Law-abiding: Congressman reports deer properly using crosswalk and signal

Twitchy is happy to report that deer in Boulder, Colo., are obeying the law and using proper crosswalk protocol when crossing the street.

Law-abiding deer are hard to find these days.

The individual in the following video wants answers as to why deer crossing signs are posted in areas with a high volume of traffic.

Contact Rep. Polis (or Sen. Charles Grassley?) today if you have concerns about signs blatantly encouraging deer to cross the road in highly-trafficked areas.

    Dear Deer me.

“I’m a Conservative Buck…I only cross at at night, the heck with the Facist signs trying to tell me where to cross”….Percussive snort….”Wait, was that Betty Deer?…sniff sniff….Betty…wait up….”

    • IceColdTroll

Y’all OK, Bubba? Need someone call 911 for ya?

  • J.N. Ashby

Now maybe we can teach them to hunt themselves for us. mmm Free venison…

Why are deer crossing signs posted in areas with a high volume of traffic? Only a liberal…only a liberal. A Tweeker is on the floor searching for a particle of meth, a floor lamp’s light brightens the area. MethHead, “Dude, why are you looking over there, you said you dropped a crystal over here?” Tweeker, “The light’s a lot better over here.” MethHead, “Oh…okay, I’ll help you look.”

Those new gun laws are giving them a false sense of security, too.

      Hah !!!

        Heh, I know you!

    • Alyson Stewart

You obviously missed the story about the ‘pet’ elk in a neighborhood in Boulder that a policeman shot one night for sport. Obviously leaving guns in the hands of policemen is a worse idea than arming citizens.

  • SheerPolitics

Be sure and listen to Part II. Donna has finally been educated that the deer signs are for drivers, not deer. At first I really wondered if this was a prank call, like the one who pranked law enforcement about a putting a deer in the back of his car. But apparently this was a real person who is now infamous in Fargo and just hoping her fame will die down.

  • IceColdTroll

    Very old gag.

  • Squirrel!

Think I’ll put some “Gun Free Zone” signs in my yard. Maybe I’ll get more deer in my yard than I do with the corn we put out.

  • in_awe

Now if only we could get Congresscritters to obey the Constitution!

  • John

Before we know it, cats and dogs will be living together.

    They’re Japanese tourists, most likely.

    • Frank Drebin

Japanese crows have learned to use traffic, signals, and the crosswalk to safely… uh, bust a nut…

      • CO2 Producer

American crows just keep squawking until they can get someone else to open their nuts for them.

If that was me on the radio. I’ll probably laugh my butt.

  • Duane Savage

Shoot em.. they are supposed to cross at the deer crossing!

  • Alyson Stewart

The deer in Boulder wouldn’t dare defy the collective.

  • ceemack

In a small-town newspaper, there was once a letter to the editor that complained a local “deer crossing” sign was in a location where it wasn’t really safe for deer to cross the road.

The letter-writer demanded that the sign be moved to a spot where the deer could cross more safely.

  • Silenttype78

There was a super funny radio caller complaint about this very thing about a year ago.
    Bless their hearts.
    You can’t fix stupid.

  • Andre DeLara

Now if we can only get Illegal Immigrants to pay attention to the “No Crossing” signs at the border.

  • John Kerry’s Forehead

Spent a few years in law enforcement…know a thing or two about detecting liars…I tend to lean towards this either bring a skit or the caller was trying to dupe radio hosts. Caller sounds veryscrioted. Funny nonetheless.
