Musket Morgan vows to keep up fight for gun control, dancing on graves

Earlier today, Morgan blasted Harry Reid for shooting down Dianne Feinstein’s assault weapons ban bill:

And urged Feinstein to hold fast to her dreams of drying up the supply of scary-looking guns:

Now, he’s promising to cling to the gun control torch, come hell or high water:

No, Piers. Do you know what’s shameful? The fact that you view the Sandy Hook massacre as nothing more than a tool to boost your sagging ratings. The fact that you’re clamoring for photographs of the murdered Newtown children. That is shameful.

But perhaps now that he’s officially embarking on a public shaming crusade:

He’ll stop ghoulishly dancing on graves long enough to take a good, long look in the mirror.

  • webnetcity

There is something about a foreigner coming into my country and trying to preach to us about which laws to pass, that just rubs me the wrong way…

somebody please ask me if I even care what this guy thinks

    • kate_middleton

Completely agree. He’s such a hack that his preaching would be annoying regardless.

But, his moral superiority and self-righteousness is too much to take. You don’t like it here? Please leave.

I hope Zucker cans him soon.

    • TugboatPhil

I think being “shamed” by Piers Morgan is a compliment, in the same manner that a double negative is a positive.

    • V the K

There’s something about a guy using the bodies of dead children to pimp his career lecturing about “shame” that rubs me the wrong way.

      • Orlando Cee

Much in the same way president zero uses live ones to pitch the same message.

    • Rulz

Morgan has some initial success in the first couple of debates, but since then he’s gotten it handed to him from what I can tell.

This issue is probably not helping his ratings.

    • ceemack

Where’s Jeremy Clarkson when we really need him?

    • $23629333

Imagine the stink there’d be if Rush, Glenn Beck or the former governor of Alaska were hired by the BBC, and similarly lectured the Brits.

  • Richard Jefferies

You go ahead and “attempt” to shame them on air there Tokyo Rose. The problem you are going to have with shaming them is that they are acting exactly as their constituency demands that they act. See that’s how things work in a representative Republic. I wonder if you read your own words. 2/3 of Americans; that’s right Mr. Morgan, 2/3 of Americans do not want to surrender our God-given right to self defense of our families against criminals or against statist apparatchiks like you who seek to disarm us. Go back to England. We don’t want you here oryour painfully biased journalism.

You don’t give a wit about children torn apart by surgical instruments and a vacuum cleaner. You don’t care about children being burned alive for an hour and turned into beef jerky. No, that’s all about women’s choice, but when it comes to the choice of owning a gun, you and your ilk get indignant. The shame falls solely on you.

    • Garth Haycock

I’d argue that he doesn’t engage in journalism, but stating his personal opinion.

The comments from regressives about Fox News in 3, 2, 1…

    • Lyn Ward

      Very well put!

  • Rich

Go back to England where you belong and don’t tell us how to run our own country .Remember we did run you people out of here with our guns .Get over it.

    • disqus_e2F2oUH6C7

      England doesn’t want him.

      • TugboatPhil

Intestinal bacteria doesn’t want him either.

      • Hired Mind

Suggest they drop him off the plane before he gets to England then.

      • Rulz

I think I’ve heard that before.

  • kate_middleton

    What a douchebag.

    • Garth Haycock

Kate, I believe that you have succinctly stated what all here are thinking. Well done.

  • DaCubsDaBears

Yo Piers -if your pathetic attempts to generate publicity about this subject continue to fail, you can always go back to starting fake twitter wars with Madonna,.
You have no core values beyond publicity and ego- stoking.

    • Ardell Simon

and he still can’t get anyone to watch his lame show!

  • Maxx

If you can’t even get Harry Reid to take your side, that pretty much says it all.

Take a blue pill Musket…that seems to cure impotence, of which your effort to gun grab has, shall we say, come up short.

  • Ariadnea

More like spitting frenzy on children’s’ graves.

