Brit Hume tweets on Gosnell horrors: ‘This is where the culture of abortion can lead’

Thank you for speaking out, Mr. Hume. Brit Hume tweeted out an article and said, “This is where the culture of abortion can lead.”

The article he links is from LifeNews reporting on day two of the Kermit Gosnell trial.

Evil, indeed.

A medical assistant told a jury Tuesday that she snipped the spines of at least 10 babies during unorthodox abortions at a West Philadelphia clinic. And she said Dr. Kermit Gosnell and another employee did the same to terminate pregnancies.

Adrienne Moton’s testimony came in the capital murder trial of Gosnell, the clinic owner, who is on trial in the deaths of a patient and seven babies. Prosecutors accuse him of killing late-term, viable babies after they were delivered alive, in violation of state abortion laws.

The rest of the article is horrifying and beyond heartbreaking as well.

Something evil this way came in the form of Roe v. Wade. And what happened at Gosnell’s abortion mill in Pennsylvania fully exposes the monstrous horror.

Innocent lives snuffed out inside what should have been a haven. Breathing their first and only breath all without the loving and warm touch of a human hand; they died alone, abandoned and tossed aside like trash. Those babies will never grow up to see the beauty that surrounds us.  They will never be able to chortle and splash in puddles nor will they look around in wonder and delight.

Snuffed out and silenced forever.

Yes, he did. You see, those pesky babies should have just “come out limp and dead.

The other day, Brit Hume tweeted about the 336 million abortions performed in China. He said that this “festival of slaughter will one day be seen for the crime against humanity that it is.”

He also said the United States is hardly innocent.

  • Elaine

No one wants to talk about what REALLY happens when an abortion attempt fails or the mother suffers damage or even dies. I knew Obama was evil when he said failed aborted babies should be left to die. They want us to see the damage smoking does to our lungs? How about showing how they do a partial birth abortion? If it’s TOO GRAPHIC to show, that should tell you how bad it really is.

    • Marie

Ugh. It is the mother’s responsibility to care for the child. Why should the tax payers of this country clothe and feed a child when they have their own families to care for?

As for contraception, if is already widely available. You just have to pay for it, although not for long.

If you can’t afford contraception or an abortion, then you can’t afford to have sex. Freedom requires personal responsibility. It is not the tax payer’s responsibility to bail someone out because they’re too lazy or selfish to care for their own child.

  • disqus_e2F2oUH6C7

@brithume Can lead, think it’s already there. Everyone in that office should be facing capital murder charges.

  • Orlando Cee

What, not a peep from the liberal media? Not a word about innocent children being killed?

    • 3seven77

They only care about children that are killed with guns. And then only in mass shootings that they can exploit. Sorta like that “Marines were killed by the Sequester” story that Harry Reid humped himself with. .

  • ceemack

My God, the full story is horrifying. Reading it made me sick inside.

How could any human being do such a thing?

I’m starting to conclude that the left isn’t pro-choice…it’s actually anti-life.

    • Garth Haycock

Exactly. The left encourages the slaughter of the most innocent, yet screams at protecting the lives of the most evil. It is appalling how far this country has regressed since it was founded.

    • Catchance

Yes, in everything. Their whole platform is about:

      • West_Coast

A “party” that boo’s God three times at their own convention, it’s easy to see how they can be evil enough to snip babies (er…gelatinous blobs) spines.

I’ll add one to your list:

  • V the K

I thought Legalized Abortion was supposed to protect women from dying from botched abortions performed by unqualified butchers. Didn’t work out that way, did it?

OMG.. these are NOT a clump of cells these are REAL sometimes completely formed babies.. WHY did they just not take them and drop them off at a fire station or something.. at least the babies would have had a chance.. and BTW Obama decided that he was telling a lie and that LATE TERM abortions were a woman’s choice.. but than again he decided DEBT was PATRIOTIC telling lies is EASY for someone without a soul..

