Shameful: Campaigner in chief pushes immigration reform at Bush Center dedication [video]

Oh no he di’n’t!

Oh yes he did.

The campaign that never ends continued today on the stage at the dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Center. As always, it’s all about President Obama and his agenda.

Dedication of his predecessor’s library? Sweet opportunity to plug immigration reform.

So that’s his big pitch? Pass immigration reform because Bush? Put on your shocked face.

The Bush Center celebrated the gathering of five U.S. presidents as a “great American moment.” Leave it to Obama to shift the attention to him with shameless and shameful politicking.

  • anthonybgonzalez

    for f****s sake

  • ElizCM

Anybody else notice Barack had to nudge Michelle after the national anthem started to put her hand over her heart? You’d think after it happening so many times she’d learn by now… classless

    • Billie Slash

Hey, she was eyeballing the punch and pastries…..

    • stellatruman

both of them…like you said, classless

  • Jefferson Tea Party

Ok, I couldn’t stomach to watch because the SCOAMF was there. But, I heard that he didn’t clap after the Battle Hymn of the Republic, like everyone else? True? Should I reset my outrage meter? It’s been pegged for a while.

    • namdor62

Actually, he did applaud at the end. But he was chatting up Barbara during most of the song.

      • Jefferson Tea Party

I’m sure she enjoyed every second of it. /sarc

  • Steve_J

Isn’t his immigration plan not that much different than Bush’s?

    • joated

May be. (And Bush’s plan wasn’t exactly greeted with open arms.) But this was neither the time nor place to bring it up.

      • $24698634

Why not? It seems exactly the place to bring it up since presidential libraries are about legacies. If immigration reform (whatever the final version) passes, wiil GWB not deserve some of the credit for championing the issue during his presidency? Especially considering much (not all) of the rest of GWB’s legacy sucks.

    • Pam

If so, whats the problem with the Republican blocking it?

      • Steve_J

It was a lousy bill when Bush was pushing it and it’s a lousy bill now. The Republicans blocked it then and should block it now.

  • Michelle

Bush’s expression at the end of the video – I’m going to go with he was thinking what I was thinking, and that was, “Are you f*cking kidding me? Does this dude EVER let something not be about him?”

    • Elaine

douche – a word to describe an individual who has shown themself to be very brainless in one way or another.

Never understood calling someone a DOUCHE until now. Obama, what DOUCHE! And what was that crack from Clinton about “Re-writing history?” Another DOUCHE.

    • Michael Anderson (WB)

I’m not sure that’s what that face was about. He was squinting into the sun, and I’m not sure he’s very comfortable with applause.

      • Michelle

He wasn’t facing the sun. .

    • Susan Kaness

I caught the look on his face and thought the same thing!

    • Scott Carroll

Yeah, what he did was tantamount to blowing out the candles on someone else’s birthday cake.

He’s got cantaloupe sized balls, I’ll give him that. In fact, they’re so big Michelle needs an extra large purse just to carry them around.

  • 24fan

I was wondering what’s he doing there at all? Can’t he get out of the spot for once
    . Nooooo.

  • Spatial Awareness

    Smarmy is as Smarmy does.

  • RblDiver

“President Bush, imma let you finish, but immigration reform’s the biggest topic of all time! OF ALL TIME!”

    • Steve ChenRobbins

I didn’t want to laugh at this, but I did…

  • Dee Dunbar

nobody but the illegals want the damn plan! sick of not having WE the People heard!

    • Pam

Too bad “We the People” aren’t heard about gun control.

      • JayJCee

I can’t believe the poor taste shown in this comment.

      • journogal

Are you unaware there are all ready laws on the books? What do you think about Chicago, with some of the strictest laws regarding guns and their high murder rate? Why do you want to punish law-abiding citizens for what criminals do?

        Or abortion

      • Man of Little Means

        Or abortion

      • plumberskid

We the people have been heard…didn’t you hear?

