Magpul blasts ‘tricky wording’ in Denver Post mag ban poll, asks Second Amendment supporters to vote

Gun accessory manufacturer Magpul Industries announced it would leave Colorado if Gov. Hickenlooper signs the ban on magazines that hold more than 15 rounds.

The Denver Post is running a poll on the measure and Magpul has some criticisms.

More from Magpul’s Facebook page:

Hit this Denver Post poll “For” overturning HB1224. Not only did DP use some tricky wording in the question, but the “for” side magically lost 20% of ground between midnight and 6am…meaning either the anti-gunners are night owls, or someone is running a script to skew the results. Read and answer carefully. We hope the Gov isn’t using a newspaper poll to influence his decision, but just in case…

Here’s the Denver Post poll question:

Assuming state House Bill 1224, which limits gun magazines to 15 rounds, will become law, how would you vote on a 2014 ballot measure to overturn it?

It looks like Second Amendment defenders are answering Magpul’s call for help. As of 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, 56.85 percent of voters say they would vote to overturn the bill, 42.84 percent would uphold it and .303 percent are undecided. Over 60,000 votes have been tallied.

Voted! I also checked out the other polls (literally). The majority seems to lean conservative on the questions, so hopefully Colorado legislators are watching them (Yeah, right).

Andra, they do not care what we want. They have the majority in both the House and the Senate, and therefore the “power” to do whatever they want. Since when has a Democrat EVER cared about what their constituents wanted? The only thing we can do is vote them out in the next election and try to salvage what is left of our state.

      • almarquardt

Agreed, which is why I put the “yeah, right” at the end. I hope you succeed in getting them out. I was born and raised, and my sister still lives in Colorado, so I definitely care what happens there.

Andra, what everyone must realize and come to terms with, and come to terms with real quick, is the left has got a agenda of forcing the failed policies of socialism (and yes the same epic failure called socialism, that has lead to economic ruin, and over a hundred million and still counting people mass murdered, everywhere it has been tried.) on the American people. The left hates and fears the law abiding armed American citizen, because in order to left to force their agenda of socialism on the American people, the American people must be totally and completely disarmed, and unable to resist them. Like it or not, we are at war with the left, there is no compromising with them, these unjust and uncalled for gun laws Colorado is forcing on it citizens must be resisted and over turned. We in NY state also just had unjust and uncalled for gun laws rammed down our throats, but we gun owners are fighting back, about half of the NYS counties so far, with more are lining up to do so, have voted to tell governor Cuomo that they are not going to enforce his new unjust gun laws their citizens. The time to fight is here, do we stand for something, or are we going to fall for anything. Also remember, for the left, the ends justify any means possible.

Well said. My state also is considering a bill where state law enforcement officers cannot assist federal officials in enforcing any new federal gun laws. The chances of it passing are very good (if it hasn’t already. I’ll need to check).

The left doesn’t care what smart voters think, any more. They think they have enough low-information voters to carry them through any election.

I voted and plan to work hard to unseat these Dem-wits from office!

  • Midnight Cow

    Voted. Overturn now at 58.74%.

  • Republicanvet

Voted. A full 59.85% at this point. The question next to it was even better. It asked if you thought the democrats were over-reaching this legislative session. Over 90% said they were. Gives me hope.

    “…and .303 percent are undecided”
    Interesting number, that, “.303”.
    Kinda like rule 303…

Civil rights aren’t subject to voter approval and we continue to hold them regardless of what fascist Democrats want.

Come to Missouri, we’re gun friendly, have CC and the castle doctrine. We also have a Republican supermajority in the state legislature.
