Campaigner in chief: Faced with Benghazi and IRS scandal, Obama hits fundraising trail

Zing!

That’s right: When the going gets tough,  Obama goes fundraising.

Benghazi? IRS scandal? Whatever! President Campaigner has some sweet, sweet fundraising to do.

Bingo. The buck stops here … right behind this swanky dinner and glass of champagne.

Haha! Good one.

Forward!

    So sad

  • ObamaFail

If Obama would put as much effort into fixing our economy as he does rubbing elbows with his elitist wealthy liberal buddies, we’d be in great shape.

    • therantinggeek

      Wishful thinking, innit?

      • ObamaFail

Very wishful thinking. Better chance of the Titanic raising itself from the bottom of the ocean and finishing it’s maiden voyage then there is of Obama making a serious attempt at fixing our economy.

    • Garth Haycock

I don’t think his fixes for the economy would be for the best. I’d rather he just stay the hell out of the way.

      • rinodino

So why are y’all complaining? sthu and let him do his fundraisers but we know there is more to it, don’t we?

        • Garth Haycock

Why are we complaining? Because his policies are bad for the economy.

        • Professor Fate

Who exactly is the “we” you presume to speak for? What is the “more to it” you allege? Not falling back on the old political crutch known as the “race card” are you?

          • Adi

Maybe he meas there is “more” than The Messiah refusing to save an ambassador from rape and being murdered, from selling weapons to Mexican drug cartels and AlQ, from wiretaping the press and fiscally targeting political opponents.

Maybe there is more because all the above doesn’t seem to be enough.

        • TocksNedlog

The “more to it” involves wanting him to do the right thing, rather than (always!) doing the wrong thing.

      • rinodino

So why are y’all complaining? sthu and let him do his fundraisers but we know there is more to it, don’t we?

    • CR

No. No. No. Could NOT disagree more. Obama has no idea how to fix our economy. His “efforts” seem only to include taxing the “rich,” regulating successful businesses, investing in “green” energy companies, and another trillion dollar stimulus package.

For the love of all that is good, keep this guy busy with golf and Beyonce concerts for the next four years and AWAY from the economy. It is our only hope.

Everyone on either side of “the aisle” should be very upset with this all: the IRS targeting people (and random audit do not count, like I heard one reporter suggest this morning), our elected officials and their employees witnessing an attack on American citizens while choosing to do next to nothing, and the officials inability to properly address these issues.

I used to give the man the benefit of the doubt at times but now I am truly, truly upset & worried.

    • CatHerder

Hasn’t he had enough ‘benefits’ already? I guess he thinks he has to offset those super-fund-raisers at the GOP somehow, now that the IRS blew the whistle on him.

    • nc

AWinTX, I ask this with honest respect and no irony, but only from true curiosity: Did it take until now for you to become “truly, truly upset & worried” because you had previously been a true Obama believer? Or had you not been paying attention to politics at all? Or was it something else?

This has been an unanswered question for many for a long time. I know you can only speak for yourself, but still, it might help understand.

      • AWomaninTX

No, I am not a “believer”. I voted for Bush (both times), McCain & Romney. (On this site I previously shared how my Romney sign was vandalized.)

Yes, I pay attention to politics. (I am an avid C-Span watcher, as well as my local public access channels… because I understand the importance of “local politics”.)

I gave the man the benefit of the doubt because I was of the belief he was well intentioned but misguided.

I stated I was truly upset and scared because that is how I feel. I do not speak lightly WRT these issues. They are not a joke to me nor an opportunity to display my quick-wit. The notion that the government was unduly targeting law abiding citizens was something I once associated with conspiracy theories such as fluoride poisoning, “chem-trails” and the Bilderberg Group.

I hope that adequately addresses your query.

        • nc

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I hope you understand why I and some others commenting here are surprised that it took this long for you to become upset by BHO’s behavior, especially if you had been paying attention.

          • AWomaninTX

Do not assume I have not been upset with anything he has said or done before. That would be a mistake on your part. I was attempting to stay on topic by addressing the topic at hand in this piece.

I do not respond to all twitchy posts/threads, especially if someone has already “said” something along the lines of what I would. I only “speak up” here when I find it worthy. I am a busy person.

            And my best to you.

    • Joe W.

