Sarah Palin to DC: ‘Grow up. Get to work. Go around lefty obstructionists’; Libs hurl recycled attacks

Sarah Palin’s Twitter feed has been more awesome than ever since she parted ways with Fox News. And it’s delicious to watch how thoroughly she still gets under lefty skin in just 140 characters.

And how much time did Jimmy Carter’s grandson spend as a governor?

You’re hilarious.

What’s next? Knock-knock jokes?

Sadly for these guys, letting Sarah Palin live rent-free in their heads doesn’t pay the bills.

  • Leroy Whitby

Palin played the biggest role in the 2010 victories of anyone. She stepped down and a year later did a great job and pounded the left. She should have run in 2012. Damned loser establishment GOP drug us down in 2012.

    • Christopher H Fromme

And if all the loony left had not file the bogus ethics charges against Governor Palin in 2009 that cost her $500,000 in legal fees, she might have not had that great impact on the 2010 election. I’ll take the “FIGHT LIKE A GIRL” Sarah Palin that drives liberals crazy

  • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

Look what the “quitter” did FOR Alaska and look what the current “stayer” is doing TO the United States.

I’ll take the quitter every time in that comparison.

    • Chadwick

i spent some time in anchorage…an overwhelming majority of those i spoke with cannot stand being associated with Palin.

      • NachoCheese (D)

“I don’t know how Nixon won, nobody I know voted for him”

While that is a fake quote, it speaks to the phenomenon you experienced. In all likelihood, the narrow spectrum of people you interacted with regarding Palin were of similar political leanings and therefore expressed a sentiment similar to that which you were inclined to agree with.

        • CherDash

Fred Shapiro over at the American Dialect Society found this for us:

Here’s a definitive answer. Pauline Kael spoke at the MLA conference in 1972. The New York Times, 28 Dec. 1972, p. 33, quotes her as
          follows:

“‘I live in a rather special world,’ Miss Kael said, continuing: ‘I only
know one person who voted for Nixon. Where they are I don’t know.
They’re outside my ken. But sometimes when I’m in a theater I can feel
          them.'”

      • WisconsinPatriot

Isn’t it funny how all the “smart people” agree on everything? Are you even CAPABLE of thinking an original thought? Did your time in Anchorage include any overnight stays in JAIL?

      • TEXs

You talk to lib-tards, that’s your problem.

        • Ronald

Ditch the name calling. That term is offensive and unnecessary.

          • SpinMeNot

Get over it, your side started the name calling, we are just playing along. Your side is constantly offending Christians, patriots, and people that think for themselves.

If you don’t like being called a libtard, libturd, liberal-progressive puke or other names, get your side to stop, and we’ll do the same. Its just like the ME here. You guys are Israel, and we are the oppressed palestinians (forget that Palestine meets none of the UN requirements for being considered a state, and yet they are a state, how does that work?) and we are just fighting to overthrow your oppression.

you are repeating yourself. And you should you go back and look for my postings with regard to the secession arguments that were being made several months back. I argued against it, because it would lead to a war that didn’t need to be fought. For the record, a soldier goes where they are told, regardless of the guy that is in office. I disagree with the nation building in Viet Nam, Iraq and Afghanistan, but its moot, because Congress agreed to all three and even BHO called Afghanistan the good war. No war is good. We should have kicked the crap out of the Bathists and Taliban, and just gone home at that point.

My side? It’s pretty sad that you’d assume I’m liberal just because I’m calling for some civility. You must think there are no conservatives out there that avoid calling people names. Well, now you’ve found one.

I don’t care what side started it, or what side does it more, or what side is worse. Pointing out someone else’s bad behaviour is no excuse for doing it yourself. C’mon. You’re better than that.

          • SpinMeNot

I can be better than that, I choose not to be. I’ve chased more than one libtard off this site and will continue to do so. We are way past civility, we are fighting for the very survival of this republic. I’ve had my actions constrained by poorly considered R.O.E. before. Never again.

          • Ronald

Yep, some liberals say that too. They say they choose not to be civil because they are fighting for their values and beliefs. They refuse to compromise. They obstruct. They call names. After all, for them, the stakes are too high to do anything else. What use is compromise, civility, respect? Those values are antiquated!

I guess if it’s OK for us, it’s OK for them too. To say otherwise is pure hypocrisy.

      • KayGee

Funny and TRUE. I visited Alaska in 2010, and one thing they HATE to talk about with anyone visiting their state is that embarrassment of a governor Sarah Palin. One of them put it to me like this: “Sarahbou is our little gift to the world, and once opened, there are no refunds or returns accepted.” And you’re right, people in her current town try to distance themselves from her family as MUCH AS POSSIBLE. people won’t even hire Levi Johnston’s family members because of THEIR ties to the Palin family. And poor Levi was practically abducted when the baby news broke, his parents didn’t even know he was leaving to go to the RNC when the Palin’s goons dropped by, scooped him up and had him stand there next to them on stage to save face after his little oopsie with Brooke and her “abstinence only, family values” preaching mama. They really are persona non grata around there. That all being said, I can see why all the Tea-Twitchers around here love her so much. They know better than to believe in the observable truth, with all it’s liberal bias and such.

      • http://twitter.com/LNSmithee L.N. Smithee

Did any of them cite a failing of Palin’s as Alaska’s chief executive that continued to dog the state? If so, you might want to inform her haters, since they NEVER say anything of substance. N-E-V-E-R.

Look at the tweets above. It’s all personal insults and irrelevant nonsense. When you look at her actual record, there are NO outrageous scandals, just minor oversights blown out of all proportion. Marco Rubio is now getting the Palin treatment; he’s being called an embarrassment for sipping from a water bottle.

I remember when CA Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (seems like a bad dream now, doesn’t it?) snickered at Gov. Palin’s refusing some Obamastration stimulus grants because they had strings attached; either they were one-time grants for expenditures that the state would have to pay to continue upon expiration, or the cash was given to states on the condition that certain statutes were either created or already in place. She said she wasn’t going to accept money from the feds if it was just going to obligate her to let them dictate state law or create the expectation that a new program (that dovetailed with White House philosophies) would be funded by the state legislature for posterity. Palin left Alaska in good shape; Schwarzenegger, who said he’d take the money Palin refused, left a multi-billion dollar gaping hole in California nonetheless. Thank God he’s termed out and won’t be back.

