Kirsten Powers: ‘I do not stand with Wendy Davis'; Blasts pro-abort fringe, media

Amen.

Kirsten Powers is a fierce woman warrior for life. As Twitchy reported, she, like Brit Hume and Laura Ingraham, recently slammed the sickening hero worship of late-term abortion proponent Wendy Davis. She also engaged in an awesome Twitter battle with late-term abortion supporters.

Lady smarts, baby!

On Tuesday, Twitter was buzzing over Ms. Powers’ latest article at The Daily Beast.

That she did. Here is a sampling, but you really must read the whole thing.

One can assume I am also not the only woman in America who is really tiring of the Wendys of the world claiming to represent “women’s rights” in their quest to mainstream a medical procedure—elective late-term abortion—that most of the civilized world finds barbaric and abhorrent. In many European countries, you can’t get an abortion past 12 weeks, except in narrow circumstances. Gallup reported in January that 80 percent of Americans think abortion should be illegal in the third trimester, and 64 percent think it should be illegal in the second trimester.

If the majority of Americans oppose elective late-term abortion, why do we have Davis complaining to CBS’s Bob Schieffer that the male politicians who are championing the late-term abortion ban are “bullying women”? Maybe it’s she who is bullying the rest of us into supporting a view that is mocked by scientific advancement; namely 3-D sonograms. Maybe we should be thankful for the men and wonder what is wrong with the women who think protecting the right to abort your baby for any reason up to the 26th week is a “human right.”

Bam, boom and Amen, Ms. Powers.

In the article, she describes a baby at 25 weeks in utero (current Texas law allows abortion up to 26 weeks). The baby has fully developed hands described as “get ready for pat-a-cake.” Her nerve endings and brain are developed enough to feel touch.

These are babies that Wendy Davis and her supporters think should be able to be legally killed. This is what is being called heroic. Powers ends with this line:  “Standing for that is not heroic, and it is not something to be cheered.”

Indeed. But this is nothing new for the pro-abort Left: Sanctioning infanticide is what they do.

Bingo.

Wow. Great “arguments.”

Powers swiftly takes him to task masterfully.

Scratch a leftist, find a sexist every time. Just sit there and look purty, Ms. Powers, while the oh-so-smart liberal men will tell you what to think. And make him a sammich while you are at it.

Heh.

Powers then blasted the swooning members of the media who have been worshipping at the altar of Wendy Davis.

Precisely. Wendy Davis and her supporters are the fringe.

Twitter users applauded Ms. Powers and rightly so:

We do too. Keep fighting the good fight, Ms. Powers!

And an exit question for the media:

Don’t hold your breath: Pro-life women aren’t the “right kind” of women, natch.
