Wil Wheaton knows where to find the 'unhinged crazy' on Twitter: #TCOT

Here’s a hot tip from actor and writer Wil Wheaton: there’s some sort of Twitter hashtag going around that makes him say “Wow.” Trusted sources suggest that #TCOT stands for “Top Conservatives on Twitter,” and it’s been been going strong for a good four or five years.

Some of Wheaton’s braver followers have decided to boldly go where liberals have never gone before.

Don’t flatter yourself and think that you’re one of these “top conservatives.” It appears this guy is the one who blew the lid off of the “unhinged” underbelly of Twitter.

Beware: Wheaton is finding these crazies in real life. They walk among us and might even dine in restaurants.

Now we’re scared. What’s that? You say the tweets are coming from inside the house?

  • garygramscom

Didn’t he used to be an actor?

    • TheOriginalDonald

The primany words here are USED TO BE

      • johnnybc

He is a reoccurring role, as himself, on The Big Bang Theory. A very, very funny tv show. Smart too!

    • jkpalmdale

He still acts on occasion, he plays his Narcissistic Self on Big Bang Theory, Sheldon’s arch nemesis

      • wwbdinct

Ahhhh – Big Bang Theory. Never saw it.

        • shimauma

          it’s mostly a geek/nerd popular show. I watch every chance I get, cuz yeah, I’m a geek/nerd. D20’s ALL AROUND!!!

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Sam-Metler/720822798 Sam I. Metler

I am not a geek but that show is great. Watching Will having to lie and cheat to beat Sheldon is a snap shot of the real Will W. If he had to play fair, oh wait liberal. I guess he felt left out that Jim C and Robert Redford are getting all the headlines and a “barely ever was” is needing a hug from the left idiots.

      • Blake Waymire

Sadly, he’s not Sheldon’s arch-enemy anymore. He even made an appearance as a guest star in Sheldon’s Youtube show (“Fun with Flags”). Thankfully, Amy tears Wheaton a new one. It was a joy to see!

I should qualify here that I love The Big Bang Theory.

    • Miss Clairee

And “Stand By Me” was relevant ….uuuuummmmmm….how long ago? I think Twitter needs to have a new rule: If over 75% of Twitter users have to Google who you are when you tweet, then you should decline even using Twitter!

      • Squirrel!

LOVE Stand By Me. It’s a classic so I think still relevant especially since I turned my now 15 yr old onto it about 2 yrs ago. Good movie. The only other thing I know of that Wil Wheaton was in is Star Trek: The Next Generation.

        • CatHerder

…and he played an effeminate wimp there.

        • descolada9

Have to wonder if he was one of those child stars who got raped by the producer or something???

          • shimauma

            that’s pretty typical in hollyweird

          • Maryxus

And this is kind of exactly what Wil Wheaton was talking about. Congratulations on proving his point.

          • rivers

Pedophilia in Hollywood is rampant. Worst kept secret.
Ever wonder why Hollywood looks at Roman Polanski drugging and sodomizing a thirteen year old girl as no big deal?

          • shimauma

and congrats yourself for letting everyone know how jealous you were of Will Wheaton for being the victim instead of you. Maybe you should try broadway, I hear Nathan Lane is looking for a nice juicy sycophant to abuse.

        • JamesMc

Well, he also inspired numerous Star Trek fanfics in which they found creative ways to kill off his character. Wesley Crusher was the Jason Todd for Trekkies. Not really Wheaton’s fault in this, just that the writing for the episodes that centered around his character were horrid.

      • rayy

75% of twitter users overall would probably recognize very few individuals. Maybe Oprah. Certainly not yourself.

      • Gigi

If residentsi of Teabagistan don’t know who you are then you’re nobody? Got it. I’ll be sure to tell that to his many followers on Twitter.

    • Scott Carroll

Oh he still is. This is just part of his new performance art piece opening at the Los Angeles theater. It’s called “Twitter Twits.” In it he plays a developmentally disabled, liberal, has-been actor desperate to find relevancy in the internet age. As you can see, he’s crushing it. Bravo Wil!

