Ha! ‘Tough guy’ David Sirota changes douchey Twitter avatar in response to #Siroting meme

Bahahaha! Also, bahahahaha!

Some tough guy! Looks like David Sirota didn’t like the hilarious #Siroting mockery of his douche-tastic avatar after the Twitterverse spotted his “Let’s hope the Boston Marathon bomber is a white American” column. The Sirotae punch avi is no more.

Evidently this one is supposed to be the non-douchey avatar.

David Sirota

But once again, the race-baiting whiner is wrong. The “primary criticism” of Sirota’s Salon column wasn’t that his avatar was super douchey.

Bingo! The mockery of Sirota’s avatar was just for fun.

David, you can change your avi, but the Internet remembers:

New avatar, same ol’ Sirota.

Here’s an avatar to consider, David:

Sitoring…. the Day After…… Why don’t they like me anymore?

  • Mark81150

There is something particularly creepy about a skinny rich white liberal pompously whining about “white privilege”, in a mag website with a virtually all white staff,… Does he even know anyone who isn’t white other than the security people or sandwich and coffee venders?

I’ve discovered when you live next door to minorities, their kids and yours get along and play together just fine, it’s a divisive schmuck like this clown who inject anger into everything… and others like him.

    • NRPax

Odd thing is that when I was growing up, I never really noticed the skin color of the kids I was playing with. And our parents always encouraged that attitude. Funny that…

“Odd thing is that when I was growing up, I never really noticed the skin color of the kids I was playing with. And our parents always encouraged that attitude.”

Your parents encouraged ignorance, and you’re now proud of it? I don’t think that’s odd at all.

        • NRPax

OK, editing my response on the outside chance I misinterpreted your statement:

My parents and the parents of the kids I played with did not encourage ignorance. They encouraged us to play together and not to act as if ethnicity was a big deal. And yes, I’m quite proud of the fact that ethnicity of people is a non issue to me, in part because of that upbringing.

        • CherDash

@facebook-100003799320251:disqus: @NRPax:disqus was saying just the opposite.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Tucker-Latham/100003799320251 Tucker Latham

NRPax wrote “… I never really noticed the skin color of the kids I was playing with.” Not that it didn’t factor into decisions whether or not to play with those children, not that it did not trigger a prejudice born of ignorance, but that color was not “really” noticed. That this is indicative of “just the opposite” of ignorance strikes me as an obviously false claim.

I thank you for attending my reading comprehension class, “Words Mean Things” edition. I look forward to educating you further.

I “really [notice]” the difference in color between a green and red traffic light, which prevents me from ignorantly committing vehicular manslaughter. Since I also “really noticed” the skin color of my childhood friends, I submit I shall have much better luck than NRPax should we both seek reunion therewith.

WTF … I feel stupid for having read this.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Tucker-Latham/100003799320251 Tucker Latham

And I feel like I have just stumbled into the comment section of some Huffington Post page. All that their commenters can do is insult people with whom they disagree, as well.

          • NRPax

OK, back to the original statement.

You’re so adorable, I’m betting we see you as the next Disney Princess.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Tucker-Latham/100003799320251 Tucker Latham

What association do you represent? Are their members required to reply to comments as though they were directed toward themselves?

    • rivers

The creepy thing about it is it seems indicative of some kind of self-loathing fetish.

    • http://extremesplash.wordpress.com/ Ben Bollman

Exactly, the majority of racism comes from the left because they constantly bring it up and constantly cast people in these racial roles. A lot of people buy into this stuff put out by the left that whites are supposed to hate blacks and blacks are supposed to hate whites so they act out the roles given to them. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy. It’s all Saul Alinsky tactics of creating divides and conquering.

    • CR

I would wager that a good portion of the readers of Salon (assuming that there are any) are also WHITE. Which would make it a virtual impossibility that his mailbox is full of people of color, unless those colors are white, whiter and whitest.

      • Tom Anderson

I regret that I have but one ^ to give to this post!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Marcy-Cook/1001619613 Marcy Cook

“my email box is filled with 2 kinds of emails: White people invoking the
n-word, and people of color thanking me for writing the piece.”

White people using the n-word? Nutjob? Nobody? Narcissist? What’s wrong with that?

  • Sua Sponte

David who?…All these progs do is come out and make some “edgy” statements to make themselves relevant….FAIL.

  • anonymouse

I don’t believe a word he whines about his inbox contents. He’s a pathological race baiter. Denver, you can do better. Maybe Diana DeGette or Joe Salazar, those war on women waging far left loony libs would speculate better about the identity of the Boston bomber. Nah, they’re probably rubbing crystals hoping the same as Dumba** Dave.

  • kayakingfatso

With all that eyeliner, he looks like an emo turd.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Pad-Dar/100002515504977 Paulette Anne Rockir

    He’s a #Communist agitator.

We used to rid America of #Commies , now we make ‘fun’ of them.

  • Rob Stevely

I dont think Ive ever favorited so many posts in a single day as I have after reading the #Siroting saga.

  • BorderLine Guy

    Sirota’s got Blue Steel nailed.

    • Bristel

      Or is it Magnum?

  • RblDiver

We need #Sirotingthesecond : People looking into the camera with a drunk/stoned “I don’t know what’s going on” face.

  • Jack Deth

If you have gray hair. Shouldn’t you have stopped acting and looking like an ass bag at least two decades ago?

  • alostjunkie

Yeah, right, he has white calling him the n’word ’cause you know, he’s keeping it real. Give me a friggin’ break. He cemented his place in history as the biggest douche ever. He’s now trying to give himself credit from the “people of color” for the bullshit piece he wrote, truly pathetic.

  • http://twitter.com/die_mich_zwei Spatial Awareness

That didn’t take long! Aaahahahahahah!!! XD I love Twitter after dark!

  • rivers

“Come on guys, leave me alone, I was totally going to change it anyway!”

  • Guest

He’s on Twitter today listing “white domestic terror” incidents…using Tim Wise as a source.

  • traffic_robot

So what Sirota is saying is that her also segregates his inbox?

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Tucker-Latham/100003799320251 Tucker Latham

      [applause] Well done. :)

  • VerminMcCann

So that’s what he was doing in that picture: practicing the gay little punches that he uses to knock over strawmen.

  • wwbdinct

Right! We all totally believe your e-mail is full of racist white people and people of color so grateful that YOU, of all people, are there to protect them. Because all these white people e-mailed you and wrote “I’m a white racist”… This moron and that other self-loathing whack job Marcotte need to be married and have NO children.

  • TocksNedlog

Nothing but deflection. The “primary” criticism was the photo? Liar.
    Race-baiting liar.
    Race-baiting racist liar.

Oh, and making the ‘white rednecks attacked, while blacks said “right on, brother!”‘ claim is incredible in itself.
    And racist.
“Hey everybody, I claimed that there will always be a racial divide, and racists on both sides came along to prove my point!”
You’re a heckuva human being, Mr. Sirota.
    Yes you are.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Tucker-Latham/100003799320251 Tucker Latham

“Hey everybody, I claimed that there will always be a racial divide, and racists on both sides came along to prove my point!”

That’s an astute observation / interpretation!

  • Leroy Whitby

Wow. He’s like a high school girl that doesn’t know she can’t sing . . . on stage.
