Snort! Chuck Woolery asks why the Constitution is not taught in schools; Actor Nick Searcy has the answer

Game show host and Tea Party guy Chuck Woolery (still sadly unverified) took to Twitter this morning to wonder why the Constitution is no longer taught in schools.

“Justified” co-star, actor Nick Searcy has the answer.

Swoon-worthy once again. Nick Searcy refuses to back down from the tolerance bullies and calls out race-hustlers and grievance-mongers at every turn.

Yes. Everyone should. Do it now!

Public schools are required by Fed. law to teach the Constitution one week in September each year. They don’t do it because they, and parents, don’t know about it. See Janine Turner’s website for more info.

  • PennyRobinsonFanClub

Badda-boom! Probably the most the teach about the Constitution is how it institutionalizes white privilege or something. That’s the current catchphrase, right? Since everyone is catching on to the RAAAAAACIST hokum.

    • OneThinDime

The WI University suddenly stopped their white privilege, hummm guess they didn’t like the public outcry.

    Amen Chuck Woolery!

The man is a patriot & always manages to make the most perfect common sense statements with all things. Drives the Moonbats nuts. I am a devoted fan..

He needs to run for office. I don’t care if he started a 3rd party I believe the conservatives would support him all the way to the White House! He’s got what it takes to resuscitate the USA.

And he looks just as good as he did when he was hosting, “The Love Connection”. Apparently has figured out a way to get around that ugly business of aging. 😉

Why not legislate, “Constitution Week” in our public schools? A week set aside specifically for learning the constitution. Yikes! They might actually learn something. God forbid!

    • lliam

I’d be happy if they just taught and discussed the Constitution on Constitution Day, September 17th. Schools are in session by then. Of course a week would be even better.

      • B.f. Caffrey

In high school we had a three days on the Revolution and 2 weeks on the Constitution. The teachers knew how to make it interesting and relevant. We each had to memorize one section of it and one Amendment. When I hit college and took some law classes, they spent almost 45 days on the constitution!

I’m reading America the Beautiful, by Dr. Ben Carson right now. It is a great book that reminds us of what was in the constitution in the first place. Great story about George Washington that appeared in history books up until 1934, but was removed because it had to do with his strong faith in God. Ei-yi-yi, the politically correct police were at it 80 years ago.

Love ya’ Chuck, but I’m on the fence re: schools teaching Constitution. Yes but… the PUBLIC schools? Government UNION HACK teachers? How would they teach it? Rather, how would they misrepresent and undermine it to our young skulls full of mush. Private schools– yes, absolutely. Then again, most of them probably already do. Seperation of School & State.

Who benefits by graduating millions every year fro public schools who don’t know how their own government is supposed to work and why? We all know the answer to that.

  • teamfrazzled

test salad -seriously that was one of the most ignorant comments I’ve read here. IF YOU HAD BEEN TAUGHT ABOUT OUR CONSTITUTION YOU WOULD ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT. Their personal failings as human beings isn’t the issue (and only a few out of more than 200 founders owned slaves anyway). They acknowledge their own shortcomings -unlike “progressives” who are actually regressive and demand perfection from everyone but themselves. They agonized for years trying to insure they left a system for future generations to decide what laws THEY wanted and able to rid themselves of onerous or bad law. They insured a system for correcting errors while providing for the protection of their descendants’ rights and their right not to be forced to live by bad law chosen by a past generation. There is a reason that while the US is among the youngest of nations, it has the longest continuing form of government. Again, IF YOU HAD BEEN TAUGHT about our constitution, taught how your government is SUPPOSED to work and why- you would know why we have the longest continuing form of government on the planet. But you go ahead-let’s just trash that, ignore the sheer genius of our Constitution because hey, a couple of the more than. 200 founders owned slaves?

    • MissDiane47

Take a look at one of my last replies to “test_salad” .. where I said “You are beyond help.” You’ll get a kick out of it.

