Liberal celebs Meghan McCain and Kristin Chenoweth whine about Sanford, gay marriage; Update: Polls show gay marriage not a top concern for most Americans

How cozy. Liberal MSNBC mouthpiece Meghan Meghan, posing as the spokesperson for Tolerant Young Republicans, got an attagirl from 40-something Hollywood starlet and Obama donor Kristin Chenoweth.

Conservatives reached for their barf bags.

Meggie Mac and K-Chen have been pals for quite a while now.

Funny thing about Mizzz McCain losing her marbles over cheater Mark Sanford’s marriage hypocrisy, though.

Yep. Like Mark Sanford, Sen. McCain was unfaithful to his (first) wife and also opposes gay marriage. He is, in other words, the archetype of the hypocritical Republican that McCain and Chenoweth say they despise.

Despite that, exit polling indicates that a lot of young people voted for Sen. McCain in his most recent Senate campaign:

vote by age

Admittedly, that was two and a half years ago. Attitudes about gay marriage have become more favorable since then.

If exit polls for the South Carolina CD-01 race are released, it will be interesting to see how Mark Sanford performed among young voters and whether gay marriage was a major consideration.

In any case, it seems clear most voters had other things in mind at the polls than the giggly Hollywood/lib GOP elite gal pals’ gay marriage obsession.

John McCain is so liberal that every time Prez Osama turns left he bumps into Sen McCain!

    • Well Done

McCain isn’t really liberal, just incoherent. It’s hard to tell those two factors apart.

  • descolada9

Meanwhile, gay marriage is so popular in Delaware that it had to be snuck through their senate on a close vote before the governor hurried scrawled his name to the legislation.

    • Well Done

So fun seeing the left claim 80% support for gay marriage when it failed with 60% against in California, fairly recently. I suppose that 80% comes from the same dark orifice in which the left found their 90% support for the gun laws the Senate voted down.

    • TugboatPhil

What? Gays had to be shoved in the back door? Again?

  • Cy

“Gawd, I’m like, SO totally a Republican because, like, I agree with Democrats all the time, and stuff. Republicans should totally, like, get with the twenty..uh, whatever millennium we’re in and, like, be like me. And junk.” And thus does Maggie justify her MSNBC paycheck for another few weeks.

    • Paulo Loreto Lim

It’s always amusing how MSNBC “advice” for Republicans is to be Democrats. Libs need to admit they want single-party totalitarian rule. Don’t think they would mind as long as there were free healthcare and open borders.

      • Well Done

oh yes, paulo, any time the Repubs don’t agree with the Dems the Repubs are being “obstructionist”. and of course Repubs who agree with Dems are “moderates”. No word on what a “moderate” Dem would look like… probably Che Guevera.

        • Kathy

          Racist. Mathews says we’re racist.

Chris Matthews demands free Vodka martinis too, if he gets to be in a totalitarian society with his boy Barack.

    • v1cious

After the way you guys threw Christie and Rubio under the bus, it’s hard to believe you can compromise on anything.

      • Cy

So just to clarify, we’re using the left wing definition of “compromise” which means “do whatever the Democrats want”, right? Because that’s what Rubio’s immigration betrayal is. Amnesty without securing the borders is what the Dems want and what conservatives don’t want. We didn’t throw Rubio under the bus, he threw everyone who voted for him under the bus.

  • Garth Haycock

    McCain and who?

    • Jeremy

Yeah I have no idea who Kristin Chenoweth is

      • Axelgreaser

McCain is a name dropper. Chenoweth is a big noise on Broadway who apparently hangs with air-headed beer heiresses.

      • Kathy

I knew her, but had no idea that Meghan was John McCain’s daughter. I have never heard her name before.

  • praymorenow1

The result should make McCain & Hollywood happy then…stupid GOP, just going duh…& voting for a dirtbag like Sanford. Not like voting for a fine upstanding man like Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, or Mayor Tony Vilar of Los Angeles (his real name, not the one he made up)….. Seriously, most Republicans can’t stand Sanford. Sadly, the GOP in SC didn’t put up a better figure, it should have been 90% to 10%….and Sanford beat a newcomer to a statewide election. Darnit. I’m a Republican, & I can’t stand the guy, nor his ‘look at me’ wife to be.
But, Sanford did not run on social issues…he talked about his screwed up life a lot, and he ran on fiscal issues….& issues dear to the district, not much else.
He won because a lot of Republicans detest Nancy Pelosi and Rangel in leadership roles, more than a slimeball like Sanford as a 1 term Congressman.
Moreover, I am sure as soon as all of the EU nations vote to support gay marriage, the USA will already have done so by the Supreme Court rulings to come. Get over yourself….. WE decided abortion 40 years ago or so….and see how we all agree on that today!

