‘Comedian’ Ralphie May on dead Okla. storm chasers: Sometimes God just cleans up the gene pool

On Friday, three storm chasers were killed while pursuing a tornado in Oklahoma. As Twitchy reported, one member of the chase team detailed the ominous storm in a haunting final tweet.

Whenever there’s a tragedy involving a loss of life, we can always count on somebody to “go there.” Today that person was comedian Ralphie May, who is big in physical size but small in the area of sensitivity:

Reaction to May’s tweet, some of it from people who otherwise describe themselves as fans of his comedy, was mostly critical:

Not that May didn’t have his defenders:

May threw it at Twitter, and it didn’t stick.

Update: The original version of this post misidentified the storm chasers as Weather Channel employees. Twitchy regrets the error.

  • djaz

Another barely “celeb” needing attention. Don’t know him and moving on..

  • David Speers

Never heard of this guy. Maybe he’s trying to get his name out there. There’s no such thing as bad publicity. That’s what I’ve heard anyway. Very inappropriate tweet, though.

  • JustLikeAnimals

    Fat piece of $hit.

    • Rich

      Ditto

  • Garth Haycock

I’ve always understood that in order to be a comedian, one has to be funny. My sons were watching this guy a while back on some awful show that was supposed to be a roast – I guess roasts are now about being vulgar – and nothing he said was even remotely amusing, let alone funny.

    • Chris

To respond to the “roast” part of your comment, yes, it is to see how nasty the comment can be, i.e. Lisa Lampanelli, or however you spell it. On the topic of Ralphie May, when I had my satellite radio, I listened to the comedy channels alot. When you get the short clips, a lot of people can seem funny. I thought he was funny until I watched a comedy central show. I pretty well have no respect for any of these people because they have sold their souls to be “mainstream”.

  • Steve_J

From his tweets the last thing he should be talking about is the gene pool.

  • detroit19

I would be watching my own ass, then, Ralphie…sounds like you’re not too deep in the ‘gene pool’…easy pickings. Not to mention that you’re not funny.

  • froggy19510

    Shock comic. Oxymoron.

    • kch50428

It’s a shock the putz is thought to be a comic…

      • froggy19510

I wasn’t going to comment on this thread anymore, but I just had to say that your post actualy made me laugh. And it’s been a long day.
        Thanks.

“You throw jokes against the wall to see what sticks”

And if it doesn’t stick, don’t double down.

In other words, “Put down that shovel and step away from the hole.”

  • ICOYAR

All liberals do is laugh and celebrate when somebody is killed, except for murderers themselves.

  • Randy Davis

Ralphie, jokes like that are not are not to smart to make. These guys did work to keep everyone’s and your fat biscuit eating ass safe. You should know about the gene pool since you represent 100 years of inbreeding.

    • Anthony Clay

      bank that, truly disgusting

  • Glen Hull

The twitter beatdown that Swiney gave was funnier than anything May has ever puked up. “That country you call an ass”. Epic.

  • Sean Allen

I find it funny that the “conservatives” on this page are calling for Ralphie May to die/be killed. If you truly are conservatives, why would you stoop to a liberal’s level? He made a joke. You dont find it funny? Thats the beauty of comedy, if you dont like the joke find another comedian. By the way, he’s actually a pretty funny guy, if you actually give him a chance instead of having a knee-jerk lib reaction to it. I get where he is coming from, driving towards a tornado is stupid, and there has to be a better way to study them than saying “Hey look, y’all, its a tornado! Lets go catch it!” But on the other hand, I too am fascinated by them, and will run outside to look for it when the sirens go off. I guess what I’m getting at is dont be like the libs, let the man do his job, and move on.

    • jennifer mansito

For the record, Tim did not drive into tornadoes..he was actually one of the safest and productive chasers/scientists out there. He typically gets ahead of the tornado, leaves his probes and then vacates the area. He then goes back after it passes and retrieves the probes to collect data. He has done groundbreaking work for the community and was highly respected. He was the type of guy to help pull people out of houses after a tornado ripped through a town. What happened was unfortunate but it was not due to any idiocracy on his part. Ralphie’s comment was in poor taste and one might even say “too soon, ralphie..too soon” and his responses to fellow tweeters are classic “trolling” he just wants attention.