Palin wouldn’t be able to beat Obama at Jeopardy!. Big deal. She would be a helluva lot better at running the economy because it doesn’t take a magna cum laude Harvard grad to know you can’t spend your way into fiscal health.

        • BillnCara Elrod

  • NachoCheese (D)

    Go around lefty obstructionists

Unfortunately, due to the schizophrenic nature of 51% of the American voting public, the Dems still hold the Senate. Therefore any work done by the House simply gets tabled in the Democrat controlled Senate, thus providing cover for Obamao, the Dems & their state run media complex lapdogs to blame the “do nothing Congress” (read: House Republicans).

I say bring on the sequester! It is Obamao’s baby, he owns it. When the people whine about what is cut, the Republicans need a clear message that everyone of them repeats detailing how the President decided what to cut.

Obamao is choosing to cut where it hurts the American people the most, rather than taking on some of the estimated $125 billion the executive branch wastes each year. Rather than cut non-vital services like NPR & PBS, Obamao is choosing to cut vital services.

Make Obamao own the damage he does.

    • WisconsinPatriot

No-one is going to whine. Cutting the INCREASE in spending by 2.4% isn’t noticeable. That is what “the one” truly fears. BIG nuthinburger.

      • NachoCheese (D)

I agree to a point about it being unnoticeable, but think that Obamao is going to do everything he can to make it felt as much as any reduction in the rate of increase can be felt.

I do completely agree that Obamao and his statist allies are terrified that the cuts happen and nobody notice. Hence the doom and gloom apocalyptic scenarios Obamao and company are spinning to try and make the Republicans fold on yet more new taxes. That would expose the bloat of endless federal spending for what it is…generational theft to line the pockets of the politically connected.

        • Catchance

Sad to say, I think you’re right. I think Obama will cut essential services just to try to prove his point that we can’t cut anything in the government… even increases. DHS has already started releasing illegal aliens who were in prison… 10,000 to date… in anticipation of sequestration cuts. Never mind that the cuts haven’t actually started, or that DHS itself is guilty of massive wasteful spending.

          • SpinMeNot

This is exactly what will happen — the cuts are specified at a high level, and if you do a bit of research, much of the funding for things BHO has been claiming will be cut, is not on the list. He has the ability to minimize the impact or to maximize it. BHO will create as much harm to the economy as he can to make a political point. And the sheeple will take their handouts and blame everyone but the 3 Stooges (Dirty Harry, Princess Nancy, and The Organizer-in-Chief)

The only thing transparent about BHO and his administration is their lack of integrity. I’m about to the point of saying, let them have it. I’ll be in a lounge chair on my front porch with a cooler of beer and some beef jerky. It will be a hoot.

          • $36103485

Have the republicans ever defeated President Obama. The repubs are like a little guy you keep whipping but he keeps asking for a fight. I have no idea how this will work out I just know President Obama will prevail. He is the “Undefeated”:)

          • SpinMeNot

True, this is what happens when one side controls the education system. BHO will prevail because he has power, and he doesn’t care about you, the poor or me. He is all about polarizing the population to get us fighting with each other, so that he and his ilk can do whatever the hell they want.

        • $36103485

Starting to doubt you even have a High School diploma. All of the … in your posts where simple commas would do. Are you a child of the former half-term governor? That is a popular, two-term President you are comparing to a quitter and failed Klondike Kardashian.

          • http://www.facebook.com/lisa.dean.564 Lisa Dean

Putting periods at the end of a one or two word sentence is common grammar practice. Are you a typical liberal ass who has to use recycled rhetoric in order to make a point? We get you don’t care for Sarah Palin or anything she says or does. It’s ok, but now it’s time to come up with some new material or get off the pot.

          • $36103485

Try this one on for size. In her book “Boys Will Be Boys,” Shailley Tripp alleges that the former half-term Governor’s husband was her pimp. Tripp, an admitted prostitute described specific physical characteristics regarding certain anatomical features of said person. Question 1. Why was she not sued for libel and slander as she has made these allegations in writing and verbally in interviews? Question 2. What are the chances of allegedly having a prostitute with a last name that is very unique in general but also quite unique in spelling match that of your grandson born after the alleged dalliance? Care to estimate the odds of these things being unrelated? Hint, the odds are higher than the half-baked alaskan ever holding elected office again and those are long odds.

          • http://www.facebook.com/lisa.dean.564 Lisa Dean

A tell all book in order to make money written by a prostitute is your “fact”. Have you ever thought that maybe her book is a work of fiction? This woman was contacted by the National Enquirer so of course it’s got to be true! /sarc #smh PS You still can’t capitalize a state can you?

          • $36103485

National Enquirer broke john edwards story. If it is indeed fiction, why no denial by the former half-term governor nor her entourage? She wrote an entire book based on “refudiating” the McCain campaign staff allegations. Why no lawsuit for libel and slander. She alleged crimes were committed by the husband of the former half-term governor. All he would have to do is prove he does not have the physical characteristics Shailley Tripp alleges he has. And the name-Tripp with two P’s. What are the chances that is a coincidence?

          • http://www.facebook.com/lisa.dean.564 Lisa Dean

You can keep repeating what you posted above but it still doesn’t deem it credible. Sighting a story about John Edwards when the discussion is about Sarah Palin and a “tell all” book written by a prostitute is really staying on topic. And yet you claim “I am single and well to do with a potential to earn much more”. #smh

          • $36103485

I would say the odds of the former half-term governors husband having two “Tripp’s” in his life and being a coincidence are looong odds indeed. in fact, longer than the odds of a “No Second Season, LLC” show ever seeing a second season.

          • $36103485

She went into the reddest states and districts and “picked” people who were going to win anyway. Cat got your tongue?

          • mike_in_kosovo

How many ‘winners’ did Zero get, again?

          • $36103485

Fewer than she lost. I remember her saying Christine O’Donnell was the best candidate. How about the New York 23 debacle? Has a democrat congress person for first time since civil war. Remember that? She loved Ken Buck. Couldn’t even get Sarah Steelman the nomination in a weak three person primary. Then not invited to the RNC. John Edwards had to have a baby out of wedlock while his wife was dying of cancer to match that feat. Facts all.

          • mike_in_kosovo

So let’s not start calling people half-wits unless you can prove that they actually are.

