‘Comedian’ Ralphie May on dead Okla. storm chasers: Sometimes God just cleans up the gene pool

I’ve always understood that in order to be a comedian, one has to be funny. My sons were watching this guy a while back on some awful show that was supposed to be a roast – I guess roasts are now about being vulgar – and nothing he said was even remotely amusing, let alone funny.

All liberals do is laugh and celebrate when somebody is killed, except for murderers themselves.

This talentless, unfunny, obese reality show contestant is talking about God cleaning up the gene pool? Woah. #irony

Wait, what? This guy calls himself a comedian and the best he can do is a “gene pool” joke? How impressively original. Aside from being inappropriate, it’s not even funny. We’ve all been hearing “gene pool” jokes since 3rd grade. On another note (and yes, I’m about to slap down a “gene pool” comment, but then…I don’t fancy myself a “comedian”), looking at the size of this man, looks like he needs to worry about his own gene pool and lay off recently deceased and respected people. No wonder he’s not a happy person.

Radical leftists have perfected the art of hiding disgusting personal and political invective by simply referring to it as “comedy” or “satire”. I’m not familiar with the show or these people, but if what they were trying to do is understand tornadoes to save people in the future, then the people calling them retarded should trying calling people in the military that to their face and see what happens.

Hey Ralphie-Did you ever see the Movie “Twister” with Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt? The Tornadoes they chased in that movie may have been “special effects,” but they were depicting what REAL PEOPLE DO, even to this day-study severe weather and Tornadic activity for the purpose of keeping people safe. I realize it may not be 100%effective, but warning times have increased three-fold since about 1995 (when the movie came out), and advanced Technology (Doppler Radar, Satellites, etc.) help us to “see” the movement and activity of the storms.

Granted, some are truly researchers, yet many are just thrill seekers trying to get some video footage to pay for the cost of not having a real job.

chasing this past Friday in El Reno, OK. These 3 men were not just
storm chasers, they were scientists, engineers with a passion for
storms, and who did research and made valuable contributions and
sacrifices for the good of people in the name of weather/science and
personal safety.

With all due respect Sean, there is a big difference between being overweight and being obese. It’s great that you are overweight and in perfect health (many people are), but obese people are not considered in perfect health, because they’re not. Their lives are at risk. Overweight people are not a burden on healthcare, but obese people absolutely are.

There is a difference, and I should clarify. I would technically be considered obese. I weigh 340. My life is not at risk. Sure, I cant go out and run a mile, but I wouldn’t even if I could. I refuse to believe that all obese people are a burden on health care. I pay for all my doctor visits up front, as do many of us who are obese. I do not see it as a disease, like many do. I brought it on myself, because I enjoy eating for the sake of eating. I can point out to you every restaurant in my city and tell you whether the food is good or bad. But it is not because I am sick, mentally or otherwise. Its just because I like good food, and I probably watched a little too much tv and played a few too many video games growing up.

Sean, you have your head in the sand and are in a tremendous state of denial if you think your life is not at risk. You need to lose weight……and no, you are not in perfectly good health if you weigh 340 pounds.

As an RN I believe I can make the following comment (and it’s not to hurt your feelings) : unless you are 8 feet tall there is no way that 340 lbs on you is a healthy weight. You are at high risk for diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, cancer, and many, many additional ailments and life threatening illnesses. You possibly already have an illness/ disease related to your morbid obesity. For your sake, I hope you start working on dropping the weight. When is the last time you saw an elderly (morbidly) obese person? Likely never. Life expectancy is considerably shortened by obesity. Fact.

And how do you presume to know my health?

Obesity is the major contributor to developing type II diabetes. If you’re not diabetic now, you probably will become diabetic. Hardening (atherosclerosis) of the arteries is 10 times more likely to be present in obese vs. non-obese people. Atherosclerosis is a major contributor to strokes and heart attacks. In other words, you can’t see them, but your arteries probably look like $hit. Obese men have a higher rate of prostate and colon cancer. Obesity reduces the body’s ability to transport blood through the vessels. And these are just a few problems associated with obesity. So Sean, don’t kid yourself. You’re not healthy. Get off Twitchy and go exercise. And yes, you are part of the healthcare problem in America. Obesity-related conditions cause over 300,000 premature deaths yearly and cost over 150 billion dollars each year. Lose weight, buddy!

Speak as an RN all day long but unless and until you see his records, you can’t assume anything. For instance, I’m 6’0” and 305 and 54 years old, large frame, and an athlete of one sort or another since childhood. Care to take a guess at my labs?…Wrong!…Good BP, great resting heart rate, overall very low cholesterol, LDL & HDL in norm range, same with triglycerides. A1c at 4.5 and a healthy prostate. Not to say there aren’t things my doc and I work on but it’s a far cry from your doomsday scenario for ol’ Sean here. So stop practicin’ medicine on the interwebs and learn to do less harm. As for Ralphie May, he’s a fat tub of rancid lard, with an odd putrid smell about him. He’s a self-loather and is well practiced in the art.

You’re overweight. Period. Your life expectancy is greatly reduced by your excess weight. A man of 6 feet (large frame) should not weigh more than 188 lbs….I’d say 200 lbs max. Check it out yourself.

PS At 305 lbs and 54 years old, you won’t hit 70 years unless you lose weight. I NEVER see elderly patients who are morbidly obese like you…..never. You need to lose 100 lbs. Yes, 305 lbs IS morbidly obese. Look it up.

I actually hurt my back and was out of work for a few weeks after struggling to reposition a woman over 300 lbs every 2 hours who was sedated and on a ventilator. My doctor told me to NEVER sacrifice my own health for a patient. And, I won’t. I only have one back. And, why should I risk it for someone unwilling to take better care of themselves (like Mr. Allan Hamilton).

(Not a direct reply to Michelle, but rather the topic in general, her post is just near the bottom of the real responses so tossing the reply here for ease.)

There’s an element here people are neglecting, and that’s personal choice. Sean, or anyone, has every right in the world to be overweight/obese or for that matter underweight and malnourished. Those in this thread who are jumping on him because of some notion he’s going to be a drain on the system are just completely out of line. (Seperate from those who have expressed interest in the topic as a personal health issue of course.) That sort of distinction is the heart of both communism and eugenics. Anyone who has a problem with his or anyone’s weight from that perspective should place the blame where it actually lies, socialist policies.

Does Obamacare and socialist health care system place the burden of all on everyone? Of course they do, but the fault is not the individual whose burden is being placed upon you, it is the fault of the system which is directing that burden!

Afterall, being elderly is a state that comes with countless health risks and most certainly places a burden on health care, should we all turn on those over 60 as well for the faults of Obamacare? Again, this is the path of eugenics.

And how many of those who cast such dispersions can honestly say they don’t have their own vices? Personally I’ve never had a drop of alcohol or smoked even once in my life, would it be right for me to call the rest of you burdens on me for probably engaging in such activities at least at some point?
