More sole-searching: What’s next for Wendy Davis? MSNBC reports, you belly laugh

LOL, indeed.

As we gear up for a “master class on pro-abortion media bias” this Sunday, MSNBC wants you to know that Texas lawmaker Wendy Davis has the soles of her pink sneakers set on taking her anti-woman, pro-abortion show all the way to the governor’s mansion.

Now that she has a national profile, is the next step a run for the Texas governor’s house? “You know I would be lying if I told you I hadn’t had aspirations,” she said.

In other words, the #StandWithWendy campaign has only gotten started.

Exit question:

  • Rip_Ford

Could I be Salma Hayek’s new boy toy? I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t thinking about it.

    • syvyn11

NO YOU CAN’T BE. I’m going to be Salma’s new boy toy.

And I’m just as delusional as Wendy if I believe that.

Due to her ILLEGALLY forcing a mob of people on State House grounds in order to interrupt voting after her filibuster failed, I suggest a mandatory prison sentence.

    • trixiewoobeans

Can you imagine what she’d do, as governor, if a mob did that to her? Water cannons and tear gas! Dems don’t take too kindly to protest (Civil Rights), especially Pro-Aborts…they won’t even blink.

      • FGCU_James

Then again, conservatives wouldn’t do what she and her minions did, it being against the law and all.

    • Alexander_ATX

Are you seriously that delusional or just horribly misinformed? I was there. No one was “forced” to do anything. The PEOPLE stood up to the government, as is our right. And in the wake of the protest, the Republicans committed fraud (only reversing the damage after being caught). So if anyone should go to jail it should be those who actually broke the law.

  • John

To parochial, dream big, Clinton/Davis 2016.

    • Secede

President Palin will B*tch slap the heck out of her.

      • Ashley Everhart

        i wish

  • CatHerder

Oh yes, DO please run against Rick Perry!

You’ll never be heard from again.

    • Neil Leininger

I doubt Perry wins the nomination if he seeks it. Most conservatives in Texas are tired of him and his cronyism.

      • CatHerder

I don’t. Cronyism be damned, we expect that from politicians. What we demand is alignment with our wishes, and Rick has given us that.

        • Brendon Carr

It’s the quality and character of the politician’s cronies that determines his legacy. For example, don’t we all wish Barack Obama knew a few better cronies?

      • Secede

That’s what you Libs said the last 3 elections. And he’s still here.

        • Neil Leininger

Silly casca thinking I’m a liberal.

          • sickbritkid

            Doesn’t change his point.

      • lainer51

I doubt Billary wins the nomination if she seeks it. Most people with brains are tired of her and Bubba’s cronyism.

  • FreedomFighter

Given that over 60% are against her, I really have doubts about her run for governor.

    • Jon

      — The Democrats’ plan for turning Texas blue is to increase turnout among the state’s growing Hispanic population.

      — The vast majority of Texas’ growing Hispanic population is Catholic.

      — The Democrats’ think by running a woman who uses as the cornerstone of her campaign the idea that there should be no abortion restrictions on any fetuses past the 20-week gestation period is the way to turn out huge numbers of new Catholic Hispanic voters.

This only makes sense on Planet MSNBC.

      • Mtr Mann

As long as the repubs focus on increasing women’s safety and limiting abortion to the first trimester, the dems will have a hard time demonizing that position. People despise blowhard politicians and fools like Todd Akin are very easy for the media to ridicule.

  • Billie Slash

This idea proves how insulated the liberal media is from reality. As a native Texan, the idea of this baby-killing woman as governor is preposterous. It will never happen.

    • Orwellian_Dilemma

If I recall, Ann Richards wanted more women to get pregnant so more abortions could happen. Republicans need to be careful of this viper.

      • Billie Slash

Ann Richards also wanted gun control. That’s why she was defeated soundly by GWB. We Texans have long memories when it comes to female Dem. governors.

        • Orwellian_Dilemma

Ann Richards was Stalin in drag.

  • MSM

LOL. Okay Julian Castro… maybe in 8 years. Wendy Davis? 30… 40 years? If she campaigns hard I’m sure she could get it down to 29 tops.

First off, do they not read any of the stats in Texas? Several South Texas hispanic democrats in the House voted yes for it. Why? Cause they’re catholic. The Texas hispanic population happen to be really catholic and they take it seriously.

Also she should worry about her own district. She only barely won it with Obama at the top of the ticket in 2012. (I think it was by 500 or less votes). She’s up in 2014.

She’s painted herself as super supportive of late-term abortion and shady abortion clinics not bringing themselves up to regs. I mean, sure Planned Parenthood has money, but why should they have to spend it upgrading their facilities?

That’s like asking Wal-Mart to bring its building up to code. It’d bankrupt them!

