Unreal: Carney says Obama ‘does not and cannot’ take position on Gosnell

President Obama always seems to have something to say. But when it comes to the ongoing trial of alleged baby murderer Kermit Gosnell, he’s suddenly gone silent.

That’s Press Secretary Jay Carney’s story, anyway, and he’s sticking to it. When Fox News’ Ed Henry asked if the president has been following the story and has any comments, Carney had this to say:

“The president does not and cannot take a position on an ongoing trial.”

Typical weaselly response from a typical weasel. What a perfect Obama spokesman.

Video of the exchange, via LifeNews:

According to Carney, “the president’s position on choice is very clear.” That part’s true, at least. As a state senator, Obama voted against Born Alive bills four times.

Carney also insisted that the president believes in “the basic principle that … abortions ought to be safe, legal, and rare.” If that’s really true, Obama should have no issue weighing in on the Gosnell case. What allegedly took place in Gosnell’s house of horrors was neither safe nor legal.

Why can’t the president comment, Jay? Is the case too local or something?

Ah.

And so has this pathetic, shameful excuse for an administration. What a disgrace.