      • Anthony Clay

you tell it jen, his career is mediocre at best, i can smell him from here

    • jgeorgia2000

So you’er not an expert on tornado studies. Actually most of the pro May comments are from libiots who actually thought this was just a reality race type show and not of scientific importance. They and May should be shouted out as deserving of what he wished for: death. If you and he can’t take it get off the stage!

    • John (it true me am)

I defended your reply to the person who made the most questionable comment, but May doesn’t deserve a defense anymore than the one or two idiots answering him in kind do. The “comedy” defense doesn’t apply here because first and foremost it simply wasn’t funny or witty in the slightest. It wasn’t even really phrased as a joke. I’d point to Gilbert Gottfried’s Japanese Tsunami tweet debacle as a contrast. Gottfried made an insensitive comment far “too soon” but it wasn’t mean spirited and was clearly meant in jest, however poorly timed it was. This is just May pointing out a tragedy and saying “they deserved it”.

      • Sean Allen

First off, you didnt have to defend me, although I appreciate the fact that I’m not the only one that thinks he was just being stupid. And, I think, he does need a defense. Everybody deserves a defense. And the “comedy” defense does apply. Just because you didn’t think it was funny doesn’t mean that everyone shares your opinion. Not everybody thinks Larry the Cable Guy is funny. Not everybody thought George Carlin was funny. But like I said, thats the great thing about comedy. If you dont like the comedian, find someone you do like to laugh at. And don’t take my defense of this as me endorsing his point of view, because I dont. I just felt I needed to put an opposing view point in, especially considering the vile things people are saying about the man. We are all supposedly conservatives here, and yet it seems everyone is all to ready to jump straight to the liberal mindset of trash talk and destroy anybody they dont like or agree with. I thought we were better than that. But, I’ve been proved wrong. Whats wrong with just ignoring him? If you ignore him, his comments wont get the attention brought to them that he is desperately trying to garner. But because everyone so far has been happy to get into a leftist style outrage about his comments, he’s sitting at home making bank because its drawing up interest in him.

        • John (it true me am)

I believe that satire/comedy by its nature should be held to a different standard… But here’s the key difference between the examples you mentioned and this tweet. Ralphie May wasn’t making a joke, he was doing a Nelson Muntz “Haha!” at dead people. This wasn’t a part of his act or him bombing on stage and floundering with bad lines(to use an extreme example, the famous Michael Richards fiasco) in the slightest. Would you be making the same defense of him if he didn’t happen to be a comedian? If an accountant had sent out the identical tweet, do you think you’d have the same response?

You also neglect something important regarding the “just ignore him” part. You are perfectly in your right to just ignore him, but other people are perfectly in their right to call him out on what he said. Freedom of speech goes both ways. He certainly had every right to make the comment, and anyone who calls for “punishment”(“He should be removed from the gene pool!” type responses) is out of line. But he isn’t immune from being told it was a poor excuse for a “joke” that was not only extremely inappropriate and hurtful to the family of the victims(not to mention outright factually wrong in spirit, as these were hardly men you’d “want” to be “cleaned from the gene pool” if you actually knew anything about them), but even if you were to assume it were to qualify as a joke to begin with was just plain bad.

        • Jill

Conversely, what is wrong with engaging in dialouge with others who believe his comment to be in exceptionally poor taste? Somehow, I don’t think this comedic outing will garner him new fans.

One or two people do not represent all Conservatives any more than a few thousand jerks represent all Liberals. And they weren’t driving “toward” the tornado. If you knew anything about Tim Samaras, then you’d know he was not just a storm chaser, and he was also one of (if not THE) most cautious researcher out there in the field. FYI, he was in a safe position but the El Reno tornado took an unexpected turn right at the point they happened to be. If you knew more about Samaras, you’d also know that his company built probes, and in fact, he holds the world’s record for having successfully recorded the lowest drop in barometric pressure in a storm. If it were not for those pioneers in the field, who put themselves out there for study and research, then we would not have the advanced warning systems we have in place now. Someone had to do it to save lives, and many lives they have indeed saved…apparently even old Ralphie’s, twice. Yet he shows his appreciation for the advancement of technology by completely disrespecting these researchers. If anything, this should serve as a lesson to all of the wannabes out there who only think they are storm chasers, that even the best of the best are taking chances, but their reasons are far different. One does it to save lives, the other does it for glory. Ralphie is displaying extremely poor taste and did not come off as joking…not in the least little bit. It’s disgusting and he owes the families of these men an apology, as well as those who worked closely with them and knew them well. Let’s just pray that Ralphie doesn’t have karma come back and bite him in his butt.