  • CatHerder

I am a man, I will never conceive. Hell, at my age if I were a woman, I couldn’t conceive without Divine intervention. Still…

I love babies, always have. I remember washing and diapering my youngest siblings. Did the same for several neighborhood infants, at what’s now considered a tender age. I saw women-including Mama-in every stage of pregnancy, and not once did I hear one say they wished for an abortion. Griping about the discomfort of the pregnancy, yes. It was considered de riguer and not spoken of when grown men or older boys were present.

I do NOT remember a time when I didn’t think I would be a father, some day. I shivered at the thought, my own father was the Holy Trinity and all the Apostles wrapped together to me. Still…

My son is in the US military. We may have our difficulties, but he is blood of my blood. My daughter is less fractious, she at least acknowledges me. AND is pregnant with my first-born grandson ( way to go Baby Girl!)

I guess the point of this is where the hell would I be now if my wife (bless her!) had opted for the easy out.

    • Marie

Since when does the GOP refuse to talk about sex Ed? Last time I checked, the GOP does not run the Department of Education. Take it up with them.

      • CatHerder

I think you replied to the wrong person?

      • Mapache

Dems have a better graphics department headed up by Anthony Weiner.

  • TugboatPhil

This is what Obamacare will support for young and old alike.

  • Molly

This is pure evil, and that was truly a shop of Satan. God bless all the saints that are fighting for the lives of these precious babies, and who realize abortion hurts everyone: Women, men, grandparents, siblings, our society. God help those sleeping to this evil in our own backyard wake up.

  • ChristineM

This made me absolutely ill. These people are monsters. I really wonder if there is hope for people in this world. Disgusting and evil.

  • SideshowJon36

Not that logic matters for Liberals, but you really cannot logically reconcile the supposed Privacy Rights in medical affaits of Roe v. Wade with the Medical Databases of ObamaCare

  • SpinMeNot

I was at that coffee shop my wife sent me to the other day earlier. There was a young couple in there. The young woman looked like my wife, 45 years younger, the husband, in mannerisms, reminded me of myself. They had a beautiful little girl, 6 weeks old.

Anybody that could do the things described in this article isn’t human. I cry for the 12 that is now just me, and I’ll cry for the children that never get to be. For the people that perform such heinous acts, I will never shed a tear.

  • kylieangelina

I hope there is special place in hell for people who kill babies. As a mother of 2 sweet little girls, my heart literally hurts to think about those poor murdered babies.

  • APW

My niece gave birth to her little warrior princess 2 months ago at 20 weeks gestational. She has survived and now weighs 3 lbs. The difference between the joy we take in her life versus the indifference of that demon doctor to the babies he murdered–I cannot bear the inhumanity of mankind.

    • Lady 12

Congratulations to your niece! Wonderful that. The baby lived.

    • magules13

Wow 20 weeks! That’s a miracle. Kudos to her doctor. Most docs would have just let the baby die if born that young.

  • Booker

The headline of the article is just bone-chilling.

  • CrossWinds

Our spiritual seperation from God is the problem , from which every problem in the world stems from…..

….2 Corinthians 5:19-21…..19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

  • Donna Dunaway

How are these acts any different than what Nazi “doctors” did to the helpless? Shame…shame…shame

  • Garth Haycock

Abortion has been the cornerstone of the Democrat platform for decades. Evil is as evil does.

  • IceColdTroll

God Almighty, I can’t read this, I honest to God can’t read this.

    • $7610427

I read it, unfortunately, and burst into tears…

  • Dawn

Didn’t make it that far into it because it is so inhumane. But I think this story is being mislabeled. According to the medical assistant, these babies were born and alive outside the womb. These weren’t fetal abortions of a “mass of cells”, these were murders. When you change your mind at 8-9 months, you don’t force birth and kill him/her, you GIVE IT UP FOR ADOPTION! This is too much, this is so wrong. This country is becoming too callous.