          • $36103485

Well, he did get voted President of the Harvard Law review, State Senate, Senate and President twice. Catchance, you seem well educated unlike so many posters here. You appreciated my greek tragedy reference. I don’t have children and I didn’t go to college until I was 22. But having put myself through college I appreciate education so much. Do you have a problem with a wealthy person like the half-baked alaskan having three college age kids but none matriculating at University? Doesn’t that show a lack of proper upbringing?

          • Catchance

Okay, so I’ll answer your question: No.

Not everyone needs/should go to college. In fact, I think that’s a great deal of the problem in our country. People think that going to college is the only way for them or their children to get ahead, and certainly in many cases it is, and I commend you for putting yourself through, but there are too many in college who don’t belong there, and too few in trade schools learning an actual, well… trade. I wonder how many educated people with doctorates in women’s studies are out there looking for jobs, needing to pay back their student loans, while the local plumbers, mechanics, and electricians have too much work to handle? When did it become right to sneer at an honest laborer’s job?

          • $36103485

Good answer. I would never sneer at a laborer as I spent the first twenty five years of my life laboring. Trade schools are amazing and I must say that Willow is smart to avoid the reality show failures and the spotlight as Bristol has done. She has gone to hair school and that is admirable and i would never discount that. But track and Bristol have no achievements that any parent, whatever the ideology, would be proud of. And maybe one of the three? You know how much of an honor it is to be educated. A blessing I will forever be thankful for. It just seems something is missing and if you can’t run your home you certainly can’t run a country. I must say i do not know a single person who finished college then had children that never even went. It’s perplexing. Thank you for your thoughtful reply.

        “half-termer”

        ———

Sarah Palin served 32 out of 48 months; the same percentage that Obama served of his Senate term (not including the two-year break he spent campaigning) and accomplished everything she set out to do in that time.

Sarah Palin resigned because she recognized the cost that the frivolous ethics complaints were having on her state , and she saw how much of her staff’s time and her own time were forced to deal with those issues.

That entire campaign of BS lawsuits was meant to do nothing but hamstring the governor’s office and bankrupt Sarah Palin.

She saw that if she stayed on as Governor it would continue to cost the state millions of dollars in wasted time and resources to defend against false and maliciously ethics complaints and doom it to gridlock.

She & her staff were spending 80% of their time defending lawsuits & dealing with FOIA requests… that take an enormous amount of time to process… instead of doing the job she was elected to do.

Those frivolous lawsuits had already cost the state of AK close to $2 million; Sarah Palin had over $500,000 dollars in legal fees.

        http://articles.ktuu.com/2009-07-09/ethics-complaints_24126005

Sarah Palin knew that for the sake of her state, her country, her family, and her political voice, it would be best if she stepped aside from the governorship. She resigned so the state could move forward.

Education Lesson on Ronald Reagan Conservatism, 101 Take notes

Ronald Reagan’s Speech in 1977 CPAC Speech

        quote-
“I have always been puzzled by the inability of some political and media types to understand exactly what is meant by adherence to political principle. All too often in the press and the television evening news it is treated as a call for “ideological purity.” Whatever ideology may mean—and it seems to mean a variety of things, depending upon who is using it—it always conjures up in my mind a picture of a rigid, irrational clinging to abstract theory in the face of reality. We have to recognize that in this country “ideology” is a scare word. And for good reason. Marxist-Leninism is, to give but one example, an ideology. All the facts of the real world have to be fitted to the Procrustean bed of Marx and Lenin. If the facts don’t happen to fit the ideology, the facts are chopped off and discarded.

I consider this to be the complete opposite to principled conservatism. If there is any political viewpoint in this world which is free from slavish adherence to abstraction, it is American conservatism.

Conservatism is the antithesis of the kind of ideological fanaticism that has brought so much horror and destruction to the world. The common sense and common decency of ordinary men and women, working out their own lives in their own way—this is the heart of American conservatism today. Conservative wisdom and principles are derived from willingness to learn, not just from what is going on now, but from what has happened before.

The principles of conservatism are sound because they are based on what men and women have discovered through experience in not just one generation or a dozen, but in all the combined experience of mankind. When we conservatives say that we know something about political affairs, and that we know can be stated as principles, we are saying that the principles we hold dear are those that have been found, through experience, to be ultimately beneficial for individuals, for families, for communities and for nations—found through the often bitter testing of pain, or sacrifice and sorrow.

“Let us lay to rest, once and for all, the myth of a small group of ideological purists trying to capture a majority. Replace it with the reality of a majority trying to assert its rights against the tyranny of powerful academics, fashionable left-revolutionaries, some economic illiterates who happen to hold elective office and the social engineers who dominate the dialogue and set the format in political and social affairs. If there is any ideological fanaticism in American political life, it is to be found among the enemies of freedom on the left or right—those who would sacrifice principle to theory, those who worship only the god of political, social and economic abstractions, ignoring the realities of everyday life. They are not conservatives.”

    “half-term governor of Alaska”
    —————

In an article Sarah Palin said:

“I said, ‘Enough. Political adversaries and their political friends in the media will not destroy my State, my administration, nor my family. Enough.’ I knew if I didn’t play their game any longer, they could not win. I would not retreat, I would instead reload, and I would fight for what is right from a different plane.”

She promised to keep the frivolous anti-Palin law suits away from the Alaskan people and to be more effective on the stump ( supporting candidates , fundraising, etc)

Sarah Palin was truthful on both accounts!

After the 2008 election Sarah Palin helped lead Republicans to the greatest congressional victory in several generations during the 2010 election;she has endorsed 73 candidates for the US House of Representatives and Senate; state governors and attorney generals. Her success rate is at 69%.
18 out of 20 targets in her Take Back the 20 campaign ; this is a 90% success rate!

Sarah Palin also had a very strong hand in the party’s few successes during this election . Sarah Palin campaigned for constitutional conservatives llike Ted Cruz, Deb Fischer, Jeff Flake, Paul Gosar, resulting in 5 conservatives being elected to the Senate and 32 conservatives to the House.

In 2010, Sarah Palin backed South Carolina’s Tim Scott. He won in 2010 and he won the re-election. She backed other African Americans like Allen West and Mia Love. Both of those candidates narrowly lost their races by 2,000 votes in the case of Love and 1,000 votes in the case of West.