Oh please, let’s not pretend this is about the ‘craft’ of comedy. How does being a vile disgusting person making fun of people who did nothing but help people dying equate in any way to comedy and what does it have to do with being conservative? Libs are the ones who dance on people’s graves, not us. You are just trying to defend your favorite comedian, but what he said is indefensible and the sooner you realize it the better.

      • Sean Allen

I never said he is my favorite comedian. And I never said I approve of what he said. I was merely pointing out that people are way too quick to judge and to jump on the “lets bash him because we dont like what he said” bandwagon. I do happen to find him funny sometimes, mainly in his earlier work. And I do believe he is entitled to a defense. If the boston bomber is going to get a damned defense, why cant a comedian that made an inappropriate joke get a defense?

When people do/say bad things they should be held accountable. And people are entitled to a defense in a court of law, not in the court of public opinion.

There is not even an ounce of humor in a disparaging comment about people who tragically just lost their lives. Ralphie May (whoever that ignorant tool is) revealed himself to be not only insensitive but incredibly crass and offensive.

        • Jill

The Boston Bomber is getting a legal defense because he is Constitutionally guaranteed one. Defend these comments by this alleged comedian all you wish, but don’t be surprised when most of the world finds dancing on the graves of the freshly dead to be unseemly.

    Dear Ralphie,

Dane Cook just called. It seems you aren’t that funny.

  • Michelle

Wait, what? This guy calls himself a comedian and the best he can do is a “gene pool” joke? How impressively original. Aside from being inappropriate, it’s not even funny. We’ve all been hearing “gene pool” jokes since 3rd grade. On another note (and yes, I’m about to slap down a “gene pool” comment, but then…I don’t fancy myself a “comedian”), looking at the size of this man, looks like he needs to worry about his own gene pool and lay off recently deceased and respected people. No wonder he’s not a happy person.

And re the “gene pool”, clearly Mr May, God did not scoop deep enough with his net to catch you, or maybe He’s just waiting for his super dooper commercial grade net to nail your portly ass.

Idiots like this and his supporters are what needs to be cleaned out of the gene pool. Every time some comedian hack makes an offensive joke that was way out of line, you always have their pathetic fanbase standing up for them and making excuses. “It was just a joke. There are no boundaries in comedies.”
That may be true, but when you are making jokes about people who JUST died, it shows you have no soul and no morals.

Maybe you should learn what they did as scientists before chalking it up as nothing but “driving toward a tornado”. At one time people said it was stupid to take a ship across the ocean to an unknown destination, said if G*d intended man to fly He would have given him wings, stupid to strap a man on top of rocket and launch him into space. You and lard ass May made it clear -you actually think “smart” people never take chances in the name of discovery! And you and fat slob May are wrong. You accomplished what you wanted – publicity. When a 500 lb D list comic can’t get the attention of anyone – what’s the answer? Make a stupid, feckless comment and call it a “joke”.
The irony really shouldn’t be lost on anyone – A talent-challenged, 500lb tub of goo who likely hasn’t had sex with anything without batteries and requiring inflation in… well, forever, makes a joke about weeding out the gene pool – that’s the funny part.

You keep throwing Big Macs and double shakes into your oversized pie-hole Ralphie. When your four-time normal size heart decides to go on vacation, they’ll have to special order your coffin. No, a Darwin award winner is someone who does something stupid for no real benefit to anyone and pays the ultimate price. This man was researching a hard to predict bit of weather in the hopes of eventually increasing our understanding and helping us predict when and where a tornado will strike. If not for storm chasers, I might not be alive today. They don’t just study tornadoes scientifically, they also work with the local weather stations in keeping us up to speed on where the tornadoes are going. There is only so much doppler radar can do. The rest is done by the storm chasers because sometimes you just have to have eyes on the ground and at the site of the tornado itself. Dangerous work for sure but it saves lives. R.I.P. Tim Samaras and his team.