  • magules13

I’m shocked that people are just hearing about Gosnell now. I follow LifeNews regularly and have known about this tragic case since 2011. Shame on the MSM for burying this story and thank God Hume isn’t counted among them. Bless him for projecting this case to a wide audience.

    • $7610427

I noticed that the article was written in January of 2011…not one person commented on it! I would say that it was buried along with the babies…except the poor babies didn’t even get the benefit of a burial…

    • Patriot077

Michelle Malkin published the entire expose as well. Including the grand jury findings. It was gruesome, inhuman and I read it the same day (just before) I found out that I would become a gramma. I will never forget the tiny baby feet in specimen jars and refrigerators packed with babies given no choice. How anyone could work in that environment proves this movement has no soul, no heart.
Even though my grandson came before the wedding, I cry tears of joy that they didn’t take the “easy way out” as so many of their contemporaries do (and in fact, some advised them to do that very thing). God bless my little buddy who is now 19 months old. I can’t imagine not having him in our lives.

  • $45875941

Isn’t it something that we are at the point in this society where we show more compassion when putting down a sick suffering dog, than we show for an innocent little baby who hasn’t even been given the chance to see it’s first glimpse of daylight. Pathetic.

  • Axelgreaser

DEMOCRATS HAVE NEVER CARED ABOUT CIVIL RIGHTS NOR THE SANCTITY OF LIFE…and I don’t mean those who consider themselves ‘everyday’ compassionate Democrats that are unaware of their own party’s history, who blindly lap up Obama’s propaganda, who are unaware of what was in that wretched ObamaCare bill not one of their representatives read and that has NOTHING to do with HealthCare. That vote ‘party line’, generationally. Did you even know that Bobby Kennedy wired tapped Martin Luther King? Did you think this early Democrat’s cult figure, precursor to the one the Democrats now worship was fond of King? No way. When I refer to ‘Democrats’ I’m speaking to the vicious (Demon)crats who are now drilling holes in the heads of the unborn, who worry senior citizens to death and then rush off for cocktails at the end of a typical workday frought with lies and deceptions and yuk it up like the hinterlands don’t exist. Those Democrats who now rob your bank accounts and are ‘QEzing’ you into total poverty via a broken currency. The ‘lip smacking’ blinking Democrats you see staring back at you from the television that inside trade freely, live in the lap of luxury, fly privately in a government issue Executive Air Force’ series of planes that blow enough fuel and cost enough to make a trip to San Francisco, we’ll say, as what a family lives on for a lifetime. Those agegious Democrats who have NOTHING to do with you or I, except they have everything to do with us. And because of this blighted period of Democratic rule, America will truly never be the same again. Obama has changed America and it seems like the Repubican’s are in on it. What will it take to right this wrong? Apparently they have an idea in Washington, D.C. considering the odd items they are purchasing these days. To use against whom? They won’t say. They don’t have to.

  • 3seven77

The most horrible part of this story is that “The Powers That Be” allowed this to happen. Nobody does evil like this in a vacuum. The late term abortions that were performed in this clinic were illegal. People told each other about what was happening there. Women knew about this clinic and used it. My guess is that a lot of “government officials” knew full well what was going on and chose to look the other way. Twelve years without an inspection? The abortion “doctor” and his staff aren’t the only ones who should be facing charges.

  • ozconservative

I sincerely hope this creature is put away for the rest of his worthless life. Maybe he will experience some “prison justice” as I’m sure there will be inmates with children wanting to get their hands on this piece of sub-human detritus.

  • ozconservative

In answer to Brits question, this is where it leads. This is the report from Bergen-Belsen concentration camp by Richard Dimbleby of the BBC

    Part 1:

    Part 2:

If we conservatives don’t do something about the culture of death that “progressives” have imposed on us, history will repeat itself.