  • Danny Weasenforth

WASN’T THE RIFLE FOUND IN A LOCKED TRUNK after all was aid and done? all the killing was done with hand guns

    • Mark Stephens

      Danny, Danny, Danny…

When will you learn that facts are not nearly as important as f e e l i n g s. Yes, the rifle was found in the shooter’s trunk and was not used in the Newtown shootings. That is not the issue. Just the existence of all those scary looking guns is enough to force everyone to surrender their constitutional rights. Just ask Diane Feinstein.

Besides, if “journalists” like Mr. Morgan were required to use those pesky facts, what would happen to MSNBC’s programming?

  • DarkKnight2016

So about 2 people will know who Morgan hates

  • Ronster19

Musket is on the ropes and his rants are showing his panic. Maybe he can find a slot with Buckshot Biden.

  • Rulz

“Don’t give up on an assault weapons ban @SenFeinstein – shame those cowards on the Hill until they act. I’m right behind you. #CNN”

Oh boy, that sure changes everything!

    • Ardell Simon

of course he would be behind Feinstein. Hiding behind an old lady’s skirt is where I would expect to find him!

      • TocksNedlog

He doesn’t need Feinstein for that; if he wants to hide he can just pull his own skirt over his head.

  • Chip

    Piers…. irrelevant again…..

    • TexSizzle

      Piers…. irrelevant still….. (FIFY)

  • Darby Hodges

Yes, please tell me which Senators are against the ban and I will vote FOR them!

  • NRPax

I’m thinking of starting a Kickstarter campaign that will pay for a round trip, first class ticket for Jeremy Clarkson so he can punch Piers even harder. Just gotta work out the rewards for higher contributors such as “$1000 or more: You get to hold Piers down.”

  • JR48

Shame on, Piers. And the answer is: Most of Congress.

I just picture this yahoo with wide ruled paper and a crayon, feverishly making his little list…

  • Garth Haycock

    Mr. Morgan –

As a non-citizen of the United States, you don’t have a say in the matter.

All US Citizens who respect the US Constitution.

  • James Bowen

what dose piers stand for but a pole up a morgan’s ass

  • sqeptiq

These complaints of grave-dancing are foolish. Morgan is responding to a bunch of people getting killed by calling for government action. We do that all the time. What, was government supposed to do nothing after 9/11 so as not to be accused of dancing on the victims’ graves? As for gun control, I oppose it. In fact I think anyone not in jail or a psych ward should be able to buy any sort of gun he wants. But there’s nothing wrong in principle with calling for government action to deal with tragedy.

    • $45875941

Calling for action on who?! There’s a lot wrong, in principle, with a call for action after this tragedy when, 1) they’re not addressing the problem, 2) the actions they are calling for are totally arbitrary, 3) they will do absolutely nothing to prevent any tragedy, 4) no law abiding citizen’s AR-15 ever killed anyone, 5) their proposed laws are in violation of The Constitution of The United States of America, and 6) CRIMINALS DON’T OBEY LAWS! And…….for the last damn time; an AR-15 is NOT a damn assault weapon! Every time the left calls one by that term, we need to call them out on it and correct them. Its a sporting rifle. We need to stop reinforcing their fear mongering term. The libs and even some conservative non shooters are believing these gun illiterate morons that they are fully automatic “weapons of war.” Sorry for long post; just sick and tired of the ignorance and bullshit.

      • sqeptiq

Look, people frequently call for government action after tragedies. I may agree or disagree with their proposals, but I believe in respecting them (which doesn’t mean agree) as long as it seems they have good intentions. I don’t want any new gun controls. Hell, I’d even get rid of the the background checks we now have on retail gun sales. They’re pretty useless since you can buy a gun privately with no ID check and I don’t believe in wasting money. That said, I don’t doubt Morgan’s good intent even though I find him a putz, and he can spout off all he wants, in my book.

