John Kerry has been Secretary of State for more than five months now, but he’s been occupying a relatively low-key role until this week, when the historic uprising in Egypt thrust him (and his yacht) into the spotlight. We’ve already seen the #JohnKerryYachtNames hashtag take off in tribute, but with the State Department now backtracking on its claim that any sightings of Kerry afloat while Egypt burned were “completely inaccurate,” maybe it’s time for a new #StateDeptMotto as well.