    • bigkahuna9

Not true democrats want these undocumented voters. That is all this is about

  • CO2 Producer

Shorter Obama: “If you’re going to hate me for my push for immigration reform, you’ll have to hate Bush, too. He started it!”

Unfortunately, he has a point, but this wasn’t the time to make it.

  • grais

Who’s more inappropriate, Bill Clinton or Barack Obama?
gaad, where do these classless egomaniacs come from?

    • rivers

Neither one of them had a father in the picture who taught them how to be a man of grace and dignity, there is that, (…and cue the indignant outrage of the professionally politically correct for saying that out loud….)

      • grais

I think you’re right about that. And both had mothers who overcompensated for that by teaching them that they’re oh-so-much-more-special than everyone else. The mothers didn’t teach them about grace, dignity, or humility, either.
        What a shame for America

  • rivers

And yet a reporter asked G.W. a question this morning that seemed to designed to set Bush up to criticize Obama in the wake of the terrorist attack in Boston. Bush didn’t take the bait. Wouldn’t criticize a sitting President. Because he has class, dignity and respect for the office, no matter what he may think of the man.

    • mickeyco

I miss him more every second. I didn’t always agree with him, but, as you say, we had a president with class, dignity and respect for the presidency. Now we have a narcissistic SOB without class, dignity or respect for the presidency or the American people.

      • BlahBlah

I loved Bush while he was in office. Terribly unpopular opinion back in the day. He was never as bad as the media made him out to be.

      • Vennoye

I didn’t always agree with him either, but you ALWAYS knew he loved this country! He had enough class to not lower the office of the President to get into a brawl with the MSM which excoriated him…often unfairly!!
Obama has NO class, period. Anytime anyone expects him to exhibit any, they are always going to be disappointed!!

    • Scott Carroll

Hey remember that time Bush gave that speech at the Clinton Presidential Library and name-dropped Monica Lewinsky and also used it as a platform to push the Patriot Act? Yeah, I don’t either. Stay classy Preezies Obama and Carter!

      • rivers

Hahahahahahahahahaha – Oh, thank you, I enjoyed that.

    • Scott Carroll

Hey remember that time Bush gave that speech at the Clinton Presidential Library and name-dropped Monica Lewinsky and also used it as a platform to push the Patriot Act? Yeah, I don’t either. Stay classy Preezies Obama and Carter!

  • Tucker Latham

I am daily amazed at the extraordinarily low quality of Obama’s character. Every time he’s allowed to speak, he reveals another layer of foulness.

    • BlahBlah

He is only gonna get worse as he continues to unravel.

  • neoface

What! Obie didn’t also push his dead gun control bill?

  • rinodino

Well at least he is working and not taking a vacation lol…..again no outrage when Carson began his presidential run at the prayer breakfast for Gods sake #selective

    • NRPax

If Carson actually had begun a presidential run at the prayer breakfast, you would have a point. But once again, you have failed. Keep trying though!

And for your benefit, here’s the transcript of the speech. Where does he say anything about political ambitions?

    • therantinggeek

If anyone around here is #selective, that would be you, old boy. :)

    • 3seven77

Obama was working? Well, I guess there’s a first time for everything.

  • CatHerder

Not surprised much, if this knothead goes to a wedding he wants to be the bride.

    • Orlando Cee

I’ve heard he swings that way…

      • Pam

Can’t believe the poor taste shown in this comment.

    • NRPax

I’m sending you the bill for the vodka that will be required to rinse that image out of my head.

  • DorothyGrissom

Obama once again proves he has no clue and no class.

  • Orlando Cee

Obama=a pile of crap wearing a suit.

  • Gallatin

That’s fine, I hope at obowmao’s library dedication a future President remarks about what a mess obowmao care is and his efforts to get rid of it.

    • Clayton B

lol…Obama’s library? Where every book is available on teleprompter . . . he’ll have a golf course dedicated in his name before a library.

      • Gallatin

You are so right. If he does have a library it will just have pictures of “the one” at famous places—like the one where he is sitting in Rosa Park’s seat on the bus.