Sarah Palin has also penned commentary on such topics as the unrest in Libya, the protests in Wisconsin, Obama’s 2012 budget proposal and State of the Union address, getting tough with Iran and standing with Iranians who seek democracy, challenging the specifics of President Obama’s energy policy, the omnibus spending bill, defeating the New START, opposition to state bailouts, tax policy, a message to Republican freshmen in Congress, opposition to quantitative easing, and more.

She has repeatedly been a leading voice—via television appearances and speaking engagements—against the dangers of ObamaCare and the risks of President Obama’s approach to energy.

  • Jackgpe

In Alaska, Sarah Palin’s top priorities included fiscal restraint, limiting the size of government, resource development, education, equitable oil valuation as well as transportation and infrastructure development. Sarah Palin fought for ethics reform and transparency in government.

She has cut spending, forward-funded education, and paved the way for job growth in her hometown.
Sarah Palin has fought to reduce spending and to enforce fiscal discipline as governor of Alaska. She has drastically reduced the growth of the state budget, which has helped to produce a record budget surplus.

She cut spending and vetoed hundreds of millions of dollars in spending, not because times were tough, but because she wanted to keep government small and solvent.

She reformed Alaska’s pension system and used surplus dollars to help pay down underfunded pensions, which reduced Alaska’s liabilities by 34.6 % to help provide analysts at Moody’s with enough confidence to later upgrade Alaska’s credit rating to AAA.
She also reduced earmark requests for the state of Alaska by 80% during her administration.

Sarah Palin succeeded to a remarkable extent in settling what had seemed insoluble problems, in the process putting Alaska on a trajectory to financial well-being.

    This is strong financial management.

Under her leadership, Alaska has invested $5 billion in state savings, reformed education funding, and implemented the Senior Benefits Program, which provides support for low-income Alaskan seniors. She’s also established Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to provide oversight and maintenance of oil and gas equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.

Taking on corruption and crony capitalism has always been a cornerstone of Sarah Palin’s agenda; in Alaska she did take on the old-boy network — the oil companies and her own party .
As oil and gas commissioner, Sarah Palin called out the unethical practices of members of her own party.
As Governor, she sought to end the back room deals and improper relationships between oil companies and politicians.

After poring over thousands of emails (24,000+ pages of emails) from Palin’s term as governor, even the mainstream media has been forced to concede that Palin was a conscientious, transparent, and effective public servant.

D.C.: Cut the Drama. Do Your Job.

Americans are sick and tired of yet another ginned-up crisis. D.C. needs to grow up, get to work, and live within its means. The real economic Armageddon looming before us is our runaway debt, not the sequester, which the President advocated for and signed into law and is now running around denouncing because he never had any genuine intention of reining in his reckless spending.

Remember that this sequestration deal came about because of the long debt ceiling standoff in the summer of 2011. It wasn’t the ideal outcome for anyone, but it did at least include real deficit reduction of about $110 billion per year for 10 years, which is still nowhere near enough to close our massive deficit. Keep in mind that since the sequester passed, the President has already hit American families and small business owners with his tax increases, or “more revenue” as he likes to call it. The American public doesn’t want tax increases; we want government to rein in its overspending.

If we can’t stomach modest cuts that would lower federal spending by a mere 0.3% per year out of a current federal budget of $3.6 trillion, then we might as well signal to the whole world that we have no serious intention of dealing with our debt problem.

If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.

If we ARE serious about putting our fiscal house in order, then let’s stop the hysterics, tighten our belts, and take our medicine.

i don’t think simply pointing out that Mrs. Palin resigned from office a little after two years qualifies as ‘getting under someone’s skin’ or ‘obsessing over her’ (after all, these people are responding to a Tweet she made and not talking about her out of the blue)

i loved Sarah Palin when she first came onto the scene in 2008 but was very much disappointed in her when she chose to resign. it definitely knocked her down a peg or two in my eyes.

They might be sensitive due to the fact that no other politician has gone through what she has in the last 4 years. The things done to her and said about her 99% of them are grossly untrue and taken to levels of gross beyond what anyone could classify as fair game.

          • Eric Schmitt

it’s true that Sarah Palin has been unfairly attacked. that doesn’t mean any type of criticism of her constitutes an unfair attack. like i said, the way some on the right seem to worship Sarah Palin, and have this knee jerk reaction to defend her against anything they consider a a personal attack (regardless of whether or not it is) isn’t any better than the way the left worships Barack Obama and have a knee jerk reaction to defend him.

          • http://www.facebook.com/corey.dennison Corey Dennison

“…some people say” or “…some people insinuate” = strawman argument set-up.

so you don’t think some people worship the ground this woman walks on?

          • Section 9

          • Eric Schmitt

i’m just speaking from personal experience. i don’t often people on conservative blogs and websites offer a lot of criticisms about her, at least in the comments sections or when people do, they get piled on by people having this reaction to defend her. again, i’m just speaking from personal experience. one perfect example would be this website itself.

          • http://www.mrltavern.com/ Mr.L

Maybe it’s because you’re going from blog to blog asking the same questions over and over, questions that have already been answered about her 100X over and you still choose to remain somewhat ignorant about her and her record.

          • Finrod Felagund

In other words, he’s a concern troll.

          • Section 9

            This is easy.
To your first point; oftentimes, Palin will be attacked, especially over at Hot Air, by representatives and defenders of a deeply bankrupt, Petainist, Republican Establishment who don’t have the standing to critique Palin any longer. Certainly not after their disastrous outing with Mitt Romney as the GOP standard bearer.
These Republicans only want power for themselves, and fear Palin’s reformist instincts. They want a return of Bushite, Big-Government Republicanism, in which the GOP becomes Pepsi to the Democratic Party’s Coca-Cola. That’s what we got under Bush, and I don’t want a return to it. That’s what we would have received under a Romney Presidency.
As to Palin’s mistakes, they are easy enough.
Her 2011 effort was an absolute fiasco from the word “go”. There was every indication she was going to run, but she allowed the GOP Establishment and her “friends” at FNC to steal a march on her. They backed her into a corner in which a Palin Campaign that year became an impossibility.
She is also too charitable from time to time with her enemies. More scorched earth, please. She needs to hire goons like Obama does and put them into Oppo research. Palin is too nice, sometimes.
Her ACES tax may need some alteration, as it was the result of a compromise with Democrats in the State Senate who wanted to soak the oils. ACES was a product of Alaskan oil politics as it existed prior to the Bakken Oil Strike in the Dakotas, and now needs to be changed. Palin herself wanted lower rates, but Senate Dems wanted higher ones, and she had to compromise for higher rates to get the bill passed. It’s a reasonable tax, but it will need to be adjusted down because of competitive pressures from the Dakotas. So while not necessarily a Palin “mistake”, Sarah, and other members of the Alaskan governing classes, can perhaps be taken to task for not being able to look into the future.
            So can we all.