    • http://www.facebook.com/alyson.stewart.10 Alyson Stewart

Until his boy/man character began to phase in and out of time travel and ultimately out of the show. I wish he would phase out now.

    • http://www.twoconservativelesbians.com MeredithAncret

“Actor” is such a strong word. More accurate would be “ruiner of every episode of Star Trek: TNG that he was ever in”

      • Markward

Dear lord the best moment was hearing wesley being told to shut up. Now if only there could have been an airlock accident on the Enterprise.

      • garygramscom

Well, to be fair, I am no judge of ones acting abilities, however judging from the amount of work he has received since those days, I’d say those that do have the ability to judge have said… “No Thanks”

      • http://twitter.com/InformedNow InformNow

Actor? Just looked at bio at imbd, seems his voice is in more demand! If I were Wil, with a career bio like that, I wouldn’t want it highlighted!

        • goofy_joe

Not a thing wrong with VO. Some people make good money and have long established careers lending their voices to animation and commercials. Bash people’s acting all you want, but don’t bash VO.

    • http://ladyliberty1885.com/ LadyLiberty1885 – A.P. Dillon
    • Tukas

He was in Star Trek NG.

    • AriesMatt

Um, you MIGHT want to check his IMDB page before posting such ignorant comments. Will has been very busy, especially in the past 2-3 years.

    • SideshowJon36

Famous for being featured in the worst episodes of Star Trek; TNG. Found new life being featured in the worst episodes of Big Bang Theory

    • http://politicalknow.blogspot.com/ SheerPolitics

Obviously, like Jim Carrey, he apparently hasn’t been getting enough attention so he’s decided to become a troll too.

  • Matthew Balan
    • Brian Roastbeef

LOL! Glad somebody beat me to it, else I was going to go and put that in here. Well played, sir.

  • ChampionCapua

Loved him as Weasley “Butt” Muncher on Star Trek Next Gen.

  • Mama Bear

I used to respect this kid but now I think he’s just a douche.

    • TheOriginalDonald

Looking back now…….WESLEY WAS ALWAYS A DOUCHE!!!!!!!!

    • packsoldier

Really? I thought he was an insufferable jerkoff from Day One.

  • jkpalmdale

Wil obviously prefers being a brain dead tool

  • DrSamHerman

LOL…the twittering Stephelapagus using the psychobabble like he really knows what it means…I spend half of my time on line pointing out leftists who use psychoblabber to sound intelligent but then fall short when confronted….

    • Sons Thunder

      • JR48

        LOL you’re missing the joke.

        • Sons Thunder

I’m guessing the handle is a portmanteau of the Sesame Street character and the host of This Week. I was having a hard time understanding where @DrSamHerman:disqus came up with this term. I should have paid better attention to the Twitchy piece because I missed that one of the tweets came from Stephelapagus.

…and everything seems clearer now :-)

  • Steve_J

Why did he point them there? Because he knows they are sheep and will blindly follow instructions without thinking.

  • Maxx

Remember folks…all of this faux outrage from the very people who call any black conservative an uncle Tom or house ni**er.

But hey, they’re so intellectual, don’t you know.

    • Sons Thunder

Do you have a link to support that claim?

      • Grandma HeadInjury

LOL! Are you serious? How many links do you need? Check out Twitchy’s archives and come back and let us know how many more are required before we do your Googling for you….

        • Sons Thunder

I simply asked for some evidence supporting Maxx’s claim “the very people” from this Twitchy piece use those terms about black conservatives.

          • Grandma HeadInjury

And I simply provided the resources you requested. I look forward to hearing about what you found!

        • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

Hahaha, I thought he wanted the link to where liberals claim to be intellectuals. Haha.

      • shimauma

you sir, are NO SON OF THUNDER

      • rivers

LOL! Oh wait, you’re seriously asking?