Weather Channel employees were nearly killed, however; they managed to get out of the way just in time (although their stormchasing vehicle wasn’t so lucky). Now, on Ralphie May…ever heard of the phrase “no publicity is bad publicity“? I think that May was trolling for any kind of attention he could get…by any means necessary. You would think that the human condition would stop this.

  • LegalizeShemp

Radical leftists have perfected the art of hiding disgusting personal and political invective by simply referring to it as “comedy” or “satire”. That way they don’t have to take responsibility for making such comments, while demanding that others who engage in the same behavior apologize or resign.

    • flyboy

EXACTLY correct. Every time one of these mouth breathing liberal “comedian” troglodytes says something hateful/racist/stupid it’s just brushed off as a “ha ha I was only making a joke” kind of thing. No apology, nothing. Now let’s see if conservative comedian Dennis Miller made a similar “gene pool” comment about a Californian refusing to leave his home then getting killed in a wildfire if the liberal Demwits would have “ha ha” laughed it off (and let’s not even talk about similar comments that could have been made about the NOLA Katrina people who chose to stay in the path of a massive hurricane). We all know there would be extreme outrage from the bed wetting left and they demand he be ostracized. Disgusting fatassed pig from hell.

To be fair, they DO have a point. You play with fire, you’re gonna get burned. But his comment was insensitive and asinine. They had a job to do, and they loved doing it. The job may have the constant threat of being killed by a tornado, but that doesn’t make it okay for him to say things like that.

  • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

Hey Ralphie-Did you ever see the Movie “Twister” with Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt? The Tornadoes they chased in that movie may have been “special effects,” but they were depicting what REAL PEOPLE DO, even to this day-study severe weather and Tornadic activity for the purpose of keeping people safe. I realize it may not be 100%effective, but warning times have increased three-fold since about 1995 (when the movie came out), and advanced Technology (Doppler Radar, Satellites, etc.) help us to “see” the movement and activity of the storms.
    Okay, let me rephrase that in the form of a question: When the Military fights a war for our freedoms, is that also “God cleaning out the gene pool?” My answer (without need for explanation)-HELL NO! #TheWeatherChannel #RightWard Jawamax 8<{D}

Its offensive to storm chasers, yes. It would have been funnier if he went with “Okies” cause theres a gene pool that needs cleaning!!!!

  • afvet4america

Another insensitive Thug. It’s no joke to the family’s, friends and to people depending on further knowledge of Tornado’s by these storm chasers, May they have peace in the arm’s of God.

  • old_ogre

I think the man had a valid point! bad taste yes but a valid point. There is no reason to drive into a tornado, these guys knew the odds and decided the fame etc. was worth it. I cannot believe that with all our technology and capabilities that our scientists could not do the exact same job remotely.

Same goes for the people that insist on building homes in tornado alley, why in hell would anyone do that? You know eventually your gonna get hit, sometimes several times and then the rest of us have to foot the bill.

  • OpinionHated.me

It’s good to see the quality of commenters on here.. How any of you have the AUDACITY to be upset with a COMIC who is voicing a JOKE on TWITTER is beyond me. This country is full of people who’s level of entitlement far surpasses their intellectual capacity. The real loss here is that of respect for the masses.

    • LegalizeShemp

So you think making jokes about people getting killed is acceptable and does not deserve any response? I’ll bet if the joke was about AIDS victims, women, minorities or homosexuals you wouldn’t be so unimpressed would you, then you’d be calling for resignations, firings and apologies, right?

      • Worship Dancer

oh that would happen ONLY if the person making the joke was a conservative.

    • Torqued

Who’s upset? Just joking around with the fugly joker. And I didn’t even say anything about how hilarious it would be if that thing stroked out on stage.

So, in other words, Ralphie can joke around on the Internet all he wants, but no one can mock him in response? Yeah, the Internet doesn’t work that way. If you don’t like it, feel free to disconnect.

OK, so there’s going to be some differences of opinion here, and perhaps it was a bit soon. But what in God’s name makes grown men chase tornadoes around? Granted, some are truly researchers, yet many are just thrill seekers trying to get some video footage to pay for the cost of not having a real job.

That’s an interesting tweet from someone stuck in the shallow end.