          • http://www.mrltavern.com/ Mr.L

Every politician in America Reagan, JFK, Clinton, Obama had throughout history had a solid clan of “worshipers” as you call them. In the real world of politics they’re simply supporters. the difference between Obama and Palin supporters is, Palin is the real deal and not a double talking fraud who promised everything and delivered nothing. Palin supporters know her, who she is and her record and to us that’s worth defending.

No she isn’t free from judgment. But if the judge is making the argument that all we need in Washington are more politicians who sit around for decades, then it’s pointless. Focus more on what someone does as opposed to how long they sit there. Anyone can do that.

          • Eric Schmitt

i don’t remember making the argument that we need more politicians that sit around in Washington for decades. i actually hate intrenched incumbency. all i was saying that it was disapointed that Gov. Palin resigned when i would have liked to have seen her serve out a full, single term.

          • http://www.mrltavern.com/ Mr.L

You mean like Obama? Do some of you even hear yourselves when you’re commenting? Obama has served a full term, how is that working out for us? Listen if you’re under 25, listen kid, life isn’t a scene from a locker room in a movie like Friday Night Lights where it’s really cool when the coach tells the team “not to quit” and all of that happy horse shit. Real life and the world, especially the political world, is a lot more complicated than that. Also, Jon Huntsman and Rick Perry served full terms. Rick Perry 3 and his constituents do not wish for him for another. How did those full terms work out for the both of them on the 2012 campaign trail? It didn’t. One couldn’t get 2% of the republican vote and the other could barely keep it together in the debates. You hate intrenched incumbency? Perhaps you need to rethink your positions on Palin. Just because someone serves out a full term 1 or 2 or whatever, doesn’t mean they’re not intrenched. it usually means that they are intrenched.

You are such a RINO liar.

Would you prefer that she and her family went bankrupt by going along with Libs games?

      • Eric Schmitt

not really, but she is not the first governor in the history of the country to run into trouble while she was in office, and not everyone that does resigns. i’m sure she had good reasons to do so and that was her right, i’m just saying that i was personally dissapointed.

but yeah, you’re right; i’m just a ‘RINO’ or whatever because i don’t worship the ground a politician walks on.

and another thing; how am i a ‘liar’?

        • TEXs

Sarah Palin was the first and the ONLY Governor in history to be
by the law at the time, it has been changed after she resigned, responsible to defend herself with her own money against phony lawsuits by her political enemies.

That loophole in the law gave Libs the chance to try to financially ruin and bankrupt Gov. Palin and her family.

          Their scam didn’t work.

Sarah Palin left Alaska in great shape with $14 billion surplus in the bank, and went on to do bigger and better things for herself, for her family, for her beloved Alaska and for the USA.

          • Eric Schmitt

there is no doubt that Mrs. Palin did a great job as governor.; by all accounts. there’s a reason she had like what? an 80% approval rating at one point? again by all accounts she ran her state damn well. i never said she didn’t.

i’m not sure what you mean by “Sarah Palin WAS the first and the ONLY Governor in history to be by the
law, it has been changed after she resigned, responsible to defend herself against phony lawsuits by her political enemies.” are you saying that she’s the first governor in history that had to defend herself against lawsuits filed against her? yeah, those bullshit lawsuits shouldn’t have been filed against her and she shouldn’t have to deal with it. my only point was that it was sad to see her resign.

and by the way, you should seriously consider getting a job writing press releases for her.

you also didn’t answer my question; how am i a ‘liar’?

          • Jackgpe

Dude, the Ethics Act could not be reformed until she resigned. The Ethics Act as it stood would not allow her to escape paying for her defense on her own which cost her $500K. She made 123K per year. How much would you spend to be a lame duck Governor?

          • http://twitter.com/LNSmithee L.N. Smithee

Eric, let me try to explain this to you, since you don’t seem to get it.

Imagine you got a dream job; a job that you loved, and did well. Now, imagine that out of nearly a million people, there were a handful of malcontents who didn’t like the job you were doing, and started filing complaints about you. All of the complaints are absolute BS, but in the eyes of the law, every complaint had to be investigated by the company. Oh, and another thing: By law, the company could NOT represent your interests. You need to retain your own legal counsel at your expense.

Month after month, your name is cleared, just in time for another bogus accusation to arrive. More time away from the job you love and do well, more of your hard-earned money going to pay lawyers to defend you from complete BS. You continue to do the job well, but the headlines all read that you’re getting complaints filed against you all the time, and that there must be a fire somewhere under all that smoke.

Soon enough, the only thing you’re doing at work is working to “clear your name” even though you haven’t done a maddog thing wrong. The legal bills are eating into your savings. You get the idea to raise money to help pay for your legal bills the same way that another person in your position (in this case, Bill Clinton) did. The complainers file a complaint saying you can’t have that help. So, everything you’re doing to help the company has now been negated and swallowed up by people who have NO LIFE outside of hating your freakin’ guts, and it’s actually costing you money to come to work every day.

THAT is what it was like to be Sarah Palin after the 2008 election.

Now, Eric, tell me: If you had options other than to continue in THAT situation even in your dream job, wouldn’t you seriously think about finding better ways to use your talents?

          • http://www.mrltavern.com/ Mr.L

Show me another Governor who would’ve faced what she did in this country after such an election like that. She was a target because she was thought of by the left as getting in the way of the first black Hawaiian Jesus’ historic election. If the financial crisis did not happen, it’s very likely we would’ve been discussing Vice President Palin right now. She lit McCain’s campaign on fire and presented the only threat to Obama after Hillary Clinton suspended her campaign. She was a target for destruction and many filing those idiotic complaints were working for Obama’s campaign in Alaska. The reasons have been made clear by several others here in this thread and to say that you do not understand the conditions that led to her resignation, then you are being disingenuous. I think where you’re unclear about her resignation is you think that other governors would’ve fought the complaints tooth and nail. Well, that’s because many who are politically connected have a lot of money and they can lawyer up with that money and they don’t care how much state time and resources are wasted. She wasn’t rich at the time and if her and her husband would’ve fought they wouldn’t had a pot to piss in at the end of it. she had no one backing her up, she had no help from the national republican party who she had raised millions of dollars for in the campaign. Democrats who once worked with her were now out to get her and she’s the type of politician who doesn’t like wasting state time or misusing taxpayers dollars. And like someone else here astutely pointed out, the Ethics Act could not be reformed until she resigned. The Ethics Act
as it stood would not allow her to escape paying for her defense on her
own which cost her $500K. She made 123K per year. How much would you
spend to be a lame duck Governor?