      • Brandon

Why? you to lazy to watch MSNBC? or did the Cheetos grease get into your remote?

      • RedSoloCup

What, did Tingles forget to tell you?

  • Mike Eastridge

Wheaton’s signature catchphrase, “Don’t Be A Dick,” clearly doesn’t apply to him. Anyone who doesn’t share his viewpoint is met with ridicule and scorn. Mr. Wheaton, please take your own advice.

    • TheOriginalDonald

you mean like Google always says, DON’T BE EVIL??????????????

      • http://www.facebook.com/richard.jefferies.96 Richard Jefferies

Yes, unless you’re (Google) helping a totalitarian state like China to block any outside information.

  • RightThinking1

“You say the tweets are coming from inside the house?”

Whatever you do, do not go down in the basement!

  • http://www.vatican.va/ Rulz

“If you really want to see the unhinged crazy, check out the #TCOT. Wow.”

Yeah, I saw the hilary video posted too, but didn’t watch it.

“@wilw Why did you point me there? After reading those posts I feel almost dumb enough to join them… Then I realized I have a soul.”

Wait, so does that mean you are religious or believe in God?

    • Kevin

I had that exact thought… Proof of the pure idiocy of liberal thought patterns. Fetuses are not alive, God is a myth and I have a soul. I think what he meant to say rather than “I have a soul” was “I am the center of the universe and will live forever”

  • wwbdinct

Who the F is Wil Wheaton? Seriously. I know how cliched that sounds but I have no idea who he is.

    • kate_middleton

He was a kid star on Star Trek: The Next Generation and in Stand by Me.

I don’t think he acts anymore, but he’s big into blogging and tech stuff.

      • wwbdinct

Thanks. Never watched any Star Treks (I hope the wrath of Trekkies doesn’t come down on me for that one) and haven’t seen Stand by Me since it first came out. The only actor I remember from that was River Phoenix.

    • tony30088

You don’t know who he is because he is a nobody, a washed up unemployed actor.
Probably lives off of food stamps.

      • TheOriginalDonald

I’m sure he still gets a residual check every month. Not as big as Emo Phillips’ check for UHF, mind you, but he still gets paid.

  • http://twitter.com/die_mich_zwei Spatial Awareness

Oh, look….. another irrelevant 1%er, crapping on the actual people, most of which have worn or who wear a uniform and put their lives on the line every day during their service to this country… so @wilw can spew his idiotic leftist drivel.

  • kate_middleton

I guess he thinks Obama and Hagel are paranoid about North Korea then….since they’re flying B2 bombers there and moving missile shields.

They’d totally do that if it was benign, right? Or they’re both “paranoid schizo” neocons now? Riiiight.

    • rayy

That’s an annual joint exercise with South Korean forces.

  • Wag_a_Muffin (D)

Well carp [sic] I really liked him on Eureka. (He played a smarmy, know-it-all-jerk. I guess it wasn’t much of a stretch for him. Huh?

  • Kenneth James Abbott

Apparently, if you really want to see the ‘unhinged crazy,’ you should check out the people who Follow Mr. Wheaton.

    • TheOriginalDonald

You gotta know your enemies #NotUnhingedCrazy

  • radishthegreat

This isn’t the first time he’s been a dick.

I’m sure it won’t be the last.

    • aegean1

      Wow, what an arrogant jackass..

    • RedSoloCup

He must be trying to outdo Jim Carrey.

  • AaronHarrisinAlaska

    Look at ALLLL that projection.

  • http://www.facebook.com/richard.jefferies.96 Richard Jefferies

Yes, I’m sure you’re at a Los Angeles restaurant where someone is yelling about North Korea nuking America. Screen shot or it didn’t happen.

  • cgraham77

Didn’t he stop getting roles once he reached puberty…at age 30?