  • B.f. Caffrey

Not only the constitution needs to be taught, but some of the records of the debates on the constitution should be taught too. Plus some of the writings of the founding fathers. For example, Alexander Hamilton and Madison both agreed – Congress had no authority to restrict or regulate firearms. Period. No discussion.

So, according to what the founders envisioned, about 98% of “gun control” is unconstitutional. Members of Congress and the administration pushing it, by the founding fathers’ vision, are violating their oath of office, an impeachable offense.

The level of slave ownership among founders is blown out of proportion. A minority of the signers owned and supported slavery, with some(Madison and Sam Adams I think?) actively campaigning against it.

  • truckee22

So we should hate them all and ignore what they wrote, fought for and believed in?

  • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

    But they put provisions in the founding Documents to eventually end slavery, which happened under Lincoln (Republican) who didn’t give a $#!+ about the concerns of the Southern Democrats who got rich off the backs of slaves.. Jawamax 8<{D}

  • Orlando Cee

It is the Constitution written by those Founding Fathers that helped guide the later generations of Americans to outlaw slavery. Weren’t you listening in school?

  • Silenttype78

Not all of them. Oh, while you are in the mood for moral outrage: Margret Sanger wanted to exterminate black people but lib-progs love her ideas.

  • bossmanham

So because one of their positions was wrong, then all of them are? Okay. Bye bye free speech and representative government.

  • Jim

Tim Geithner dodged his taxes. I guess that means we shouldn’t pay him our taxes anymore.

  • B.f. Caffrey

Not all of them. Besides that, these men were all wealthy by anyone’s standards. Hancock had a merchant fleet. Franklin had his printing business, others had large holdings and businesses that made money. Yet, each of these men risked their fortunes, luxurious lifestyles and their very lives for an IDEA. Six years of war left many of them paupers or dead. Those who survived and others of like mind came together to write a brilliant constitution. Was it perfect? No. Several admitted that slavery was abhorrent and should have been abolished in the document. But pragmatically, the north needed the south and they compromised.

As to why we should listen to them, the question is why shouldn’t we? If you listen to Feinstein, know that her husband, D.Blumenthal is heavily “in bed” with the communist Chinese government. Why should we give ANY of her bills even a cursory read? Every time Joe Biden opens his mouth he either insults someone or gives out “advise” that would put people in jail (his shotgun comments). The man is an embarrassment and as dumb as an empty beer can.

  • mike_in_kosovo

Democrats formed the KKK – why should we listen to them?

  • bossmanham

Wrong, and a terrible anachronistic use of terminology. Typical boneheaded lib.

D’s wanted slavery, and then wanted segregation.
    R’s didn’t.

  • Silenttype78

Democrats were the last ones to have a KKK member in Congress….
    He died in 2010.
Democrats wanted to “conserve” slavery. They were “conservative” at the time.

  • B.f. Caffrey

Funny how it was the Republicans who pushed both Kennedy and Johnson on civil rights matters. It was Republicans that got the votes in Congress for the ’64 CRA. It was the southern Democrats who wanted to keep their Jim Crow laws and keep blacks at bay. Today, “liberal” has come to mean “socialist” but it appears it really should be closer to National-Socialist.

Maybe you think it was a liberal or Democrat who said, “Extremism in the pursuit of liberty is no vice. Moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.”

  • Silenttype78

    You know her work.
    Hint- Planned Parenthood

  • MissDiane47

“Never heard of her.” (RE: Margaret Sanger)

Hahahahahahaha … you are so thick-headed. I’m surprised your brains haven’t exploded under all that ignorance.

Sanger is best known for Planned Parenthood. Also a eugenics supporter and highly racist (meaning she believed in killing any baby who was basically disabled, weak, and black).

  • Silenttype78

Just making it clear for you.

    You’re welcome.

  • BrainChildOfGod

I assume you also applied that standard to the late Robert Byrd? Hmm?

