Attorney General Eric Holder finally responded to Sen. Rand Paul via letter, after the senator’s thirteen hour filibuster yesterday.
Here is the letter:
The answer is “no”:
“Does the president have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on an American soil,” Holder wrote, per Carney. “The answer is no.”
I get the feeling that Eric Holder thinks his letter was cuter than it was. In any case, win for Rand Paul.—

Seriously. In any event, Sen. Paul was pleased … after he finally received the letter himself.

Sen. Paul announced to Dana Bash on CNN that he will be dropping his opposition to Brennan’s nomination for CIA Director.
Vote now set to commence shortly.
well this will be fast – Im told by Dem sources the brennan votes shoudl start 3p ish – less than an hour after Paul stopped obejctions—
