I’m guessing wind. Single-engine Cessnas are easy to fly, especially the 172. Strong wind can really hit them hard, though.

I’m 200 miles west of there. We had some really strong, gusty winds all day. Tornado warnings were being issued from Lynchburg and points east of there today.

    Williamsburg Landing?

Probably a subdivision name. I used to live not far from there and don’t remember that one, but they have built a lot up that way in the last 15 years.

I was being too esoteric I guess. Trying not to make light of a man dying in a plane crash in a place named Landing.

OK. It must be the weather. It sailed right over my head.