  • Hannah Taylor

    My
dear Friends…I am asking you to share this, spread it like wild fire,
forward it, email it, post on your blog, on forums, on craigslist.
Send this to every single comedy house in every American city. Post it
to every news facebook page in every city, major newspaper, minor
newspaper, local, county, city. Post it to every college fb page, every
    college student body page.

Let’s teach Mr. May a lesson in
good etiquette and let’s teach him some manners that quite evidently his
    Mama failed to do so.

    Most importantly let’s teach this
walking 55 gallon drum with legs a lesson and hit his wallet by
boycotting his shows, and any establishments that would allow his
    “performances” to proceed.

Money is the only god that people like this understand.

SO forward this on and let’s hit him where it hurts. There’s a price
to pay when you piss off a lot of people by going after 3 good, honest
and hard working men who gave their lives for the good of society. I
will not stand idly by and do nothing.

    To Whom It May Concern;

I recently graduated from MTSU and I recall in 2011 Ralphie May did a stand up comedy routine at MTSU.

    http://w1.mtsu.edu/events/ralphiemay.php

I’d like to bring it to the publics’ attention of some comments he has
made about the lives of 3 scientists/engineers who died while storm
chasing this past Friday in El Reno, OK. These 3 men were not just
storm chasers, they were scientists, engineers with a passion for
storms, and who did research and made valuable contributions and
sacrifices for the good of people in the name of weather/science and
    personal safety.

    http://twitchy.com/2013/06/02/comedian-ralphie-may-on-dead-okla-storm-chasers-killed-sometimes-god-just-cleans-up-the-gene-pool/

I hope the people of Middle Tennesssee will NOT allow Ralphie May back
into their communities in the future and hope they will stand up and
denounce these comments and I urge the Murfreesboro and Nashville
communities to do the same that this type of attitude and behavior will
not be promoted, endorsed or tolerated. I hope the communities of other
cities will follow this as well. Please DO NOT allow Ralphie May to
perform or present his comedy act at your venue.

    Thank You

Hannah Taylor (MTSU Class of 2013)

Let’s just put this into a perspective we might all agree on : He spoke ill of the dead and made jokes about some other people’s horror, mental shock and loss.
It’s way past the exit ramp marked : “Moron’s Haven “, and it deserves utter contempt and nothing-much else.
Forget the fat jokes,… stupid, unfeeling and ugly are three terrible things to go through life with, and Ralph has them all, in quantity.

Wow. Way to take an issue with Obamacare and try to turn it around on an individual just because they rightfully took exception to what you said. Considering your apparent level of intelligence(or lack of age) with these two posts, I’d be willing to bet you’d more likely be the bigger leech on the system anyway

Answering Ralphie May’s idiocy with your own idiocy just makes you his equal. It’s not funny from him and it’s not funny from you.

  • Sean Allen

How exactly will I be a burden on you? I carry my own health insurance, forced to buy btw because of obamadoesntcare. Plus, despite being overweight, I am in otherwise perfect health. Also, I dont see being overweight as a disease like you libs do. I see it merely as I enjoy eating too much to not eat.

  • Michelle

With all due respect Sean, there is a big difference between being overweight and being obese. It’s great that you are overweight and in perfect health (many people are), but obese people are not considered in perfect health, because they’re not. Their lives are at risk. Overweight people are not a burden on healthcare, but obese people absolutely are.

just have a sense of humor partner, relax we love you

  • Sean Allen

There is a difference, and I should clarify. I would technically be considered obese. I weigh 340. My life is not at risk. Sure, I cant go out and run a mile, but I wouldn’t even if I could. I refuse to believe that all obese people are a burden on health care. I pay for all my doctor visits up front, as do many of us who are obese. I do not see it as a disease, like many do. I brought it on myself, because I enjoy eating for the sake of eating. I can point out to you every restaurant in my city and tell you whether the food is good or bad. But it is not because I am sick, mentally or otherwise. Its just because I like good food, and I probably watched a little too much tv and played a few too many video games growing up.

Sean, you have your head in the sand and are in a tremendous state of denial if you think your life is not at risk. You need to lose weight……and no, you are not in perfectly good health if you weigh 340 pounds.

