Bruce Carroll pulls a Judd, will not challenge Lindsey Graham

It’s bad enough that Ashley Judd has decided not to run for Senate, and now Bruce Carroll, the tweeter formerly known as @GayPatriot, has announced, as scheduled, that he will not challenge GOP squish Lindsey Graham in 2014. Disappointed followers are taking the news with a dash of humor.

There must be at least one other “consistent constitutional conservative” in South Carolina, right? In the meantime, don’t get too comfortable, John McCain.

I have decided not to run for Senate in 2014 also. Not because I don’t want the job, but because we have age limits.

I don’t blame him. Bruce is a nice guy. I blame the ‘tolerant left ‘ who would have made his life miserable.

    • Breitbarts Corpse

Aww, that’s cute. You really don’t know what you’re talking about.
Bruce called a gay liberal a “terrorist” on his blog and posted the person’s personal information. That person then looked Bruce up and called him at work to ask him to take the info down. Then Bruce cried “harassment”. He looks like a turtle and has the reasoning skills of an amoeba or a tea-taliban loser.

It’s cute the way you ridicule a dead man with your nickname. Cute as in “look at the cute little retarded boy.”

      • Matthew Morris

And of course, you can provide links to all this on the GP site, right? *insert crickets*

LOL, yeah the civility is just oozing out of that one.

This goes back to my theory that holds: anyone who is deserving of an elected office is smart enough to realize its not worth the trouble/effort/time/attacks/hassle.

Someone down there better primary that weasel!

    • Kimihiro Watanuki

We’re working on it, hard! We’ll find someone and drag that ferret-face from his hole yet. Everyone hates his guts outside of Charleston.

      • Princess_Jen

Hey charleston here & we hate graham too

        • Kimihiro Watanuki

Sorry there! I didn’t mean to blame one area. Please forgive me. I think everyone hates his stinking guts. Well, let’s hope we get someone excellent to vote for.

  • Voting Female

I am also withdrawing my name from the running for the Senate seat of Tenntucky.
I need to spend more time with my dog’s new puppies.

    Sorry, Mom.

  • sqeptiq

Smart move on Carroll’s part. The idea of South Carolina Republicans nominating an out gay for statewide office is absurd.

    • Matthew Morris

Why it would be as absurd as a Sikh governor.
      Oh wait…

      • sqeptiq

Nikki Haley is not a Sikh but rather a Methodist convert.

      • des111168

You can’t even be bothered to do a Google search before you just spout stuff?

I was looking forward to voting for him. I’m sure we’ll find someone else; there is still time.

  • BlueStateRepub

I congratulate Bruce Carroll on boosting his site hits and Q-rating.

Now can we get a serious candidate to challenge Grahamnesty?

  • JoeMyGodNYC

On his blog, Carroll says that he decided not to run because he and his partner are worried about their safety from “gay leftists.” Because a mysterious unmarked van lurked outside his house after CPAC. Seriously.

    • Matthew Morris

Actually he said “Finally, the week after CPAC, I noticed this unmarked van casing our house for over two hours. We tried to confront them, but they drove away. I have no idea who it was or what their intent was, but it got me thinking more seriously.” Link http://www.gaypatriot.net/2013/03/27/the-decision-no-senate-run/ I know, those pesky facts…

      • JoeMyGodNYC

I read Carroll’s post and you have merely restated my comment.

        • http://www.facebook.com/138900508 Patrick Dennehy

No, he said: “I have no idea who it was or what their intent was, but it got me thinking more seriously.”

Where did he say the van was ‘gay leftist’ as you implied?

          • JoeMyGodNYC

The implication is Carroll’s. Click over and read his full blog post.

I read it Joe. The ‘gay leftist’ comment came from a past incident and the van comment was in a different paragraph.

          • JoeMyGodNYC

Here’s the back story on that past incident. Interesting read. http://lloydletta.blogspot.com/2005_03_27_archive.html

Like I said, those pesky facts getting in the way. Kind of like how it’s a fact that Bruce was harrassed at work and quit blogging for a while as a result. Fortunately his employer undestood that if you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything.

I’ve been watching Lee Bright, like what I’ve heard him say on phone w/Beck.

Senator Lee Bright will replace Graham in 2014.

I feel much sympathy for Bruce.

I would make the same decision.

But Bruce has a good, solid replacement in place with Senator Lee Bright.
