About to marry the #Prop8 plaintiffs Kristin Perry and Sandra Stier. Wedding bells are ringing!—
Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) June 28, 2013
Same-sex marriages are taking place in California for the first time since 2008, and “easy on the eyes” Attorney General Kamala Harris wasted no time in performing the nuptials for Proposition 8 plaintiffs Kristin Perry and Sandra Stier. Harris’ tweet announcing the wedding was retweeted more than 1,000 times in the first hour.
Other high-profile politicians were quick to get in on the event as well, present or not.

See, the government can get things done quickly when it wants to.
Expect similar if lower-profile scenes all weekend as San Francisco City Hall prepares for an influx of couples.
Breaking: SF City hall will stay open til 8 p.m. tonight, and be open 9-5 Sat & Sun, for marriage licenses, per KGO TV.—
