Actress Stacey Dash asks Gov. Cuomo to abandon abortion push, embrace Jessica’s Law

On Friday night, Bill O’Reilly blasted New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo as “barbaric” for his push to ease abortion restrictions and failure to back Jessica’s Law.

Perhaps the most egregious situation is in New York State, where Governor Andrew Cuomo will not get behind Jessica’s Law. Cuomo does not seem to care about the safety of children; in fact, he’s behind a proposed new law that would allow abortions in New York to be performed at any time for pretty much any reason. That means if a 12-year-old girl goes in for an abortion, New York will not investigate how the girl got pregnant.

Looks like actress and outspoken Republican voter Stacey Dash was watching.

Dash also shared a new blog post on motherhood:

“It saddens me that being a wife and mother has been down graded and trivialized,” she wrote. “It no longer carries the sanctity and honor it once did. Which is why we are going to Hell in a hand basket.”

The horror!

Good for Stacey Dash. She stands by her beliefs, in spite, of the Hollyweirds. How do those people actually live with themselves?

    • wwbdinct

They can’t live with themselves. That’s why they’re intent on making everyone else miserable! But seriously, Andrew “for the children” Cuomo is an utter monster!

      • peteee363

senator menedez seems to be for the children, in the dominican republic.

        • Catchance

      • JINNASH

Your right about them not being able to live with themselves. Further evidence…..Substance Abuse. Look at the psych profile of addicts. Plenty of self-loathing.

  • Lady 12

She quotes the Bible on her blog header. And she’s pro-life. And she thinks with her head. What movies is she in? I have to purchase some of them.

    • $36544368

I have her movie “Clueless”, which is from the 80s. I’m not sure what else she’s been in.

      • Lady 12

Hey, she was in Renaissance Man! That’s a great movie!

        • $36544368

I will check it out. I love Marta…she’s got my back about what movies are good, and this is her second recommendation to me :-)

          • Lady 12

Best part- Renaissance Man is about an anti-army guy who loses his job and has to teach kids in the army, and while there, he gets his head straightened out.

      • disqus_LASIg6epmj

Clueless came out in 1995. :)

Sorry…I’m old…the years sort of run together these days :-)

If any liberal/progressive is reading this comment now please explain how people who claim to be empathetic to all and claim to be open minded would respond to Stacey Dash with such vile and ignorant words. They are not countering her ideas with ideas of their own. They just choose to be ignorant and trivialize her speech. Maybe the liberals/progressives need to start living by their own words and stop spreading their hate. It is obvious that the only time that they are open minded is when they are hearing others who believe in the same things as them. The compromise of ideas is not you just giving up what you believe in and only listen to me. Quit being so close minded. You expect those on the right to listen to you yet you trash those on the right with vile, profane and disgusting language. Language that is used to suppress ideas and people. If that is how you chose to live and that is the type of nation that you want to reside in, I suggest that you move to China, N. Korea, or any other nation where the exchange of ideas is banned. I am sure you will be much happier living in that society than here, where the exchange of ideas is supposed to be promoted, not ridiculed. Maybe if you would stop being so vile and shut your mouth and actually listen you might find that somethings that are said on the right do make sense. Until you do this understand that those on the right will also chose to keep their minds closed to your ideas no matter how much you scream, cry, annoy, or trash us. Respect is not exclusive it is mutual. If you respect me, I will respect you. If you disrespect me then you are nothing more than a petty, insecure and ignorant child and I have no time for you.

    • rinodino

Sorry not buying the hypocritical outrage plenty libs get called a bunch of crap from righties as well…. This site is just a small example

      • AaronHarrisinAlaska

So then the circle jerk of hate and vitriol is perfectly justified by that logic.

        • rinodino

Somebody has to be the ‘bigger’ party I only hope the moderate old school republicans take back their party

      • Catchance

Hmmmm… ‘bunch of crap’. That seems about right.

      • DV S1EOG

Hypocritical outrage? I am outraged and I, if you look at my comment history, will see that I am not out insulting liberals who actually want to have a real discussion. I don’t get nasty until I have had enough of their insults and ignorance.
Also, Republicans for 8 years dealt with nasty commentary by those on the left about GWB. Most of that commentary was vile, crude and disgusting. Now the Democrats have one of their own in office you are surprised that there are those on the right that are giving that all right back to you? So it is fine when Democrats are ignorant and nasty to those on the right when there is a Republican president but it is wrong when the reverse happens? That is true hypocrisy.
So sites like this shouldn’t exist? We all should just have to deal with left leaning sites like Media Matters? Those on the right are not allowed to have their voice and are not allowed to voice their outrage? Those on the right are just supposed to roll over and take constant beatings from those on the left? This is a nation of free speech and choice. So, if you do not like the free speech here then you have the choice to not enter this site.

