader is a male or a female

  • Section 9

Stop. You’re trying to argue with someone who’s business it is to sell bad nude paintings of Sarah Palin. Yes, we’d like him to stop, in the same way we wish the Adolf had stayed in the business of painting awful still life paintings in Vienna before the Great War.

Your arguments against this charlatan are casting so many pearls before swine.

Besides, at some point, it becomes UnChristian to try and take the bread off a man’s table.

    So to speak.

  • Martin F O’Brien

He’s crazier than a parrot eating peanut butter! Jim Wright was off limits? Who paid McCain off? Very large forces at work? Not sure but you have to wonder. McCain leaves Wright off the table. Then Romney won’t bring up Benghazi? If he did, it would’ve forced the media to keep it in the public eye.