  • Catchance

Since it was their own who rounded them up and sold them to the slavers, slavery itself can’t be blamed entirely on whites, BUT the KKK CAN be blamed entirely on the Democrats who founded it and fought for it. It was the Democrats who didn’t want their slaves freed, it was the Democrats who, every time they got in power in Congress would repeal anti-slavery laws, and in 1964 80% of Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act, while only 61% of Democrats voted for it. Senator Byrd, a Democrat, was an “exalted Cyclops” in the KKK, even then. And Johnson himself said that he signed it so that all the n*****s would vote Democrat from then on.

  • 96leroy

The K K K was full of democrats. See Senator Robert Byrd who was an “Exhalted Cyclops” in the K K K and filibustered for 14 hours the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

You really SHOULD hate yourself – your party is still enslaving people.

  • truckee22

Weak, stupid, and makes no sense.

In 1789 the Constitution would not have passed if it addressed the slave issue. That was to await 1861. Why am I stating the obvious?

  • motion view

Who do you think abolished slavery? Did white Christians institute slavery in China 4000 years ago? Slavery would still be endemic worldwide if it were not for those dead white Christian males.

  • John (it true me am)

How exactly does saying something is blown out of proportion translate into condoning something? It is a mathematical statement that x is not as big as people make it out tob e, nothing more. Strawman much? I know, I know, you am liberal so words am hard.

  • BeautifulAmerica

Just like a little bit of bigotry and racism is OK with you.

  • teamfrazzled

OMG! You are saying that if you were to understand and appreciate the sheer genius of the Constitution it means giving support for slavery! That unless all past generations held the identical morals, practices & values of today, history has nothing to teach us! (Actually liberals constantly insist that is true which is why they insist we must ignore the fact the system they seek to inflict on us is a historically proven failure that only increases human misery.)Slavery is irrelevant to the discussion and that you don’t understand why only reveals your lack of critical thinking skills -which is a good way to insure your ignorance is a permanent condition. The morals of a past time period cannot be judged by TODAY’S! Pointless, stupid, self-defeating and self-harming since you close your mind to EVERYTHING of significance that was accomplished instead of just closing your mind to the slavery as unacceptable today! What matters is their genius created a document insuring citizens retained the power and right to alter our laws to reflect the fact morals, practices and values change and insuring future generations are not forced to live with theirs and the means to correct any shortcomings in the Constitution as they became known. And as long as it is prevented from being destroyed by a particularly self-centered, wallowing in and defending all sorts of immoralities generation of today, no future one will be forced to live with YOURS either! As is THEIR right as well.

  • R.C.

    You sir, are a moron.

In Jefferson’s own pen “all men are created equal” he had acknowledged just that; all men are created equal…(despite owning hundreds of slaves)

I would suggest you spend some time over at where you are able to read the founders own words on what they thought about slavery and the efforts to abolish it that they set in motion with our founding documents. Read and learn about the culture that pushed slavery pre-revolution and why the time was not ripe to abolish slavery AND win independence.

“to argue with someone who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead.” T.P.

  • ForTheRepublic

Well, had this been 2007, I may have believed you, Miss Mills. Unfortunately, arguing that the Democrats believe in any sort of Freedom or Equality since they nominated Barack Obama is a lot like telling people in Texas that California is the most conservative state in the nation.

  • Larry G.

you do realize you just proved his point that conservatives wanted to keep slavery and thus fell into his trap right?

  • Silenttype78

Conservative and liberal are terms that may be applied to different groups at different periods. During slavery those who wanted to protect the protect the institution of slavery were ” conservative ” . Those who wanted to abolish the practice were “liberal “.
Think of it this way-out it is legal to abort babies. Today promoters of continuing the practice could be considered ” conservative ” wanting to “conserve” the right to kill infants.
Those who oppose the practice could be called “regressive ” or “progressive ” but not “conservative “.

  • 96leroy

You are still a disgrace if you feel we should disregard the Constitution because a few of the signers also owned slaves. Most of the world owned slaves back then. Even blacks in Africa owned slaves (guess their color?) The Constitution was written with the mechanics to allow for amendments to it – very unlike any charter the K K K has come up with. The K K K’s premise is and always will be: colored = no good.

  • Orlando Cee