In fact, most of the anger I’ve seen by my liberal friends about this has not been for the abortion bill, but the means of it being passed by a second special session.

    • Ronald Green

They should be angry over how their allies disrupted the legislative process, but they’re not. And if they’re telling you they’re angry about another special session, they’re lying to you. It’s because they know they can’t win it so “it is fair”.

  • NixTyranny

If that Governor “thing” falls through, maybe she and Sandra Fluke could go into business together selling Planned Parenthood franchises in Blue States. That is surely buried in the 2,700 pages of Obamacare somewhere.

    • TocksNedlog

Of course it is! Depending on when they sign up for Obamacare, some women might have a “preexisting condition” growing inside them.

    • tjp77

Business? No no no, liberals don’t go into ‘business’. They set up ‘non-profits’ and then demand taxpayer money to keep them afloat, while paying themselves six-figure salaries.

  • syvyn11

The #standwithwendy hashtag is ripe for hijacking.

    • WisconsinPatriot

  • RememberSekhmet

I doubt she’ll keep her seat in Fort Worth.

    • Kristi Reagan

I live in her district. She will not keep her seat. She barely won it to begin with and looks for every opportunity to insult the almost 50% of her constituents who didn’t vote for her.

      We call her Windy Dullard.

      • mickeyco

Praying you’re right Kristi. I’m not from TX, but she just needs to be gone.

  • Maxwell

She would have no real support. The only real liberal areas in Texas are Austin, and south near the border.

Texas is the only state I can think of where the big cities aren’t liberal, and that’s where 90 percent (why does my phone not a percent key?) democratic support comes from.

    • RememberSekhmet

Inner parts of Dallas and Houston are pretty liberal, but the surrounding counties are as conservative as it gets.

    • Robin Rountree

well I hope it stays that way. Ive seen people from Texas brag about how people from California and New York are moving there because business is better in Texas but those people start moving to your state then of course it becomes blue at least purple that’s what happened in my state grrrrr

  • RememberSekhmet

I just had a few thoughts about this Wendy Davis thing. Maybe this is a sign that Democrats are beginning to realize Hillary is not electable, and they are frantically searching for an alternative. There may be some kind of problem with Julian Castro that the Texas GOP is just waiting for the right moment to spring. There are noises here in Texas that Abbott would be her opponent, should she run, not Perry. Perry (per the rumors) is looking at 2016.

  • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

    I think it would be more likely for Danica Patrick to win a NASCAR Race than for Wendy Davis to win the Governor’s post in Texas. Just sayin’… #RightWard Jawamax 8<{D}

    • Brendon Carr

It would certainly be more popular.

  • Don Truscott

    How about mole removal?

  • willicaroline

Is that a pee bag dragging behind her? Or just another chunky abortion?

  • Joe W.

It will be a cold day in Dallas in August before THIS Texan votes for the murdering wretch……

  • Peyton

There may be a woman in the governor’s mansion in the next few years, but it sure won’t be that one.

  • Angie

If the Shamnesty bill passes the House — in any form — it won’t be long before her dreams come true.

  • Zathras11 @B5

My offer to retroactively abort this one-trick pony still stands. She will even filibuster in favor of this. She told me so.

  • Neil Leininger

62% of Texans disagree with her late term abortion views. She would get boat-raced.

  • BoscoBolt

What’s next for ‘Abortion Queen’ Wendy Davis?

    Eternal damnation, perhaps?

  • John Kerry’s Forehead

Name recognition is all it takes these days. Hence Weiner’s recent boost in NY polls. This woman has that low-info, name recognition thing going. Hence my continued campaign to eliminate all these do-nothing incumbent DC squatters during the primary season.

Less people, especially low-info voters, turn out during primary elections. That is the perfect time to get rid of these squatters who have spent decades ruining the country. If they aren’t on the general election ballot, low-info voters can’t vote for them. And, yes, there are low info voters on both sides of the aisle.

  • southerntragedy

Perry is calling for another special session. Wanna take bets if the Dems cross over the border again? Remember when we had to drag them out of Oklahoma so they could do the will of The People in the Great State of Texas?

I want to know if Dewhurst is prepared for more nonsense. He clearly slacked the last go-round. I am disgusted at what has happened in our Capitol. /spits

  • southerntragedy
    • Jeremy

I hope she takes out that evil woman.

  • Ed Sullivan

As a resident of the great state of Texas I would love to see her run for governor. It would be the biggest landslide victory for whoever the R’s put up. Heck Otis the drunk would wake up in the mansion in Austin.

  • Jeremy

My response to Wendy Davis’s chances for Governor.

  • iconoclast33

Her campaign slogan could be: “Let’s get in there and kill us some kids!”

  • gekkobear

Well her side of that legislation has a whopping 39% or so support as I read only 61% of people polled in Texas supported it.

