Crazy: Ice blob hits Minnesota and Manitoba [photos]

I don't know what an ice blob is, but I'm terrified.

So much for global warming, eh?

Residents and fishermen on Mille Lacs Lake are tweeting some crazy, amazing photos on the scene:

The ice blob into Manitoba, Canada as well:

Scary stuff. Prayers out to all those affected. Summer can’t come soon enough.

    Hopefully all this stuff will melt soon. It’s gonna be around 90° on May 14th here.

    Are we due in for another ice age? This is really weird.

    I saw this the other day. It was *really* windy here in MN. I don’t live as far north as Mille Lacs, but it was news all over. A strange combination of winter ending late made it so the ice was floating in the lake. Then, really high winds pushed the ice across to one side of the lake.

    1)During Hurricane season here, along the Atlantic/Gulf Coasts, it’s called “Storm Surge;” This is the winter equivalent.
    2)HEY ALGORE (one word not two, #RushLimbaugh), here’s your “GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE!” #RightWard Jawamax 8<{D}
    P.S.Edit-Anyone got a sled I can borrow? XD

    You have to REALLY love fishing to sit on an ice floe, dangle your feet in the near-freezing water, and drop your line.