      • bigkahuna9

They will have sections dedicated to his Kenyan homeland, NCAA picks, horrible basketball shooting, his sissy pitching, bad golf swing, a garden worked by others just like the WH, Benghazi murders, fast and furious gun running video games, his no balls piece prize, a bath house wing for fun, a and a welfare, foodstamps and national debt rooms that are always expanding. There will also be a room for visitors to ignore the 3 am phone call and one where you learn to blame everyone else and never take responsibility for your actions.

  • Christopher Silva

Obama has ZERO class! Unbelievable disrespect at this event!

  • Amy Keating Casey

Pathetic, completely arrogant, shameful and so selfish. This man is completely self absorbed!!!!!

  • Billie Slash

As we say in Dallas, “Bless his heart”!
    /epic sarc

    • Vennoye

      I’m way beyond that one!!

    • Pam

    What a fucking narcissist!!!!!

  • Sonya A. Willis

I wish I couldn’t be shocked anymore by his lower-than-low class behavior but…

  • radjahshelduck

I wouldn’t be the slightest bit surprised if when the topic of speakers for this event came up, among those responsible for the invitations there was at least one person who said “Hey, you know if we invite the current President he will give a purely political speech, don’t you?” And the response from the others on whatever committee it was went: “Of course Obama will do that. But if we decide not to invite him, the press will jump all over us as being classless and partisan. So we need to invite Obama as the lesser of two evils. Better to have him show and be classless and partisan than to not invite him and be accused of being classless and partisan ourselves.”

    • Brenda Day Cherry

You know, radjahshelduck, that makes a lot of sense.

    • John Wilkinson

It’s a case of being between a rock and a hard place.

  • ceemack

We expected dignity, class and restraint from President Poopypants? Surely not.

  • Bolt Upright

Ever wonder why Obama always has his head so high and throat so aligned, so straight. It’s like he is preparing to swallow a sword. Or swallow something. It’s like he is ready for something long and hard shoved down his throat?

    • mickeyco

      Who’ll provide the sword? Please.

    • Michelle

One thing is for sure, whatever it is he’s preparing to swallow, we know it will never be his pride.

  • JR

There goes Obama using this platform as a reason to push immigration reform. It was all about Obama again. Why does he continue to campaign? I miss George W. Bush. Say what you will about him, but he is a Patriot and loves this country.

  • Andy Trimble

Um. We do need to fix our broken immigration system. Bush did try to get it fixed. Sometimes, just shut up, Michelle.

    • hotcocco

We already have an immigration policy. All we have to do is enforce it. No need for more gobbledee goup.

  • releggneh

What an arrogant SOB, constantly pushing his agenda. Has no class and no respect!

    • Pam

      Isn’t he continuing Bushs plan?

  • MurphTacular

Why shouldn’t he? Obviously, immigration reform is something that W. tried but couldn’t get done … Seems appropriate to mention a way that he’s trying to further 43’s agenda. Does everything have to outrage this group? LOL.

  • hotcocco

WHY, WHY, WHY was he even invited ????

  • froggy19510

Shameful: Campaigner in chief pushes immigration reform at Bush Center dedication.

Why would expect anything different? That no class pig has no shame.

I don’t don’t know why people would expect this guy too act like a civilized person. He was raised to be a Communest, lived in a mud hut, and ate dogs. He hates the United States and has total distaine for our traditions and way of life. He is trying to destroy this country and people. His goal is to make the United States a slave to the EU.

If Obama wins Congress and holds on to the Senate he will have every thing he wants without opposition.

  • Don Kenner

And what, pray tell, would you expect the campaigner in chief to do? It’s always about himself and his agenda.

  • Ray Stone

The Great Lord O has NO CLASS. He wants everything to be about him. They should have cut off the mic when he went into the stump speech. This is not the time nor place for this crap. Why is he still on the campaign trail anyway?

    • Pam

Didn’t he credit Bush with getting things going 7 yrs ago?

  • JustLikeAnimals

Hussein is a total classless tool. What a loser. Always campaigning and self-aggrandizing.

