My little town makes the news. Oh, the pride. My husband teaches there and it’s rather bizarre to read about this on a national website first. The last twit responding, hysterically calling for all guns to be banned, would be wise to note that the shooting did not happen on the college itself. It occurred on the grounds of a university affiliated housing complex.

I don’t appreciate hearing the dorm that my daughter is currently living in being referred to as affiliated with CCU. Since your husband teaches at CCU, you would be wise to note that UP is a part of CCU and is CCU housing. At least that is what we were assured of when we moved her in and paid the housing fees.

University Place is affiliated with Coastal and dorm space is leased out to the university. It is not on the campus itself and has a non university employed board of directors. Twelve percent of residents do not attend the university. That is the point I am making. You can choose to “not appreciate” this fact but that does not mean that the shooting occurred on the campus as some of these tweets imply. The campus was locked down as a precaution but, as you know, UP is over a mile away.

Well, if they had not had a car, they would not have been able to drive by … we need legislation to make cars illegal. You can’t buy a car without a background check! Death penalty for parking violations!

Wait, if there were no people, there would not be any shootings … until the chimps get the AKs … http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhxqIITtTtU

The preceding video again proves that the gun is not the real problem — the idiots that gave a loaded actual assault rifle to the chimp are the problem.

It never ceases to amaze me….these young minds of mush. “GUNS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL” and yet on most college campuses, drugs flow freely and of course, last time I checked, they were illegal.

What on earth are they teaching liberal kids these days that prevents them from using their common sense? Hey Gabbie, check the gun violence rates of cities where guns are already illegal…you know, like Chicago.