        • jennifer larrea

you’re just as bad as the people you claim to know which btw you have NO idea what a real democrat is because if did you wouldn’t talk like that. I’mocrat to the . corecore. I believe in the woman’s right to choose because none of the people here should be judging her according to the morals you claim we democrats don’t have…. we don’t judge we want her to do she what is best for her…..why is it anyone’s business? yet here you are saying we are close minded……cute…..maybe you should focus on how to make the world better rather than worse because what you’re doing now isn’t working I’m sad you’re in the military and have to be true to a commander in chief that you would throw under the bus because “democrats are so close minded”

          • DV S1EOG

I think you need to go through and read the nasty, ignorant, racist remarks made towards Miss Dash because of her political views. Women do have the right to choose, not just about their health but also what they politically believe in and what they morally believe in. For people to be so disrespectful because she has a different moral and political stance then they do is just wrong, and yes, it is close minded. And yes, I do know what a real Democrat is, because I live in a “blue” state and am surrounded by them.

Also, about the right to choose, do you know what Gov. Cuomo’s abortion plan is? Do you realize that it is to legalize unrestricted late term abortions? That means that under his proposal, a woman who is a day away from delivering can go out and have the child aborted. She can have a doctor pull the baby mostly from her body and have the doctor sever it’s spinal cord to kill it. It would also make it so a 12 yr old could get an abortion and nobody could question how she even got pregnant which would make it easier for pedophiles to hide their crimes.I do believe that there should be the right of choice. I am not saying to overturn Roe V. Wade but there should be restrictions. If you are one to just see the word abortion and blindly agree with it with reading into what is being proposed then you are just a close minded person.

Now, about your statement about me being in the military. I do respect the POTUS no matter who it is and will follow all LAWFUL orders. The first statement in my oath was to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That being said, just because I am in the military does NOT mean that I have to also believe in all of his beliefs. I am allowed to hold my own beliefs and I am even allowed to speak about them as long as I make it clear that my beliefs are mine alone and are not, in anyway, an official stance of the DoD, US Army or any subordinate unit.

Finally, you can sit there and judge me but remember this. I will not remain silent when a conservative, woman or man, whether they are a minority or not, is being racially attacked because of their political or moral belief system. I do not like it when people racially attack any liberals/Democrats either. Those are just vile tactics used to suppress free speech and I don’t have to stand for it. Everyone in this nation has the right to be heard and only close minded, infantile, disgusting people use race to silence this right. This is my belief and moral compass, and I have stood up, put my life on the line and been willing to die for my beliefs. I have answered the call from my nation several times, in three different administrations. I have been to dangerous places and have witnessed things that you only see on TV or on the computer. Two of those administrations were Democrat administrations. I have done what has been asked of me, no matter what my political stance is. Can you say that you are willing to do the same? Are you willing to put everything on the line? You say that you are sad that I am in the military? What do you even know about? I don’t care if your brother, son, daughter, sister, mother, father, etc. had served, I can tell that you haven’t. Therefore, you don’t know s***! To you loyalty, duty, respect, self-less service, honor, integrity and personal courage are just words, to me they are values. They are a code to live by. Don’t you dare disrespect my service because you either didn’t understand what my point was or did not hold the same belief. You may have the right to speak but, you don’t have the right to disrespect my service. And when/if you respond, first read everything, my posts, the twitter statements about Miss Dash, even research past statements made towards Miss Dash and other minority conservatives. Understand that I was NOT trashing Democrats based on their political stance, I was angry about the ignorant and racist remarks made. And when/if you respond could you also use punctuation and proper sentence structure or at the least an improved sentence structure so it is a lot easier to understand? I have no idea what “because if did you wouldn’t talk like that. I’mocrat to the . corecore.” even meant.

It’s striking how rough many blacks are on black Republicans, but that’s because white Republicans routinely smear blacks as a lot of criminals and welfare cheats. If white Republicans cut that out, and stop accepting it from major Republican politicians (eg Gingrich, Romney and Santorum), Republicanism will become more socially acceptable among blacks. As it is now, black Republicans look like lapdogs for white racists.

      • mike_in_kosovo

but that’s because white Republicans routinely smear blacks as a lot of criminals and welfare cheats.

        It’s BOOOOSHs’ fault!!

        IOW, bullshit.