Governor Palin just wrote the following via Facebook:

D.C.: Cut the Drama. Do Your Job.

Americans are sick and tired of yet another ginned-up crisis. D.C.
needs to grow up, get to work, and live within its means. The real
economic Armageddon looming before us is our runaway debt, not the
sequester, which the President advocated for and signed into law and is
now running around denouncing because he never had any genuine intention
of reining in his reckless spending.

Remember that this sequestration deal came about because of the long
debt ceiling standoff in the summer of 2011. It wasn’t the ideal outcome
for anyone, but it did at least include real deficit reduction of about
$110 billion per year for 10 years, which is still nowhere near enough
to close our massive deficit. Keep in mind that since the sequester
passed, the President has already hit American families and small
business owners with his tax increases, or “more revenue” as he likes to
call it. The American public doesn’t want tax increases; we want
government to rein in its overspending.

If we can’t stomach modest cuts that would lower federal spending by a
mere 0.3% per year out of a current federal budget of $3.6 trillion,
then we might as well signal to the whole world that we have no serious
intention of dealing with our debt problem.

If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual
spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits,
then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to
default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in
    case of civil unrest.

If we ARE serious about putting our fiscal house in order, then let’s
stop the hysterics, tighten our belts, and take our medicine.

    – Sarah Palin

    • $23629333

The second-last paragraph is the one I hope is repeated EVERYWHERE. Thanks to the folks in charge – who are shepherding (and will benefit from) the ongoing transformation – America will be descending into Argentinian-level bankruptcy, and then “civil unrest.” That’s why the “feds are stockpiling bullets” and seeking to disarm the soon-to-be (p-word)-off populace.

        • Jackgpe

Sarah Palin was the only thing that kept McCain competitive. When she was brought on board, the enthusiasm immediately changed.

Where McCain had struggled to fill an arena, lines outside events featuring Palin seemed miles long.

Polls show a sustained 6 point bump for the campaign, one that put them ahead of Obama for the first time, right after Sarah was chosen, and gave her speech at the Republican convention.

McCain would maintain this lead until the financial meltdown, and he decided to suspend his campaign to head off to Washington without a real plan of action. It was a fatal mistake and one a smart campaign manager would have advised against, but we’re talking Steve Schmidt here, so smarts don’t enter into the equation.

In Pew’s exit poll in 2008, voters who said Palin was a factor in their vote went for McCain by a 56-43 margin!

Sarah Palin energized the Party, and carried Senator McCain farther than he could have possibly gone without her.

Schmidt mismanaged the McCain 2008 presidential campaign by suspending McCain’s campaign during the financial crisis and then tried to rewrite history afterward in order to falsely blame everyone — especially Sarah Palin — for McCain’s loss, except himself.

Steve Schmidt was able to scapegoat Sarah Palin for his own disastrous ineptitude despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. That was because the media hated Palin and her popularity was perceived as a threat to their Party.

Same old bullshitty from 2008. Newsflash, its 2013 and Obama was elected to fix the economy and it still sucks. Please back up your claim that Palin lost the independent vote. last time I looked McCain was at the top of the ticket you jerk. Oh yeah, he’s still alive by the way.

          • salvagesalvage

It does indeed still suck but it sucks slightly less than unders Bush who took a great economy and wrecked it by the way. Another mess for Obama to clean up.

I can back up my claim by pointing out how she didn’t win, nether did McCain and one of the many reasons is his choice of VP was shockingly stupid.

Obamao isn’t telling anyone to get back to work…

      Obamao quit on:
      Jobs
      The economy in general

Cutting the deficit in half in his first term
      Transparency
Producing a budget on time, or ever for that matter (last budget was before the iPad was released)

      • salvagesalvage

Another hysterical thing about wingnuts is they actually found ways to complain about Obama whacking bin Laden. I have to admit even I was a bit bemused when they let their petty hatred override their constant urge to chant “USA! USA! USA!” when the White House announced Osama dead.

If Bush had actually done what he swore he was going to do about the guy behind 9-11? The wingnuts would have howled that he was the saviour and avenger of America and demand the Rushmore expansion begin immediately.

See it’s the deliberate and obtuse inconsistency that really defines them.

You see, dumbass–a strawman argumnent is where you take a point that NO ONE on the other side made, and argue against it, such as saying that ‘we’d’ rather Osama were still alive, and then give some bogus reason for it.

You really suck, don’t you? Here’s a hint for you, scooter: When you’re getting your ass handed to you on a comment thread like this, it’s best to just cut your losses and move on to the next thread (where you’ll likely get your butt kicked there too)

          • salvagesalvage

Yes they were thrown out and yet she still quit! And of course she resigned before the book and TV and Fox deals, she quit so she could take those deals because they are less work (or at least less boring work) than being governor.

Tell that to Harry Reid, Sarah. Nothing passed by the House makes it to the Senate floor. With all the RHINOS in both houses maybe that is a good thing.

  • Jackgpe

There has not been one aspect of Palin’s life and career that has not been chewed over, criticized and lied about by her enemies; she has withstood the slings, barbs, bullets, and arrows that would have fallen a lesser person.

Soon after Palin entered the national political scene as Arizona Sen. John McCain’s GOP running mate, she was attacked as a diva, a clothes hog, an irresponsible mother and a political mercenary. They dismissed what she achieved as mayor of her hometown, commissioner of the state’s oil and pipeline board and governor of America’s largest state.

Sarah Palin’s enemies decided that nothing was too personal to attack-including her marriage, her children, her faith, and her wardrobe.

The media distorted Palin’s positions and beliefs beyond recognition. And almost every word out of her mouth was spun as a “flub”.