Well, if you used to give him the “benefit of a doubt”, you confirm to all that you are not a conservative. The man has NEVER said or done a thing that would benefit our nation. If you can name ONE, I’ll apologize.

      • AWomaninTX

I appreciate his stance on Gay Marriage, but I doubt that would count for you.

And seeing how your opinion of whether I qualify as a conservative or not does not matter to me, a position I have never claimed (that I am a conservative, that is), no apology is necessary nor desired by me.

        • Joe W.

If the only thing you gave him the benefit of a doubt on was gay marriage, you should have been worried for the last 8 years, had you really been paying attention. And how is gay marriage “good for the country”? You need to realize that the “democrats”, Barack Obama and all things liberal are NOT nice or good people. They are hell bent on destroying your country, and if you give them any “respect” benefit of a doubt, or any wedge at all, they will use it to further their cause. They are, in my view, enemies of the Republic. And we are at war with their ideology. Continue your “niceness” at your own peril, ma’am. THIS Texan will not.

          • AWomaninTX

I see you are very bad at twisting what people say and, again, have an issue with reading comprehension & assumptions.

Take care as best as you can.

    • Koker

I gave him the benefit of the doubt too during the 08 primary but only because I didn’t like Hillary…Then he opened his mouth and I smelled BullS**t so all doubt was resolved!

      • AWomaninTX

I did not vote for the man but he is the President of this country. I only want the best for this country and hoped that he did too. The movie “2012” was quite an eye opener for me.

        • Joe W.

So since he’s the President of the country, all is well with you until you watched a movie?? Pay attention, ma’am. With all due respect. Although, it really does not matter anymore. Liberals and folks like you who give them the “benefit of a doubt”, have allowed for the destruction of our once great nation. Thanks a lot.

          • AWomaninTX

Wow. You have a serious issue with assumptions and reading comprehension.

            Anyway… lol.

          • Joe W.

LOL all you wish, ma’am. I see nothing funny in the news today……

    • USAPatriotSC

We tried to tell you but you kept drinking the Kool-aid. Now you wake up from your stupor and are worried? Go back to sleep, you will just get in the way of us Patriots getting rid of the Muslim masquerading as our President.

      • AWomaninTX

        lol… okay.

  • http://blog.khelek.us Brian Johnson

I’m sure if 4 people, including an Ambassador over seas were being attacked and ultimately killed, he’d act differ….

    Those who can, lead.
Those who can’t, pull an Obama.

    • AWomaninTX

That was something that always struck my about President Bush: his ability to lead and choose a competent cabinet. Critics often bad-mouthed him for his reliance on his cabinet. But the fact that he had one he *could* rely on was always so impressive to me!

  • tops116

It’s a time of crisis for Obama, so he needs to visit his support group… who gives out money in exchange for hearing him talk about his problems.

  • WookieeCon

It’s all part of his laser like focus on jobs. Namely his job.

  • Garth Haycock

Obama is a cowardly liar who has never been accountable for his actions. It’s long past time that he have to deal with the consequences of his decisions.

Why not? The night Benghazi was happening, he was resting up for his foray in Vegas with losers Jayzoo and Beyotchoncé.

  • Orlando Cee

Other than playing golf, ruining the economy, or taking away our rights, what else does the imposter in chief know how to do?
    Yup, campaign.
Thank God we didn’t have the POS during the Cuban Missile Crisis–he would have gone to Vegas to raise money for his re-election!

Obama is not motivated by raising money,
he is a pathetic narcissist, motivated by the desire to be admired.
    Now his spineless and dishonest character has been exposed;
he is merely reaching out for affirmation from his disciples.

He is NOT stupid. Knows exactly what right wing buttons to push to get us angry. He also thinks that he’s invincible and NOTHING will touch him because he has adoring fans standing in the wings. Benghazi, Fast and Furious mean nothing to him.

Can anyone here say that it’s about time someone, anyone talked IMPEACHMENT?

Things the bo learns at these ‘fun’ raisers he attends with the actors, etc. How to cry on demand (shown today, when he cried for himself for getting caught re:Benghazi). Today’s lesson will be: How NOT to wet yourself when they pin you down and no amount of fast talking will get you out of the $hitstorm that’s coming. All important skills, these; for the leader of the free world.
