Supreme Court Justices have entirely too much power. And some of them are too old to make decisions about a changing world.—
Terry McMillan (@MsTerryMcMillan) March 27, 2013
Imagine how excited author Terry McMillan will be to learn she and José Canseco share the same outlook on the Supreme Court. Canseco’s afraid SCOTUS will “act its age” rather than embrace change, and it seems McMillan, 61, also thinks that it takes younger minds to keep up with a changing America. Funny how few celebs complained that SCOTUS had too much power when it upheld Obamacare.
If the justices decide to strike down Proposition 8 and DOMA as unconstitutional, will they still be considered “too old” (and white, and male)? We’ll have to wait and see.
For what it’s worth, Justice Alito is 62.
