Dear "news network": Rick Perry remains Governor of Texas firstread.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/02/…
Ah, real journalists:
Mondays are hard.
Is anyone surprised by anything that NBC does any more? They are experts at everything under the sun (just ask them) – everything that is except reporting the news accurately.
It’s out of sight, out of mind way out here in “fly-over country”.
Well it’s hard to write a decent story while sharpening your gossip columnist skills.
I’m sure Texans wish he was a former governor. His approval rating is in the toilet.
You shouldn’t be so sure.
Uh, with what demographic? I like Governor Perry, and so do the other members of my extended family and all my friends. We think he’s doing great. Most of the people I talk to say he is doing a bang-up job.
You can’t speak for ‘Texans’-you can only speak for yourself. Perry’s one of the reasons why we left Illinois for Texas 2 years ago. Since I’m one of those rare creatures-a cradle Jewish conservative-I’ll speak to you in the ‘language of my people: Perry and Abbot are menschen with chutzpah! Google it.
Do you live in Texas?? You don’t know s h i t….
So BARRY….If I may (and I don’t care if you don’t want me too)…See, the reason we (TEXANS) hate people like you is because of THIS (your annoying asinine snark). Please don’t speak in public to something you know absolutely nothing about. Just keep making comments on things you know well…like antifungal foot medication and Michelle Obama’s bangs.
~Sincerely, A TEXAN.
Well, look at you, out there all alone with your “I’m sure”, stuff. And not knowing a thing about Texas, or Texans you just open your mouth and s**t falls out. Where do you get your stats? Dan Rather? I’ll stand with Perry, my Governor. Whoop!
Approval rating: 41%
Disapproval rating: 54%
“Do you think Rick Perry should run for reelection next year?”
He should: 31%
He should not: 62%
Yeah, that’s a real popular guy. He won’t even win in the primary. I’m sure you Texans can find someone better than him – hopefully Greg Abbott.
Perry couldn’t even remember what program he wanted to cut. What a boob.
So, your “proof” is a PPP poll from *2011*?
Yeah, that’s real current info, chum.
I see it dated January 2013. Was it changed?
I’ll admit that I didn’t read the poll after seeing the link reference 2011.
So you pull a PPP poll (automated calls from Raleigh, NC), that ran on Huffpoo site, that interviews 500 Texans. Hog wash. Most of the people I know lie in every way possible when those calls come in. I will say Gregg Abbott is stirring interest and I like him. I think Perry has done a great job as Governor and I stand his record of service to this State. Having said that, Texas has no term limits for Governors, yet no Governor has served more than 7 seven years, except for 1. In general Texas does not want anyone so secure in his/her office that he/she thinks re election is a shoe in. There comes a time when new blood is needed to keep things from growing stagnant. I don’t think he was ready in 2012, he showed very poorly, and I don’t think he should have run. Some people make good Senators, but would stink as Governor or President. Not every great Governor would make a great President. Lets see what happens in 2016. I think we’ll have better choices then than we’ve had in the last 2 elections. And then there’s Sheila Jackson Lee….smh.
Basic research: How does it work?
How can Marco Rubio be a potential Presidential contender? He’s not eligible to run, how many times do I have to say it, he cannot run, damn if we just don’t keep shooting ourselves on the foot…His parents didn’t become citizens until late 1975, he was born in 1971 to Cuban Citizens, he can’t run period ever….
We badger about Obama being illegitimate and then do the very same same pushing Rubio, ignoring our Constitution, just one more Tea Party screw up after another!!!!
No wonder the morons on the left keep kicking our butts, and we call them stupid???
And what another Crappy list of presidential candidates, we are just so screwed up….
How many times do you have to say it?
How about zero, since you were wrong the first time?
I actually pray he runs and of course he’s eligible, you racist birther, lol.
But seriously, no one can watch this three-part interview from the Daily Show and not fall in love with the guy. Jon Stewart openly lamented that he was won over by Marco’s sheer “Rubio-ness” …. heck, his whole Left-wing audience was won over too by the congenial, soft-spoken straight shooter from Florida. And that entire incident set off shockwaves all the way up to chief fascist himself, George Fricken Soros!!! Their (the gatekeepers of fascism) shock and awe clandestinely subdued, their cloak and dagger resolution enormous …. plans to isolate, besmirch and destroy ….. of epic proportion!
This is no average white guy. Marco Rubio is a young, handsome, articulate, charismatic, and self made patriotic minority. And tragically, that evokes the most primal kind of centuries-old hatred in the DNC and they will leave no stone unturned trying to destroy this man of color they fear so much.
Why else would MSNBC play Rubio’s watergate 155x in one twelve hour period? This is profoundly telling, no?
Watch the whole video everyone (below), supporters and critics alike, before making your mind up about Marco Rubio, who by the way, is insistent upon building a wall. He is reaching out but not in stupid ways ….
If Rubio was born in Florida, he is eligible.
“ignoring our Constitution,” which ‘our’ are you referring to?
“keep shooting ourselves on the foot” sounds like a good idea, I suggest you do that ASAP, preferably while standing on half-full can of gasoline
Good luck trying to explain that ‘natural citizen’ vs ‘native citizen’ thingy in a Twitchy post, Jeff. You’re swimming in some mighty deep legal water LOL.
Marco Rubio himself was born in the US therefore he is an American citizen, he was born in Miami, last time i checked Florida is in the US, i live in Fl so I’m hoping it is.
It looks like they inserted Perry’s name between “Former” and “Sen. Rick Santorum”.
“Mondays are hard”….nope, Facts are hard.
Don’t confuse NBC with the facts. Let them live in heir fantasy world.
It’s one thing if a written piece has a typo or double entry, it’s quite another to have your narrative defined by editorial wishful thinking. That’s the problem with outfits like NBC — liberals will be the same feckless liars and demagogues they have always been — telling the truth is impossible. The truth to liberals is probably the most depressing thing in their petty, vanity dominated lives.
NBC= Nothing But Communists