    • Robby Gregg

Yeah im from sc Sanford wasn’t the best choice but we dont need another pelosi haha

  • Axelgreaser

LOL! Someone above referred to Meghan McCain as a ‘conservative.’ And worse, as a ‘conservative who ‘happens to like gays.’ As if conservatives look upon gays a lepers. That is the Gay ‘Bundling’ Mafia-Obama, Axelrod & Holder propaganda, perpetuated by nit wits like Ms. McCain. Anyway, a plea to ‘Super Blogger Wannabe’ in the tradition of Michelle Malkin, Meghan McCain, who btw will NEVER be a Michelle Malkin, not even in her wildest stoner dreams. Ms. McCain, GO AWAY! You’ll have to once your father is out of the picture anyway as you’ve got nothing. Go fulfill your destiny as a beer heiress, whatever comprises that situation. Haunting Lane Bryant’s, ‘whateeeever.’ Shopping for halter tops you shouldn’t be wearing. Complete your metamorphosis into one big jiggling, monstrous breast. Or make the leap head on into politics which is your secret ambition, correct? Because at your (advancing) age you already show promise as a future ad libber of classic Democrat jaw-droppers as: “We have to sign the bill, to see, uh, (grimace) what is in it, above the, a…the fog of confusion.” Followed by lip-smacking, raking your tongue over your teeth and blinking like a mule in a sand storm. With your unique gift for spontaneously stupid observations, you could begin right now as protege to Nancy Pelosi. And ‘come out.’ As a Democrat. Do it AA style: “Hi, I’m busty, (looking down) Oh! Hahahaha! Are they hanging out? Uh, where was I, …uh, I’m ditzy over-bleached Meghan McCain and I’m a Democrat.”

Anyway, thanks girl, we’re so over you.

Scroll through any thread about gays (or even Hillary) on this site, or any hard right site for that matter (newsbusters, the blaze…), and then come back and say you honestly believe that statement.

  • MarcusFenix

If it wasn’t for the fact that Meg McCain has a really nice rack, I wouldn’t even bother paying attention. And even that is fleeting and doesn’t hold my attention long because she’s just not that great otherwise. And I couldn’t pick the other woman out of a line-up, if my life depended on it….that’s how important she is to me.

I know that makes me sound like a jerk, but at least I’m being honest.

    • DavidKramer

Remember when she got all outraged after she posted a pic of her rack? She got all miffed when folks said HEY, Meghan is showing off her brains again.

      • MarcusFenix

I do remember that…was good for a laugh. She’s an attractive woman, but her personality and all of the other BS just destroys it for me.

        • Blake Waymire

In total agreement here. A decent body can only take a woman so far.

    @meghanmccain Been there. It’s called Tweeting While Female.— Clare O’Connor (@Clare_OC) May 8, 2013

Lot of angst in these messages. You guys can harp on these women and bash all you like but gay marriage is coming to a state near you and you know it.

why do you THINK I call Veruca McCain Meghan Boo Boo?

  • kateorjane

You have to wonder why it is too difficult for the gay/lesbian cartel to realize that few people – other than them – see their issue as the ground shaker. Even those who might support them can be driven off by the whining and sense of over importance.

  • Casey Kivelä

No, young people don’t vote GOP because the Libs give away free stuff and don’t require them to work for it.

  • Melanie Oberg

Sounds like Meghan and her friend are batting for the other team…..

    • therantinggeek

…and whiffing almost every time they’re in the box. What’s their average, near zero or something like that?

  • Kristy Patullo

Celebrities are obsessed with gay marriage. The rest of us, not so much. Used to be a fan of Kristin Chenoweth. Not anymore. Anyone who is a friend of Meghan McCain’s is not someone I want to follow. That girl is the opposite of conservative. She does not speak for conservatives, she speaks for RINO’s. Conservatives don’t give a shit what she has to say. She spotlights her ignorance with every tweet.

  • Lisa 670

I have a feeling that the gay marriage agenda circus will shortly take a back seat with young people when all that is coming with Obamacare and the economy hits them squarely in the face. When you are drowning it is hard to worry about anything else but air! And as far as these crazy left wing dingbats like McCain and Chennowith, I let my channel changing finger and my wallet do the talking. If people did that more instead if sucking off the hollywood teat because they can’ t entertain themselves, then these people would be too busy trying to survive instead of using the money they make off of the public to spit in our faces and ridicule our values.

  • Jen

As a young voter, I couldn’t care less about gay marriage one way or the other. Red Herring. Focus. Economy.

  • notenoughtime

The same talking points used over and over a vote to keep traditional marriage the norm means you hate gays. It is impossible to have an intelligent debate because the juveniles have hijacked the discussion and MM is a willing participant and pawn. In most household, the cost of existing in this country is at the top of the list well before social issues. Pres. O’s supporters prefer to keep the discussion away from the dismal economy and lack of jobs and keep the hate train going.

    • Rulz

A lot of the juveniles are straights who just want to make a name for themselves.

  • arttie

The hey girl airhead chat makes me want to stick a finger down my throat.

    • Dee

Or rather “gag me with a spoon” lol

  • HannahJK

Her logic is flawed. I wouldn’t hesitate to vote for a gay person if I thought they were the best person for the job. That vote wouldn’t represent support of gay marriage.

    • Hiraghm

Exactly. I’d vote for a schizophrenic if I thought he was the best man for the job, for example. We need to start respecting the mentally ill.

  • John Kerry’s Forehead

Do you think Pew mixed up the order of choices in the poll question or used same order for every person polled? That matters.
