White House marks 20th anniversary of WTC bombing with … nothing

Twenty years ago today, terrorists detonated a truck bomb below the north tower of the World Trade Center, murdering six people. And today, the White House hasn’t offered up a single word to commemorate the somber occasion:

So, why the radio silence?

Yep. He’s got to keep his priorities straight. And anyway, President Obama is far too busy trying to frighten Americans about the economic terrorism being waged by the GOP. He doesn’t have time to address, you know, actual terrorism.

Maybe he’ll get around to it in 20 years.

    Nothing from @whitehouse either…

Obama is trying to release those responsible for the WTC bombing. (Mainly Omar Abdel Rahman, Rahman is the blind sheikh)

The blind sheikh is idolized by Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Obama.

(Theory is ambassador Stevens was suppose to have zero security in Banghazi except the locals. Hostage trade Stevens for the blind sheikh before election, Obama a hero etc… A couple of brave Soldiers thwarted the plan when they didn’t “stand down”)…. just throwing that out there.

Hah. I hadn’t heard that athough I did know about talk of releasing the blind sheik. Very plausible story considering the rampant lies and cover-ups of this incident.

Mursi recently stated that this was one of his diplomatic (hah) goals.

At this point I don’t think most Americans know who the blind sheikh is. Any mention of the 1993 bombing of the WTC would make it somewhat awkward for Obama later if and when he releases the sheikh, especially when Americans are reminded it was he who first attempted to bring the WTC towers down.

To be fair, President Obama could not address the first WTC attack because he was on his prayer rug, facing Mecca all day.

    • Saar

after all the most beautiful thing he’s ever heard in his life is the muslim prayer calls.

  • salvagesalvage

Well that must mean that Obama is a secret Muslim who hates America!

But it’s good you’re not trying to politicize tragedy, I know how much you wingnuts hate that sort of thing.

      Nah, it’s just indifference.

The man that voted ‘present’ does NOT strike again.

You don’t think it merits a mention?

      • salvagesalvage

20m years ago there was a terrorist attack on the WTC.

        There, mentioned.

I’m surprised he didn’t realease a picture of himself gazing into the Manhattan skyline, like the Neil Armstrong pic of him looking at the moon.

Or superimpose his image in a policeman’s uniform, conducting their mission with honor and sacrifice.

They ARE remarkably consistent, this gaggle of fools in the WH.
    Cannot do ANYTHING right.

  • Garth Haycock

This surprises me. I would think that Dear Leader would celebrate this anniversary. After all, the destruction of the United States is something he believes in.

  • SpinMeNot

I expect the same on 23 OCT, 06 AUG and 11 SEP … silence.

(Marine Barracks, EXTORTION 17, and Benghazi)

    Valiant men deserve better.

29 days into Bill Clinton’s presidency, the attempted destruction of the WTC occurred. In both the House and the Senate, the Democratic majority wanted to hold hearings about the national security failures of Reagan and Bush, but Bill Clinton lobbied those Democrats one on one not to hold such hearings.

Everybody reading this surely recalls how kindly Republicans treated Bill Clinton for exercising this forbearance.
