Jake Tapper’s #MemorialMessage hashtag a poignant start to holiday weekend

Sarah Palin recently noted that there’s “something different” about CNN’s Jake Tapper. Tapper, author of “The Outpost,” continued to distinguish himself from the media mainstream by kicking off the holiday weekend early with the #MemorialMessage hashtag. Tapper retweeted dozens of remembrances Friday evening and invited followers to carry on throughout the weekend, but not before sharing the names of some of his heroes.

There are far too many tweets to compile here, but it’s well worth following (and contributing to) #MemorialMessage this weekend.

Sgt. Nick Mason – killed 12/21/2004 in Mosul cafeteria suicide bombing. I never met him, but he was a close friend of my brother-in-law.

May he rest in peace. And may we never forget.

Men from my childhood: a D-day veteran and a lovely gentleman; a young man who died in Vietnam; and a third who served in Vietnam, another lovely gentleman.

Family: an uncle who served in WW2, in the Pacific, when he wasn’t even a citizen of the US. A great-uncle by marriage who survived Pearl Harbor.

To the Navy Seals who got Bin Laden, then perished in a helicopter crash, to the Benghazi 4 and Americans wounded there on September 11, and to all those who have lost their lives for our sake, from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, to today:
God Bless your for your sacrifice, and bless your families for theirs.
Keep America Free from entangling alliances and unnecessary wars.

Obama administration/Biden carelessly and illegally revealed the role of SEAL Team Six in Bin Laden raid, which cause the death of 25 U.S. Special Operations members of seal team six and five crewmen on Chinook helicopter crash in Afghanistan, on Aug. 6, 2011. As far as I’m concerned Obama and Biden are culpable for the death of these men. These men have done more for this country than neither of these two imbeciles(Oblamer/Biden). Kudos to seal team six who died that day!!!!