  • CitizenEgg

What part of ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’ was ignored during Roe v Wade arguments? Oh right, we just redefined ‘life’ to be whatever was convenient, even after the baby survives an abortion attempt. Another black star for Obama, the pro-infanticide President.

  • CitizenEgg

Where does PETA stand on abortion?

    • Typewriterstreaming

      They don’t.

  • Moue La Moue (D)

How can anyone espouse a theory that killing an innocent is right or just? I’ve heard the arguments for life of the mother, rape or incest. I’ve heard these. I understand the trauma — but what this man was doing — had NOTHING to do with those cases. Nothing. There is NO absolution for what he’s done. I am going to go and hug my son now — who PP told me I should have aborted. I’m glad I didn’t listen. I’m glad I struggle, I sweat and I keep OFF the government dole so that he can have a good life. No one can do for self, but self — and this latest generation of toss-away electronic teenagers I fear will never learn that valuable lesson.

When I think of the pro-abortion zealots I’m reminded of the book A Brave New World and the mandatory abortion policy, and how the thought of a natural birth was so ghastly to the characters. Ford help us

  • Garth Haycock

Why should the GOP find ways for birth control to be more available? If the male and female participating in the act don’t want the consequence of what happens, it is their responsibility to prevent it.

Those on the left are always screaming that they want the GOP out of their bedroom, but you’re now demanding that the GOP provide contraception?

Sorry, it doesn’t work that way.

By the way, Packwood was never a conservative. Nice try though.

  • SCinGB

Are you kidding? Birth control not available? They give condoms away for free in schools, Planned Parenthood clinics, bars, everywhere. Short of following the couple into the bedroom and putting the condom on him, there’s not much more we can do! Human procreation isn’t rocket science. I don’t think that more “education” would change a damn thing regarding abortion rates in the inner city. Do you think inner city women are mentally retarded? This feels like the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Also, you can’t pin the destruction of the family unit on the Republican party. Who brought about no-fault divorce? What about LBJ’s great society? It’s pretty easy now for women to not get married to their children’s father and let papa government take care of everything. We want all children to grow up with their mother & father. You keep the father in the home, and much of the poverty would vanish.

  • Garth Haycock

Do you believe in personal accountability? I do.

Again, if a woman doesn’t want to get pregnant, then she or her partner should provide contraception. It’s their responsibility and theirs alone. A box of condoms isn’t expensive at all.

If you disagree, please tell me why it is not their responsibility to prevent pregnancy.

  • Jillane Kent

    A) Why is it the government’s responsibility to take personal responsibility for the sex lives of others?
    B) Take care of the co-pay? Generally, birth control is cheaper than a “value sized” meal at a fast food restaurant.
    C) Sex education? Don’t we already have that?

  • AMSilver

If the left really cared about the welfare of children, they would actively support men and women marrying before creating children, and then support the family unit. Instead, they support programs that make men ‘unnecessary’ for the rearing of children and also minimize the necessity of mothers in the child-rearing process. Their platform encourages making light of sexual activity, creates hostility between men and women, and minimizes the family unit.
Your characterization of the GOP only caring about children up to delivery is beyond false. The GOP simply acknowledges basic facts about humanity – and one of those basic facts is that the best way to care for a child is within the family unit – and that means you need the family unit to come before the child. You are a liar to misrepresent their stance so blatantly.

  • Garth Haycock

If you truly believe in personal accountability, then you wouldn’t want the GOP – or any political party for that matter – to do any such thing. The government’s job is supposed to be national defense and infrastructure. Nothing else.

We’re going to have to agree to disagree about this, but that’s okay.

  • magules13

Data shows that availability of birth control and sex education does NOT reduce the number of abortions, but actually increases it. You’d know this if you’d done any research at all instead of pointing fingers.

  • 3seven77

Are there no parents in your state? None that teach their children about sex? You whine about “the state” not handing out contraception and “the schools” only being allowed to teach abstinence when truly the responsibility for teaching children about sex should be the parents’.