Is 39% a majority, assuming she can get all those undecided to support her?

    • Finrod Felagund

When liberal Democrats count the vote, they can make any percentage into a majority.

  • Ashley Everhart

i will move—- but i doubt high;y she is judging the women of Texas correctly and that this state would vote her in. With the bill —They are using a lot of out of state activists….. if they put it to a vote, bill would pass.

  • PeriMedic

I wouldn’t laugh too hard. If Perry keeps trying to lure Californians and New Yorkers to the state, it WILL turn blue. Seattle was once not California North, nor Colorado California East.

Not to mention the change amnesty will make to all border states if it becomes law. There once was a time California was not the socialist paradise it now is.

A native, I left California to come to a Virginia because it fit me better. Now, it’s a questionable state strictly from the population of the Beltway and the adjacent counties–a very small geographic area of the entire commonwealth. Good Lord, that asshole Terry McAuliffe will probably be our next governor!

Don’t ever become complacent. It will be a sad day if we lose Texas.

  • juandos

Gee! Could a pro-infanticide cheer leader with the help of nazi symps be the next governor of Texas?

Then again who ever thought we’ed put a commie symp in the Oval Office not just once but twice?

  • philoise65

Imagination is the last refuge of a sick mind.

  • Redzilla

She would win in Austin. But outside of those city limits the people of the state have more brains than pot.

  • Marcy Cook

    Could I be Elvis reincarnated?

  • Kaya Hund

In addition to a catheter, she’ll need a morals transplant.

  • jetch

why do politicians these days do one attention getting thing and all of a sudden they are the next governor, senator, president??? have we become such an impulse driven society that having experience, and building a resume is no longer needed??
I have become sorely disappointed in rubio and ryan who seem to think they are the next Obama – just do one big thing and you’re the president. now we have this lady who had to stand and speak for what, 11 hours?? and that gets you the governorship??

  • Billie Slash

Your point has merit. However, 62% of Texans are against abortion of any kind.

  • Grandma HeadInjury

Speaking of “deeply ignorant”…oh, the irony….

  • Secede

The United States is full of deeply ignorant people – who voted for Obama

  • Conservagrl

Yeah Texas sucks, their economy is still rapidly growing, they have 1 of the lowest tax burdens in the US, no state income tax, lower unemployment rate then the rest of the US, compare it to the dump known as California, then ask yourself how Perry gets elected.

  • Marcy Cook

And yet those Texans are doing so much better than all the other states. If that is ignorant send some up here to New York.

  • Junie3

Innocents are murdered, they haven’t chosen a party. Think before you ask this stupid question. We aren’t wishing death on liberals just their idiot ideas.

  • Billie Slash

    Interesting question. Here’s another:

Wouldn’t it be better if adults who ignore God’s laws in the name of “moral superiority” (the liberal mantra) stand in front of God one day and be told how morally inferior their actions were??

  • Jeff Coil

Libs don’t need their own kids they control the schools so they can indoctrinate ours.

  • Finrod Felagund

Wow, you couldn’t pack any more bogus liberal talking points into that paragraph if you tried– and contempt for the poor to boot, you presume they’re incapable of getting ID.

  • Finrod Felagund

Indeed. In 2008 the exit polls showed that 52% of Obama voters thought that Republicans still controlled Congress (Dems had taken over after the 2006 election).

  • Finrod Felagund

Do you need a wet-nap to clean the spittle off your monitor?

  • Diane Stephan

Oh pleeze, gays still get beat up and killed in the streets of NYC, so spare us your liberal elitism about Red States. BTW, I live in NYC and this city is full of illiterates and lowlifes.

  • Marjorie

I want to move to Texas!

  • Secede

He needs them to clean up his keyboard after fapping to a picture of Obama…

  • southerntragedy

LOL! You know not what you talk about. Look up why Tom Delay was prosecuted. From the Huffington Post: “DeLay, 65, was found guilty in November 2010 of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering for helping illegally funnel corporate money to Texas candidates in 2002.”

Liberals are always chasing squirrels. BTW: Gene Green’s district was jerrymandered for Hispanic votes years ago. He’s been elected since that happened a decade or 2 ago. Also SJL’s district.

As for voter ID? Basically, you are saying that minorities are too stupid on how to obtain a free ID. Bless your heart.

Always a victim. Common sense has left the building. Public transportation? Neighbors? Community?

There is plenty of help out there if one seeks to help themselves. Lookit! Victim!

Where I live? We help each other and not rely upon the government. I know my neighbors and they know me. If I don’t see one of them for 10 years and they show up needing help? I’m there. And they for me.

My mama was born on a farm in 1917. She figured out a way to obtain an ID.

Call it PERSONAL responsibility if you must. Government Kills Communities. Thanks for playing. Your mama is calling.

Your mac and cheese is getting cold.