The media hounded her, and her family, on a daily basis, flat out making crap up (like that she, personally, shot wolves from the air). They claimed her baby was not her own; used despicable language to attack her, and her family; sent numerous reporters to Wasilla to dig up dirt on her ; AP reporters “factchecked” her book; accused her of being an accomplice to murder, her email hacked by the son of a Democrat congressman, political operatives filing endless bogus ethic charges designed to bankrupt a working family with a special need toddler and much more.

Obsessive news hounds scrounged through pages and pages of Palin Emails (24,000+ pages of emails from Palin’s term as governor), looking for damning information that could wipe the outspoken conservative from America’s political scene.

What they found was the inner workings of an efficient, informed and very involved governor that mounted an unprecedented 80 plus approval rating while in office. Those emails revealed a hard-working, committed public servant. Even the mainstream media has been forced to concede that Palin was a conscientious, transparent, and effective public servant……..not exactly what the death squads of WaPo, the NYT, and other mainstream outlets had in mind.

There were no sex scandals, no lewd twitter photos, no misuse of taxpayer dollars, and no malicious behavior, whatsoever. Just a governor doing her job.

This shockingly laughable scenario is in sharp contrast to the manner in which the media handled Barack Obama, whom it woefully failed to properly investigate in 2007-08.

The media , Hollywood and the REP establishment have done everything they can to vilify Sarah Palin and her family but despite a massive effort to destroy her, she is still on her feet and making a difference in the political world.

By the way, if Obama received half of the bad press that Sarah Palin does, his favorables would be in the low 30’s

  • Ronald

Lefty obstructionists? I think this is an attempt by Palin to rewrite the narrative. The majority of the country think it is Republicans that are obstructionist. So Palin has some work to do if she’s going to successfully change the majority’s perception. Personally, I think both sides are obstructionist as there is very little cooperative action in Washington. “Get to work” goes both ways.

You stated earlier “I am single and well to do with a potential to earn much more.” However, capitalization is not your strong suite and you use name calling to make up for a lack of an intellectual argument. #smh

*Not a kid, but do play video games.

This is just a dumb thing to post, even for a troll poster like you. I hope your parents don’t find out you posted this here, otherwise they might have to move out of shame for having given birth to you.
I really hope that nobody is actually paying you good money to post this merde.

And yet no one on MSNBC, NBC, ABC or CBS is calling Shailey for an interview to yet again “take down Sarah Palin”. Strange. I believe that you do protest too much about nothing.

  • SpinMeNot

You are an Idiot. For you, I’ll capitalize Idiot. I bet you think BHO cares about the poor — If the measure of caring for the poor is expanding their ranks, well I guess he does.

more evidence to your half baked character as a human being: taking the word of a street HO.

  • http://www.facebook.com/lisa.dean.564 Lisa Dean

I take it you never snuck around to have sex as a teenager. That explains a lot.

  • $36103485

Because NBC is owned by the largest defense contractor, GE. There is no liberal media. The media mistakenly thinks it’s simply the story of infidelity but the actual accusation is of a criminal nature. Only in a country so unenlightened and warlike as ours can the “liberal” media be owned by defense contractors and fortune 100 companies. I would love to have been a fly on the wall when the half–baked alaskan caught wind of that book and the “description. Whew.

  • $36103485

Sadly, I did. I regret it now but I was caught flagrante delicto at age 15 and the first thing my girlfriend’s liberal parents did was ban me from the house and put her on the pill. Funny, neither of us ever became parents. But they didn’t become grandparents of two by age 45.

  • $36103485

My parents didn’t become grandparents until they were past their mid 50’s. My sister didn’t pass out on wine coolers in a tent at 16. She was raised better than that. She was a successful 31 year old woman when she had her only child, my niece.

  • daeghrefn

No, she meant “real” sex, not the retrograde fantasies of a 52-year-old Palin-obsessed moonbat.

  • SpinMeNot

That is the best news I’ve heard all day, you have no offspring. What the hell is wrong with being a grandparent at age 45? What gives you the right to decide when people can have children, and at what age is it appropriate to be a grandparent?

Why don’t you grow up and realize you have no right to tell anyone what age is appropriate to be a grand parent. Just another tin pot tyrant that would wet his pants at the first sign of real trouble.

Cowards like you turn my stomach.

  • daeghrefn

And this is, what, your 58th comment on someone who’s irrelevant? LOL

  • Maxx

Wrong. Obama resigned BEFORE becoming President. He spent 46 months in office with the last 21 campaigning for the position. At least Palin pursued other goals on HER time.

    And it’s Khloe, not Chloe.

  • SpinMeNot

No liberal media — and you think Sarah Palin is ignorant. You do understand that Obama’s biggest donors have come from GE, Wall Street, and Corporate America? BHO is a statist corporatist. He rails against the very people that support him, and yet they still support him. GE is in everything they do for the money, and BHO has given them lots of it (when was the last time they paid taxes, when have you heard BHO bad mouth GE?)

There are many liberal defense contractors. Defense is a giant teat ready to be milked with very little accountability. Just the kind of environment liberals like.

No one in this country cares about the poor. I disagree with the drone program, the continued give-away to big pharma, the unending military-industrial complex and the wimpy reaction to the gun nuts. But he was the best choice in ’08 and ’12. I could vote for a person like Governor Christie but he will probably have to run as a Democrat. The Tea Party/grifter granny wing of the Republican party has seen to that. What do you disagree with the grifter granny on?

  • $36103485

You can’t spin spinmenot because he is far too dizzy already. It’s people like you that opposed former Republican Senator and war hero Chuck Hagel out of fear he will not support the next war. Bush started two wars and President Obama is ending them, sort of. They both show fealty to the military industrial complex but President Obama will not start wars of choice like the Neo-cons like you.

  • $36103485

One of the top on their own. If you add all the companies they own they are always number one or two. What’s the difference when it’s billions a year to each of them? The MSM has overseen a country where Reagan would be a Democrat today. So, the empire falls. Good riddance. Britain survived after their empire failed and so will we. As far as the half-term governor? Just an ignorant person cranking out more ignorant people. Levi Johnston has increased the gene pool, i assure you.

See there you go making more sweeping statements that are completely untrue. I care about the poor, as do many people here. I ponied up roughly 17% of my six-figure salary to charities that work with the poor in the region where I live. I volunteer my time through JA and other mentoring programs.

You are just another clueless liberal-progressive that believes they have the right to tell other people what to buy, what to think, and what to believe. You believe you have the right to away the rights of others that you don’t want them to have. You believe that anyone that doesn’t believe what you believe is an ignorant, uneducated, racist throwback to the middle ages.

