Shorter @ezraklein - Facts are only important if I agree with them.—

Facts? “Fact-checker” Ezra Klein doesn’t need no stinkin’ facts! WaPo’s Ezra Klein also doesn’t need to be based in reality either, evidently.
Here in DC, we can get a bit buried in Beltway minutia. The ongoing blame game over who concocted the sequester is an excellent example. But it’s worth remembering that the goalposts in American politics aren’t set in backroom deals between politicians. They’re set in elections. And in the 2012 election, the American people were very clear on where they wanted the goalposts moved to.
It totally wasn’t Obama. Because, Woodward. Or something.
Zing! You see, Bob Woodward recently penned an article wherein he points out that sequestration was Obama’s idea.
Scrambling to spin began immediately.
Truth? That doesn’t suit.
Poor, little Ezra has trouble dealing with facts. So, he just makes stuff up as he goes along. The mockery, and the lesson-teaching for little Ezra, was swift and awesome.
Lapdog 101: Facts don’t matter.
And an exit thought:
Boom. Alas, journalism is already on life-support. For whom the bell tolls? It tolls for thee, Fourth Estate.
We won’t hold our breath.