It’s all good because, if I’m not mistaken, GW dissed Michelle “I need a forklift to move my big ass” Obama in his remarks. I heard him thank Hillary for her service. Then he said “Mom and Laura, you know how I feel.” Then he went on to other comments. Did I miss a nod to “the grandiose one”?

    • JustLikeAnimals

Dude. Take your Prozac and read this from the Washington Times commenting on your love interest:

“…He’s an inch deep. Bush is a bottomless chasm, a deep, mysterious, emotional, profound man. Obama is all surface — shallow, obvious, robotic, and, frankly, not nearly as smart as he thinks. Bush was the one.”

The person who made those comments is a hardcore Democrat.

The fact is (and yesterday’s event in Dallas proved it) Obama is a classless idiot. Look at the people in that stage. Obama is clearly out of place. Not for his race. It’s because of his lack of class, humility, conviction, intellect, character, and integrity. Pick something, any quality of character that defines those who held the office before him, and your poor excuse for a leader just doesn’t measure up. He’s a fraud, a fake, a conman, and a huckster, who has created an electoral base out of government giveaways. It’s the truth, and if you can’t handle that, they make a pill for that, too.

Now crawl back into your mother’s basement, drink the rest of your Kool-Aid, and relax. Matthews is up next on MSNBC and he’ll make it all better.

  • Jefferson

George W. Bush is also pro-amnesty, so I doubt he was upset.

  • Beverly Knight Mccollum

Bet Obama will use the funeral services for those in Waco for his agenda too! Will be sad to watch!

  • NumbuhOne

Obama is like a school on Saturday – No Class.

  • Guest

I’m just surprised Michelle Obama didn’t say, “All this for a damn library” … or something.

  • notenoughtime

Wake me up when this nightmare is over.

  • Joseph Patarino

    • R0nin

I agree, but WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING?!?

  • Joe Tuley

There is nothing nice about Obama ,so there!!!

Here’s some truth that Obama does Not deal with:

…“It is this world, a world where cruise ships
throw away more food in a day

than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a

where white folks’ greed runs a world in need,

apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another

That’s the world! On which hope sits!”-Barack

  • tarandfeatherthecrooks

When obama has his library dedicated it will be for all subjects up to seventh grade (especially math).

  • Jedd McHead

Obama was an amateur walking into the Office and four and a half years of “on the job training” has had no affect on him.

  • Jedd McHead

Obama was an amateur walking into the Office and four and a half years of “on the job training” has had no affect on him.

  • Jess Ryan

He is a disgrace to our nation and to all of us here in this country. The only reform there should be is that they are required to go through the proper proceedure like so many that did it right coming into this country. The rest can be rounded up and deported!!

  • G.

Instead of leading the byline with “shameful”, the author should had simply said: “As normal..the POS of the US (AKA POSUS) campaigned/spoke on matters unrelated to the event, fully believing he and his socialist views to be more important.”

  • plumberskid

Who’s bright idea was it to let this hack speak in the first place?

  • Taum

Why does the term narcissist come to mind?

  • Kellie Warren

If you notice, President Bush DID NOT clap when others did and seems like he almost looks at Laura as if to ask “What the hell are you clapping about?”

  • Frank Smiles

People are going to start yawning when Obama gets the mike. On both sides. By the way, how is that Obamacare opt-out going, Nancy and Harry? We understand Boehner isn’t falling for your selfish little effort at exemption for Dems, even if you did disguise it as a treat for all members of Congress. What a pathetic pair of carpetbaggers.

  • Twolff

    Its ALWAYS about him.

  • Donna W

I sure miss President Bush. But I really miss Mrs. Bush, the First Lady. She’s full of style and grace – a class act. Barbara is full of pepper n vinegar, I love her. I really miss Laura Bush :)

  • Michael Anderson (WB)

Your last few posts have been about wishing Obama was dead. Sounds like it’s time to get your dosage checked. We may disagree with him at every level, but the office deserves respect.