  • rivers

Loooved his tweet about N. Korea, lol. Nope, nothing going on there, Chachi.
Anyone still wondering why MSNBC interviews five year olds on the hard hitting issues? Got to keep it at an intelligence level fans like Wheaton can comprehend.

  • http://twitter.com/Stimulus4U Marty Luther

I thought the # thingy was put on certain words by twitter’s accounting department. I guess you can use it for other things.

  • Liberal Translator

I way lost my cool after all that started. I tweeted that to Wheaton and next thing I know I had a wall of hate. Sorry for the unbecoming behavior that followed (But not sorry for calling Wheaton a liberal idiot).

    • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

Of course, libs don’t like being called out for what they are.

  • Ntr

We all know these dim bulb libs never checked out the #tcot hashtag. Just wait until their slow, “behind the times” collective minds discover #tlot, #tgdn and others. I can just imagine the smoke coming out of their ears once they do… 😀

Conservatives and libertarians, as the earlier adopters, own Twitter.

  • Right Wired

Oh, how original! A washed up, left wing actor who lives in a bubble and spews platitiudes and insults from the safety of his pc.

  • tony30088

Yet another washed up has been to add to my list of boycotted Hollywood pigs.

  • Sean Minturn
    • vino veritas

Hilarious, plus bonus pimp slapping at the end! Hope someone posted this on his Twitter feed today. I bet the little manboy child must be kissing allot of TV exec’s & big screen director booty since his show Eureka went belly up.

  • Jack Deth

And Wil Wheaton wonders why he is where he is today?

Picard should have beamed Wil and Whoopi into deep space on wide dispersal ages ago.

Would have raised the series ratings while clearing a path towards Beverly Crusher.

    • TheOriginalDonald

Alfred Bester wouold’ve spaced them LONG ago #TheCorpsIsMotherTheCorpsIsFather

  • des111168

I wish no ill on Wheaton. He already has a life sentence: being known at Wesley Crusher until the day he dies.

    • 24fan

i was thinking the same thing.

  • http://twitter.com/lazypadawan lazypadawan

What a douche. And there’s nothing more pathetic than a bunch of follower fanboys.

  • Brian Roastbeef

I used to talk with this guy online back during the glory days of Fark.com, and he always seemed reasonable on politics, even with those of us who didn’t always agree with him. He talked mostly like a left-leaning libertarian, but avoided labels and didn’t act like too much of a jerk.

It really is a shame to find that somewhere between the Obama cult of personality and another ten years of still only being known as Wesley Crusher (and occasionally, one of the still-not-yet-dead kids from Stand By Me), has pushed him over the edge into full-left arrogance. Gone are the days when those who consider themselves elites, or even the very fringe of such, cared to engage the peasant class with an open mind, open ears and a shred of respect. We’re well in to centralized fascism now; such pretenses are no longer needed.

  • Markward

To quote Picard: “Shut up Wesily!”

    • angelaisms

Dear downvoters: I was talking about Wheaton and his crew of sycophants. Honestly.

  • radjahshelduck

My favorite episode of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” was the one where the Klingons held Wesley Crusher down and took turns farting in his face for half an hour. Okay, I made that up, but it would have been a great episode.

    • shimauma

LOLS yeah I wanna see that one too. I hear Klingon Farts are horrendous!

    • Brian Roastbeef

Hey, I remember that one! The part where Riker stripped him, shaved all the hair off his body, then threw him into Ten Forward in front of Troi is the origin on the famous “Picard facepalm” photo we all know and love today.

  • descolada9

I actually followed Wheaton for a very short while on G+ I finally couldn’t take his inanity and preening and removed him from my circles. He is a true libtard and a bit of a fever swamper.

  • GaryTheBrave

  • goofy_joe

I love the comments on here. Love them for their absurdity. So what if WW doesn’t have an A-List career? Let’s be honest, George Takei is known for his one role as well…yet people love him and listen to him when he tweets. Same thing with WW or anyone for that matter. He’s using the internet to reboot his brand, and anyone who is upset by that is, well, jealous. :)