      • DV S1EOG

First, I have not heard any current Republicans directly call blacks criminals and welfare cheats. If you have proof of a particular Republican saying this then please let me know. When I say let me know, want direct links to full sound bites or full videos, not something that NBC has selectively edited. Otherwise, if when they are talking about a criminal element or people cheating on welfare and you automatically assume that they are just talking about black people then maybe the racism resides within you. Secondly, I agree that people need to stop with the racism but, this childish notion that I won’t stop unless they stop is foolish. Libs/Democrats put themselves on a pedestal saying how much better they are than conservatives/Republicans. Well if this is true then prove it. Prove it by not sinking down by using racist and sexist comments towards those on the right just because you do not agree with them. If you have a true argument then state it. The only people who resort to insults, especially those of the racist and sexist nature are those who know that they do not have a valid argument and are just trying to suppress someone else’s message.

        • sqeptiq

I reffed Newt Gingrich, who said blacks prefer food stamps to work; Rick Santorum, who said he didn’t want to tax folks for the benefit of “blah” people; and Mitt Romney, who said the NAACP wanted “free stuff,” an old Southern-style proxy attack on black folks generally. Those are prominent enough Republicans, Skippy.

          • DV S1EOG

Romney’s full statement was, “By the way, I had the privilege of speaking today at the NAACP convention in Houston and I gave them the same speech I am giving you. I don’t give different speeches to different audiences alright. I gave them the same speech. When I mentioned I am going to get rid of Obamacare they weren’t happy, I didn’t get the same response. That’s ok, I want people to know what I stand for and if I don’t stand for what they want, go vote for someone else, that’s just fine. But I hope people understand this, your friends who like Obamacare, you remind them of this, if they want more stuff from government tell them to go vote for the other guy-more free stuff. But don’t forget nothing is really free.”

So Romney really didn’t say that the NAACP wanted free stuff. His statement was edited to have it taken out of context.

Gingrich’s statement was, “And so, I’m prepared, if the NAACP invites me, I’ll go to their convention to talk about why the African American community should demand pay checks and not be satisfied with food stamps.”

This statement could be misconstrued so people could think it meant that blacks prefer food stamps but it also was taken out of context.

And with Santorum’s statement, the “blah” is debatable. Only he really knows what that meant. I am not going to defend him or trash him. I listened to his statement numerous times and it is possible he gaffed or it is possible that he stumbled in his speech.

If it was completely true that any one of these three had positively made the statement as you had put it I would say that their statements were reprehensible and that there was no excuse for them. That being said, it was obvious, after looking through numerous articles, published by writers from both sides of the fence that statements were purposely taken out of context to promote a negative image.

Now, if you believe that Democratic candidates have not made their own stupid and possibly racist remarks well you are wrong.

Biden: “They’re going to put y’all back in chains.”, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”, “You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent…. I’m not joking.”

Obama: “The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn’t. But she is a typical white person…” Not to mention he has proven to have some possible racist beliefs from his book, “Dreams from my Father” to his 20 year association with Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

So don’t paint your party as having clean hands when it comes to racist remarks. I will not defend anyone making true racist remarks but at least two of your examples were purely taken out of context, especially when you read the entire statement. If you are one that only gets your information from the mainstream media and accepts everything they say as gospel without ever questioning or researching their stories then I can see how you have been misled. Next time when you hear the news saying that someone has said this racist statement maybe you need to do your own research. The mainstream media has their own agenda. Just look at NBC who have now selectively edited 1 voice recording and 2 videos to purposely take what is said out of context. First they edited the 911 tape of George Zimmerman to make him look like a racist, .Then MSNBC edited a videotape of a Sandy Hook father’s testimony to make pro-gun rights people look like they were heckling, , plus their editing of Romney/Ryan campaign videos.

So before you start to immediately call racist, do some research and don’t just go off the word of reporters and opinion writers. Doing your own research makes you look more educated and less like a sheep, Skippy.

          • sqeptiq

All that verbiage (which I just skimmed, by the way) to demonstrate nothing more than that you’re determined to excuse blatantly obvious racist smears.

      • JINNASH

You have no proof. You are only repeating dishonest talking points. Since your argument has no foundation it is worthless.

Liberals and progressives hate good, free thinking people holding morals that they disagree with. That’s nothing new. And if they’re a minority going against the left’s policies of hate and dehumanization, that hate is doubled.

There is no place for leftist, ‘equality based upon your level of societal herd-mind’, ideals in a modern nation such as ours.

Leaving the abortion issue aside, not supporting Jessica’s Law should be enough to throw Cuomo out of office.
That fact that anyone wouldn’t support Jessica’s Law makes me reconsider their feelings on protecting children.
