No, High School Musical actor Corbin Bleu isn’t dead

Twitter tried to kill off actor Corbin Bleu Sunday evening:

Fortunately, it isn’t true. A few Twitter users decided to have a little fun with the rumors. (If you haven’t seen the High School Musical movies, don’t bother reading the rest of this post.)

May Corbin Bleu be with us for many years to come.

Bleu tweets:

If he can survive 1,343,123 wedding receptions, he can survive anything.

Never heard of him …. he must be on one of those scripted shows written by liberals. I stopped watching such shows when 3’s Company went off the air.

    No regrets.

Even worse — graduate of Disney Channel, one of the smarmiest production companies out there. Hey you wanna see one of the most REALLY racist shows ever to pollute the cablewaves? I’m sure it’ll be coming up for St. Patricks’ Day — “The Luck Of The Irish.” Just appalling. Imagine a show about a kid who discovers he’s got black ancestry, and suddenly develops a taste for watermelon and spontaneously breaks out tap dancing. Yeah. That bad, only with a “Faith and Begorrah, Mushaw mushaw mushaw” accent that went out of style with the end of vaudeville.

Yea, that movie is pretty awful but I don’t really find it offensive. It’s just badly written and extremely contrived.

Gotta admit I love the Disney Channel. I even watch it without my kids. I think HSM is great, love the music.

Glad Corbin Bleu is still with us. :)

I’m just saying if any “protected” race or culture was portrayed the way they present Irishness (OK, I know it’s leprechauns) they would never have been able to air it. Just imagine some black or Mexican or Cherokee or Arab characters presented at that level of caricature. Never would have been on TV, never would have been written.

To be fair, there are a couple shows that — well, I won’t walk out on them if the kids put one on. Phineas & Ferb makes me laugh, and the Suite Life shows had some clever bits but I will absolutely deny to my dying breath that I at all liked that dumb Korean girl. . . .

That’s a valid point, you’re right. Would never happen.

Come on, you don’t watch Good Luck Charlie??? The mom on that show is a scream.

My hubby makes fun of me because he’ll find me on the couch after the kiddos are in bed, catching up on my shows with the On Demand.

    Who the HELL cares.

Right ! Some nobody on a show I’ve never heard of that picked his stage name after moldy cheese (good cheese BTW).