  • Michelle

I hate to break this to you Sean, but 340 lbs isn’t “in perfect health” That is a tremendous strain on your heart even if you don’t exercise. And getting to 340 lbs because you like food (don’t blame you, love it myself), it’s not a stretch to assume your cholesterol isn’t where it should be. And you should try to get your story straight. A few comments above, you say you carry your own insurance, but then in the comment directly above, you claim to pay for all your Dr. visits upfront. Which is it Sean – you carry insurance or you pay out of pocket? Lastly, no matter how much you refuse to believe obese people are a strain on healthcare, you are very much mistaken. Obese people are much more prone to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, vascular disease, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, etc.

  • Jules

As an RN I believe I can make the following comment (and it’s not to hurt your feelings) : unless you are 8 feet tall there is no way that 340 lbs on you is a healthy weight. You are at high risk for diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, cancer, and many, many additional ailments and life threatening illnesses. You possibly already have an illness/ disease related to your morbid obesity. For your sake, I hope you start working on dropping the weight. When is the last time you saw an elderly (morbidly) obese person? Likely never. Life expectancy is considerably shortened by obesity. Fact.

  • Anthony Clay

geeze sean seek help there buddy, thats a bad prognosis, diabetes is horrible, thats what is in store for you, and it comes from to much food,no one wants to see you lose a foot or a leg or have a massive coronary, Your reaching out pal, thats a good sign, we do not want any one on the good team to die we luv you brother

  • Sean Allen

Obesity is the major contributor to developing type II diabetes. If you’re not diabetic now, you probably will become diabetic. Hardening (atherosclerosis) of the arteries is 10 times more likely to be present in obese vs. non-obese people. Atherosclerosis is a major contributor to strokes and heart attacks. In other words, you can’t see them, but your arteries probably look like $hit. Obese men have a higher rate of prostate and colon cancer. Obesity reduces the body’s ability to transport blood through the vessels. And these are just a few problems associated with obesity. So Sean, don’t kid yourself. You’re not healthy. Get off Twitchy and go exercise. And yes, you are part of the healthcare problem in America. Obesity-related conditions cause over 300,000 premature deaths yearly and cost over 150 billion dollars each year. Lose weight, buddy!

Sean, here is a healthy weight chart. You can see for yourself where you should be. Scroll down to see the men’s chart.

    http://www.healthchecksystems.com/heightweightchart.htm

  • Dasher

NO he is not part of the financial side of the healthcare problems. At 340 lbs, if you assume his height is the average 5’10-1/2″, his life expectancy is about 16 yrs less than a man with what is considered to be a “medically normal” weight. That means he won’t deplete social security funds, and never use the system to pay for elderly care (the OTHER drain on the system always complained about). Its a financial wash folks.

Obese folks have been targeted and ridiculed because everyone always wants to have someone to blame and point their finger at someone other than their own corrupt government and the greed of pharmaceuticals and health management organizations as the real problems. Its so much easier to marginalized a group of people and make them a pariah.

Grow up folks and get over it.

Speak as an RN all day long but unless and until you see his records, you can’t assume anything. For instance, I’m 6’0” and 305 and 54 years old, large frame, and an athlete of one sort or another since childhood. Care to take a guess at my labs?…Wrong!…Good BP, great resting heart rate, overall very low cholesterol, LDL & HDL in norm range, same with triglycerides. A1c at 4.5 and a healthy prostate. Not to say there aren’t things my doc and I work on but it’s a far cry from your doomsday scenario for ol’ Sean here. So stop practicin’ medicine on the interwebs and learn to do less harm. As for Ralphie May, he’s a fat tub of rancid lard, with an odd putrid smell about him. He’s a self-loather and is well practiced in the art.

You’re overweight. Period. Your life expectancy is greatly reduced by your excess weight. A man of 6 feet (large frame) should not weigh more than 188 lbs….I’d say 200 lbs max. Check it out yourself.

    http://www.healthchecksystems.com/heightweightchart.htm

PS At 305 lbs and 54 years old, you won’t hit 70 years unless you lose weight. I NEVER see elderly patients who are morbidly obese like you…..never. You need to lose 100 lbs. Yes, 305 lbs IS morbidly obese. Look it up.

Ditto!!! Mr. Hamilton will probably stroke out and be bedridden and die of either pneumonia or an infected sacral decub. Obese people always want to make one excuse or another. And dear Lord, I nearly rip my achilles every time I try to pull one of these fat fuc%er$ up in the bed….not to mention my uterus almost falling out on the floor!