  • $36103485

Libertarian before Libertarianism was trashed. Good for you in regards to your generosity. You are living in a country that perpetuates wars of aggression and income disparity as a matter of policy, Republicans and Democrats. My issues are only two-Wars of aggression and keeping religion out of the public square. So in the meantime, I’ll vote Democrat.

  • SpinMeNot

You aren’t a libertarian, claiming you are is delusional. Nothing I have seen on this thread lends credence to that claim. Line up with the rest of the sheep, and admit you are a liberal.

  • http://www.mrltavern.com/ Mr.L

Libertarians of today are nothing more than left wingers who have an understanding of the constitution and are good on fiscal issues. If you keep voting Democrat you can’t be a libertarian because that would make you poor on fiscal issues.

  • $36103485

In the mean time, yes. Only because the offerings on the republican side have been so puny. I voted twice for Mitch Daniels. I remember when he said to republicans to put social issues on the side. I thought “dang, now he will never be president.” Great Governor and a true gentleman. Herman Cain, the freak from Pennsylvania in a sweater, Bachman, Newt, Governor oops and Willard Mitt. That all you got?

  • SpinMeNot

I had a point by point response in mind but you simply aren’t worth it. A liar tells me I’m a neo con, when he has no idea who I am. I am older than you by a good bit and actually have a 201 file. Lots of people that served in Viet Nam have purple hearts, lots of people don’t. Having a purple heart does not indicate heroism. It indicates that an individual has been wounded, in battle, as a direct result of enemy fire. Lots of people that served in Viet Nam never came home, those are the real heroes.

Chuck Hagel is an anti-Semite, and that is why I oppose him. You are liar, and that is why I oppose you.

  • http://www.mrltavern.com/ Mr.L

Benedict Arnold was in the military too. Obama is not ending any wars. And if he ends presence in Afghanistan it will just continue to be a hell hole and you should check what’s been going on in Iraq lately. How is that Arab Spring working out for you?

  • http://www.mrltavern.com/ Mr.L

There’s very little difference between Obama and Bush except Obama has killed more civilians with drones than Bush ever did in his whole 8 years. That was after Obama promised he wouldn’t wage war that way in 2008 on the campaign trail. He’s a fraud.

  • SpinMeNot

You have proven my points about you, and I appreciate the cooperation, I don’t need to bring more. At 64 I’ve got more than you’ve ever had.

  • $36103485

Look, I don’t want to discount your “service” to the country but no war since Korea has served our national interests. Chuck Hagel is no anti-semite and as a Jew I think I would be attuned to that. You seem like a neo-conservative because you glorify shooting and combat. Not a single man who died in Viet Nam died for a worthwhile purpose. Not one! Let me ask you a question. Is there anywhere at all that Israel and the U.S. have different national interests? That will tell me if you are a conservative or a neo-conservative. Remember, Neo-cons are ultra liberals who want the U.S. fighting wars of aggression incessantly and that is what will bankrupt this nation. Then Israel will be forced to go it alone.

  • Zanshi

Typical leftist thug. Always the personal attacks on people you hate.

  • Zanshi

That was said by Tina Fey IMPERSONATING Palin on SNL. Who doesn’t have their facts straight again? Moron.

  • SpinMeNot

Really, you can tell if I am an ultra-liberal or a conservative based on my answer to one question? Is it nice on your world?

I will answer your question — there are a series of treaties between the US and Israel that identify where the National Interests of Israel and the US intersect, there are 30+ treaties in all and six of the deal with issues related to peace and military cooperation. There are also a number of places where the National Interests of the US and Israel diverge. However, this statement is true for any country that US trades with, and has treaties with. How does that tell you whether I am an ultra-liberal or a conservative. Any answer other than one I just gave you would intellectually dishonest, and only reflects on the integrity of the person providing the answer.

Glorification of combat and guns? What have I glorified? The US has treaties with Israel that cover obligations for support and defense if Israel is attacked. If Israel starts it, they are on their own. The only statements I have ever made about war/combat is that is is dirty nasty ugly business, if you attack us, you should expect a response in kind, and that people that haven’t been in combat do not have the right to lecture me about service or courage. I argued with with secession crowd about the stupidity of that idea at this time, because it would start a war, and there were many avenues that had not been fully explored. I glorify guns in as much as the Bill of Rights guarantees the right to keep and bear arms to every American citizen. The right to self defense is implicit in the inalienable rights called out called out in the 2nd paragraph of the Declaration of Independence.

And what gives you the right to put the word “service” in quotes with regard to my service? By the way, I have friends that didn’t come back from Viet Nam, and I take great offense at your statement that they died for nothing worthwhile. You did not know those men, the circumstances under which they gave their lives, and what gives you the right to determine to that their sacrifice was meaningless?

My grandfather left Lithuania because of the rising tide of antisemitism. Many of his family felt he was over-reacting. 25 years later, Einsatzgruppen III killed those members of his family that were still in Lithuania, or shipped them off to the camps. The problem was that after enlisting to fight in WWI he found antisemitism in the Army and back in the US after the war. Eventually he gave up his Jewish faith to be able to get work.

Being a Jew does not give one magical powers to recognize antisemitism. Hagel has made numerous negative statements about Israel, and has ties to organizations that openly hostile to Israel, including a number of speaking engagements. Hagel is at best openly hostile to the state of Israel, and by the company he keeps, and anti-Semite. He is an official point of contact between the US and Israel, now that he is SecDef. Rand Paul decided that Obama deserved something that he does not show Rand Paul and the other Republicans in Congress. Sen. Paul is not in the military, there is no requirement for him to salute the rank. Someone else used the phrase “courage of conviction” with regard to Sen. Paul and his vote. John Tower, Clarence Thomas, etc etc.

I never called you a leftist troll. It was painfully apparent that you are a Paulistinian. I did say I did not feel you were that bright, and the post to which I am responding does nothing to change my mind.

EDIT: I did call you a liberal progressive puke, I never called you a troll.

We have no business being on Cuba, Gitmo should be closed, the detainees should be tried, if not convicted released back to their country of citizenship.

I would love to see the entire federal budget cut across the board by getting rid of the baseline budgeting, redundancy and outright waste. I am a huge fan of government subsidizing vocational training programs and provide public works projects rather than just giving people a welfare check.
