Actor and aristocrat slacktivist Ian Somerhalder considers himself a “global trotter.” The hypocritical “green energy” fanboy jets around the world lamenting that he can’t even open his swanky L.A. windows thanks to the pollution spewed by your gas-guzzling cars and filthy airplanes.

See, his globe trotting is Important™. Jet engines for me, but not for thee.

And now, after stepping off a plane in London, his elitist sense of right and wrong is under assault by taxi engines that just don’t burn cleanly enough for his refined, environmentally-correct tastes.

Hey, Ian, after your next transatlantic flight, we have a concept we’d love to introduce you to: self-awareness.

A guy (and that’s being generous) who PLAY ACTS is on a very popular show and is in a movie says WE should govern our use of fossil fuels, but has NO problem jetting around the world, burning them for fun.     In East Central Florida, my family owned CANAVERAL CAB COMPANY between 1976 (founded by my Mom and Step-Father) and 1994, and we would bring the cars in to fix the exhaust system, change a muffler/tailpipe, etc.(and this was in East Central Florida in the seventies, the days of cheap Regular gasoline, before Carter #AllTeethNoBrains #Americathon ruined it… #RightWard Jawamax 8<{D}

      I also drove a cab for a comany owned by a Phillipino couple, for about six months….Everyone from Call Girls to Strippers, Little old Ladies to the Military, and many tourists, and I can tell you…It’s much MUCH cheaper than renting a car.. #RightWard Jawamax 8<{D}

      The show he is on is equally as simple. “The Vampire Diaries” has to be one of the campiest shows I have seen, and that’s saying a lot, because I watch a lot of mindless campy shows.

    Ian did not “jet” to :London. He was already there and has been since May 27th due to filming a movie over the summer hiatus. He made a simple comment in his tweet regarding cleaner burning engines, which is totally expected considering he believes in a cleaner environment. Ian started the Ian Somerhalder Foundation for the purpose of protecting the environment and animals, especially those animals that have been abused. I see no reason to ridicule the guy because he actually believes in something.