Sorry to disappoint you folks but with a BMI just under 10, I’m more fit than any of you! Jules, that’s “body mass index”, You should look it up.

  • Jules

I actually hurt my back and was out of work for a few weeks after struggling to reposition a woman over 300 lbs every 2 hours who was sedated and on a ventilator. My doctor told me to NEVER sacrifice my own health for a patient. And, I won’t. I only have one back. And, why should I risk it for someone unwilling to take better care of themselves (like Mr. Allan Hamilton).

  • Miss Clairee

    Ditto!

  • Anthony Clay

yes but fat people are funny, i mean the way they eat there way to oblivion, if you push them the roll, they sweat when they walk, its all to funny, you mean the thought police have now said we cant laugh, You get a libtard medal first class now, bloomberg will present it when you get off your high horse

  • Jules

Sorry, but at 305 lbs, you do NOT have a BMI of under 10. A BMI of under 10 is severely underweight for a height of 6 feet and we know with a weight of 305 lbs, you are not underweight. In fact, you are very overweight and would be considered morbidly obese with multiple co-morbidities.

Here. Calculate your TRUE BMI. Don’t say I never gave you anything. LOL.

  • John (it true me am)

So going by what you said there is no problem with Ralphie May’s comment then?

Pro-tip: Celebrating the death of good people, not funny. Calling for the death of an idiot even one who celebrated the first deaths, not funny. It’s called a common standard. I’m not sure why you think being fat is even part of the real equation. The lines from you and Oleg up there are no different than the Islamist hypocrisy of “If you say we aren’t a religion of peace, we’ll kill you!”. In fact, it’s all but verbatim.

Sick of trying to set 14 year olds straight on the internet. And if you replied without even knowing the context of the original post(which is now deleted), then… wow, way to jump in without the slightest hint of facts.

P.S.: Oh. And yeah… The guy(which would be me) who said hold Obamacare responsible for its failings instead of blaming a random dude is clearly the liberal here. Ok then. You got the smurts.

  • Anthony Clay

srry rehab didnt work out for you, better luck next time you feeble loser, you, Ralph are both dregs, its extremely clear

  • Anthony Clay

I was referring to ralffie being at fattass, I had allready condemned him in my earliar comments which you didnt read, so no, the guys a fatass jerk loser, anyone who speaks poorly about the dead is scum, read through the comments before you post

  • John (it true me am)

Okaaaaaaaaay then. Looks like Jesse Jackson’s tweet has some competition.

  • John (it true me am)

(Not a direct reply to Michelle, but rather the topic in general, her post is just near the bottom of the real responses so tossing the reply here for ease.)

There’s an element here people are neglecting, and that’s personal choice. Sean, or anyone, has every right in the world to be overweight/obese or for that matter underweight and malnourished. Those in this thread who are jumping on him because of some notion he’s going to be a drain on the system are just completely out of line. (Seperate from those who have expressed interest in the topic as a personal health issue of course.) That sort of distinction is the heart of both communism and eugenics. Anyone who has a problem with his or anyone’s weight from that perspective should place the blame where it actually lies, socialist policies.

Does Obamacare and socialist health care system place the burden of all on everyone? Of course they do, but the fault is not the individual whose burden is being placed upon you, it is the fault of the system which is directing that burden!

Afterall, being elderly is a state that comes with countless health risks and most certainly places a burden on health care, should we all turn on those over 60 as well for the faults of Obamacare? Again, this is the path of eugenics.

And how many of those who cast such dispersions can honestly say they don’t have their own vices? Personally I’ve never had a drop of alcohol or smoked even once in my life, would it be right for me to call the rest of you burdens on me for probably engaging in such activities at least at some point?

  • Michelle

John – I understand your reply isn’t directed at me, but wanted to point out that I did not pass judgment on obese people. I don’t care what a person does with their body, it’s not my business. I address Sean’s claim that obese people aren’t a burden on the healthcare system. They absolutely are. That’s not a judgment, that’s a fact. If ya wanna be fat, then be fat. I could not care less. But don’t choose to be that way and also pretend you’re fit as a fiddle and see a Dr. only for an occasional check-up. That was my only point.
