Anthony Weiner's oh-so-perceptive brother: 'There was definitely a douchiness about him'

The best quote in the New York Times Magazine’s snooze-inducing puff piece on perv Anthony Weiner comes near the end. This deep insight is from his brother:

Ya think?

But Weiner’s not “really” a douche anymore and should definitely be the next mayor of New York City! The “hard to take” Weiner is gone, says his brother.

But nearly everyone who cares about Weiner says that pugilistic political persona long ago bled into his personal life and made him “hard to take,” as his brother Jason puts it. “I wouldn’t stand for other people saying this about him, but there was definitely a douchiness about him that I just don’t really see anymore.”

Quite an endorsement.

The liberal media loves their deviant, amoral, criminal and racist politicos…oh, and the ‘douchie’ ones.

    • Clayton Grant

It’s hard to tell the douchie ones from the common, everyday pervy ones.

      • bidentime

No, the douchie ones are labeled Weiner.

      And the Muslim ones

      • GoSellCrazySomeplaceElse

How could I forget they’re lovin’ them some muslims, too. Sorry.

      • oconnellc

No kidding. Dontcha just hate all those religious people?

        • Catchance

Just a wild guess here… you’re not talking about the ones who force their wives to wear burqas, who insist on foot baths in school, who require they be allowed to stop traffic while they pay obeisance to Allah twice a day, who insist the TSA can’t search below their necks, who shout ‘Allahu Akhbar’ as they kill someone who disagrees with them… *those* ‘religious’ people? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

          Speaking of douches.

“We’re liberals, and we hate the War on Women… unless it’s being carried out by Muslims. In which case, political correctness demands that we support them. Go Sharia Law!”

I know, amirite? By the way, Michelle talks about the TSA in her book and in her latest appearance on FOX. You should rent the DVD. But first, buy her book. Buy two.

By the time liberal media are done reinventing this goober, he might as well have bolts in his neck.

      Or in other parts.

    • Clayton Grant

A zipper-neck (ala Young Frankenstein) might be more appropriate as well as functional.

    • Right Wired

That would explain why John Kerry looks the way he does.

      • trixiewoobeans

Kerry looks like it pains him to be him!

        • tops116

To be fair, part of that pain has to be a result of who he married.

I honestly don’t care who sends what to people on the Internet, or what they do in their personal lives – even if their bullying assholery is epic. What people do with their private time is none of my business, so long as it is by mutual consent and no victims are involved. Folks make mistakes, you learn and move on.

HOWEVER — His (very lame) attempt to cover-up what he had done is inexcusable, speaking volumes about his character. Getting caught with your pants down is one thing… man up and take the hit. Lying to cover it up once you get caught is something completely different; he should never be trusted again, and anyone who does trust him deserves exactly what they get.

    • 3seven77

I agree with most of what you wrote, however, Weiner used his office, his office computer, and the Congressional fitness center as the means to send his personal skeeviness out to the world. Office equipment, office time, taxpayer $$$. That makes it everyone’s business.

    • $36544368

Agreed. I have more respect for someone who says, “I screwed up, and I want to learn from this”, than someone who backpedals. Put on your big-boy pants and ‘fess up, stop insulting us, Mr. Weiner, and be prepared for the consequences of your actions. I’ve always told my children the same thing. Don’t ever let me catch you lying to me…you do it once, and then it’s too easy to do again. Be honest…it builds character and integrity! Besides, unless you’re a pathological liar who has had lots and lots of practice, most lies are ones that you can see right through anyway. Why cheapen yourself!

I wonder if he’ll continue Bloomberg’s policies of banning things because they’re too big.

    • JustLikeAnimals

When elected he’ll request an immediate “closed door” meeting with all the giant walking vaginas from Code Pink.

    • $23988033

BTW…speaking of Bloomberg does everyone know that when Bloomie travels to Bermuda which outlaws all guns…he gets an exemption from the Gov’t of Bermuda so his security guards can have guns?

      • Gordon

The only reason these guys can get away with acting like entitled aristocrats is because the liberals allow them. Never, ever could figure that out.

  • Paladin

    Awesome.

I found all of the unintentional double entendres in the headlines when the Weiner story first broke were hilarious.

“there was definitely a douchiness about him that I just don’t really see anymore.”

so the official campaign line will be: “he was a douche before he wasn’t a douche” ?

    • Adela Wagner

But his “weinerness” goes back to day one.

  • NCRelite

What is up with the Left’s love affair with Weiner?

    • Kate

What’s up with the Left’s love affair with nether regions?

Their mascot is an a$$, they love Weiner, and they tell women to “vote with their lady parts.”

      • Adela Wagner

They not only vote with their lady parts, they make costumes to wear in public.

    • JustLikeAnimals

Pretty simple, actually. The left is comprised of a bunch of dysfunctional dicks, so one more twisted Weiner is more than welcome and fits right in.

  • right_on

Understatement. Weiner’s behavior goes well beyond “douchiness.”

  • Silenttype78

Heh….we call these kinds of people “juice bags”.
It came from my six year old overhearing her 16 year old brother calling someone a “douche bag”….Great.
So, later she asked what a “juice bag” was and I told her it is something we call dumb people and she said “Oh…like Capri Sun?” and I said “Mmm hmmm” and she said “Ohhhh because juice bags don’t have brains!” and I said “You got it!”

So, no “Mom of the Year” award for me,but guess who has two thumbs and isn’t getting a note home from an unhappy teacher?
    <———– This gal.

The sad fact is, even a junk-tweeting douche is still preferable to Bloomberg.

Little Weiner has a douchiness about him, says his own family.
He could be vice president, if only he was much MORE douchey.
Of course, he will never be douchier than the Golfer-in-Charge,
    some goals are unattainable.

  • John (it true me am)

It’s so hard to read stories about this guy and not find innuendo everywhere even when it probably wasn’t intended. The “hard to take weiner” line in particular here.

  • Raye09

I am sorry, but I hold politicians to a higher standard than that(I also hold teachers and journalist to a higher standard). A politician posting nude/half nude pictures is not the same as an athlete, singer, or some drunk 23 year old and his homies doing it.

Plus, Weiner from what I remember, Weiner has always had a nasty attitude. He has always come off as immature and unprofessional.

  • Roto

Weiner should retire and open a restaurant on Coney Island. Oh wait….
