Happy birthday? SEIU’s enthusiasm for Obamacare’s third anniversary not contagious

We at Twitchy are happy to spread the word that tomorrow’s the third anniversary of Obamacare becoming law, but celebrate? We just can’t work up the enthusiasm that the SEIU has demonstrated for a 7-foot-high stack of paper bound in red tape. Neither can these folks.

FreedomWorks’ vice president has a special anniversary message.

OFA, the “independent organization” also known as @BarackObama, is even organizing “birthday” parties tomorrow to mark the occasion, but we can think of only one good way to celebrate, and the Senate started that party last night.

    SEIU. Slang for THIEVES.

    • Garth Haycock

You’re too nice. I would have said [redacted] thieves.

      They’re brownshirts without brown shirts.

10 yrs. ago when I moved to Boston, I worked some temp jobs while searching for a perm one in my usual career. The temp agency gave me a gig at the SEIU Boston headquarters. At the time, I had no idea who they were, but boy oh boy did I learn fast. I was shocked at what goes on in their offices – the plans to bully employers, the coordinated deception and lies. They don’t even care about their members, they care only about “winning”. I was so appalled by things I heard and saw, wanted no part of it and asked the temp agency to reassign me to something else. Biggest bunch of manipulators and con artists I’ve even seen.

I worked for the State of Calif for over 30 years. Just after I started, Jerry Brown implemented the “fair share” which requires employees to pay union dues even if they don’t belong to the union. It’s criminal to say the least. I don’t live in Calif anymore but I follow everything on SacBee.com. I also post there and call them “Purple-shirted THUGS.” It was SEIU members who beat up Ken Gladney at a Tea Party some years ago. I’ll never let them forget it. Organized Crime sanctioned by the government.

I’m CA born/raised, moved to Boston 10 yrs ago, but moved back to CA last year. My home state is in such a mess. I was a kid the first time Brown was Governor, but learned what a nightmare he was when I became an adult. I’ve no clue how he got reelected and is again running this state. As for those purple shirts, each time I see them I also think thugs with no morals, no character, no integrity. Those they pay to attend protests have no clue they’re being used as pawns. SEIU does not care about the employees (saw it for myself when I briefly worked there), they only care about raking in the money and sticking it to The Big Guy (employers).

      SEIU = the purple pestilence

If OFA is flush with money, they ought to buy out the debt ridden DNC and eliminate the competition.

    • Kevin

While it would be better to let a debt filled organization go bankrupt, and then only purchase what is wanted without its financial obligations, I wouldn’t be surprised given the obvious lack of basic economic principles the Dems have displayed. What a perfect opportunity to show the DNC does not have a spending problem!

  • maplebob23

How many waivers did they get?

  • Matthew Koch

I have still have to cringe at it being called the Affordable Care Act.

I George Orwell were Alice today he should probably have surf them for plagiarizing 1984. No different than the Ministry of Truth.

SEIU followed me on Twitter a couple of days ago, needless to say I’m leery. Maybe I will report them for spam.

Another reason I’m not on Twitter. I don’t follow anyone, and no one follows me.

I have had several lefty orgs follow me, right after I made comments to certain officials.

      • http://extremesplash.wordpress.com/ Ben Bollman

Yeah, they followed me after I talked about Sarah Palin I believe

  • lainer51

I wish I was exempt that the atrocity they call healthcare, but I do not work in govt. or for a union so I will get the proverbial “bend over and cough”!! Thanks alot you jerks in Congress (who, BTW, ARE EXEMPT)…

Over the past several weeks, there have been news reports on the number of veterans committing suicide because they cannot get medical care from the GOVERNMENT RUN MEDICAL CARE system known as the VA. There have been other news reports of veterans waiting months for their claims to ruled on, and other reports saying the claims backlog stands at 900,000. It has gotten so bad that Congress has held hearings, and VA officials are jumping ship. What better example could there be of GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTH care then the VA? If the number of veterans who served in Afghanistan and Iraq cannot get health care because of incompetent bureaucrats, what makes ANYONE think the government can provide timely care to over 300 million people?

    • Txgirlinnh

It’s disgusting the lack of care/attention/concern given to our veterans. Every time I hear about or see a homeless veteran it makes my blood boil. Cut off the mindless welfare leeches and take care of the men and women that literally put their life on the line for our country and freedom.

      • GoSellCrazySomeplaceElse

        I second that.

    • Orlando Cee

The “ANYONE” you refer to are the low information voters.

The SEIU supplies the paid trolls on here. What else to be expected of a POS union.

    • $23629333

All of those angry members of the 2% who join us are paid by SEIU? It could be worse, they could be on welfare, then guess who would be paying them?

Of course, it could be argued that SEIU derives its money from the public.

  • marcellucci

The only procedure covered by O’BamaCare without a referral..
    A colonoscopy….
    They assume you’re already prepped….
    Enjoy…..

  • marcellucci

If only 11% of employees in the US are unionized, why would that be a majority vote for the tax payers to accept public employees unionization?
Seems to me that we should have the upper hand…..

    • $23629333

“we” who know better are way outnumbered by those who do not know or care that the public sector is growing.

  • marcellucci

    All together….
And you smell like one too…..

    • mdtljt

Perfect!!! Thanks for the giggle…great companion to the sunrise!!!

Remember, ladies and gentlemen, Obamacare is not about and never has been about expanding and/or improving medical care in America. It is ALL about expanding the federal government. In the UK, one job in four is connected to the medical system. With Obamacare, that’ll be the case in the USA.

That’s why the SEIU is blubbering with joy – the happy teardrops “(t)hat come from feeling good inside.”*

(* see Del Shannon, “Two Kind of Teardrops”)

ObamaTaxKillCare had one purpose and one purpose only, to destroy free market based healthcare. Medicare and medicaid helped to cripple it, ObamaTaxKillCare is the death panel for free market based health care. Praise your socialist overlords!