I’m not very interested in arguing what’s an assault weapon and what isn’t. Full-auto FAL’s and M-14’s are ill controllable in full-auto and are still assault weapons in semi-auto mode. M-1 Garand, too, which wasn’t manufactured in full auto. And anyway, I support civilian ownership of assault weapons. The US has a much higher homicide rate than other countries. It appears that that’s the price of freedom, and it’s a price I’m willing to pay.

        • $45875941

I don’t know what your weapon knowlege is, and I’m not out for an argument. As a Marine in Viet-Nam, I carried an M-16 for 19 months in’68 and’69. That wasn’t an assault weapon. And it wasn’t even called that back then. The assault moniker came along when S.W.A.T. teams were started. We were damn good with an M-16 on full auto. You fire bursts; you don’t empty the mag and waste any more rounds than you need to. I also humped the M-60 machine gun on patrol. That’s an assault weapon. Full auto 7.62mm. and can be fired from the hip. The current military version of the M-16, The M-4 isn’t really an assault weapon. Why? Because. 22 caliber, 5.56 doesn’t make for much of an “assault weapon.” M-14, AK-47, and the SKS are true assault weapons. Beloved me, I know. The AR is nothing more than a semi automatic rifle; no more, no less than a. 22 lr semi automatic rifle, just higher velocity. No more deadly, just deadly at longer range.
Been nice chatting with ya. Gotta turn in take care man!

    • TocksNedlog

On the contrary, there is EVERYTHING wrong with it! The federal government isn’t Glinda the Good Witch or our Fairy Godmother; not only can they (in many — some would say “most” — cases) NOT prevent a similar tragedy from occurring in the future, but more often than not the steps they take tend to — in the name of ‘security’ — threaten our basic liberties.

      • sqeptiq

Then to be consistent you need to demand that the government never do anything in response to any tragedy and condemn any and all calls for government action after tragedy as grave dancing.

I oppose gun control but I don’t doubt the good motives of those who advocate it. I’m willing to accept the US’s high homicide rate as the price of freedom but not all people are, and it’s fine if they advocate their side too.

        • TocksNedlog

“consistent” equates to ‘absolutism’, which is the province of leftists. It’s all well and good (meh, not really) for members of the public to react to a tragedy by telling the government “You need to DO SOMETHING, and we’re willing to sacrifice some of our liberty in exchange for your protection.”
The problem is when our leaders are only too happy to take them up on the offer, because ALL they hear is “we, the people, want to cede more power to YOU.”

  • Michael Rice

    Dear Musket,
If you knew anyone who had been raped then you would know how important the ability to defend themselves is.

  • Ben Bollman

    Piers, your tears taste awesome.

  • Nathan Rogers

Piers morgan is so busy liberal grandstanding and drawing attention to himself that he probably has not given two real thoughts toward the real issues nor has he done his due diligence I would wager. Right now he is getting all the free publicity he can buy with his antics..he could give a shit about the 20 children or the safety of America. He is a ridiculous man with little to no common sense or logic and this is his last stop before he finally becomes utterly irrelevant.

  • June Clinkenbeard

If anyone knows about shame it’s Piers Morgan. Stick with what you know, I always say. With loons like Piers, we really don’t have to say much. He does all of the work himself and we just point and laugh. Can you believe this guy is getting paid? Unfathomable.

  • Stan

You mean that the British phone hacker is still here. I guess the WH tossed out the petition to deport this loser. Maybe he should go to France or where ever Cher is residing and take up a cause. They go for nut job’s over there.

  • $23629333

That picture of Musket Morgan brings to mind Charles Bowers’ metal-eating bird laying a (very big) egg.

  • Guest

Morgan was fired from a British newspaper for being involved in faking images,
of U.K. troops supposedly abusing Iraqi detainees.
The guy has a long history of douchebaggery and is now the U.S.,
because he is persona non grata in the United Kingdom.

  • Rene

I think the reason he is holding on to the weapons ban is because without it he doesn’t have anything else to talk about
