Let the mockery begin: MSNBC political director David Axelrod becomes NBC analyst

Former Obama adviser and campaign strategist David Axelrod to join NBC News and MSNBC as a political analyst? That one gets a “BOOM!” (read: SQUEEEE!) from Politico’s Dylan Byers.

Heh. Just making the relationship official.

America has …

And sighs. America has lots and lots of heavy sighs.

Adding Snidely Axelrod will not change NBC’s Obama coverage one iota.

He was already in charge. It’s just out in the open now.

After reading your Snidely reference, I pictured Crazy Joe Biden as Inspector Fenwick. But after thinking about it, he’s more like the trailing end of Dudley’s horse.

      • Rabid

Actually his new title is Anal Cyst.

    • Scott Carroll

Chill out, this is just their spiffy new “Liberal Exchange Program”. Expect Chuck Todd to be named Obama’s Chief of Staff any day now.

yet another reason to cut your cable or dish, starve the beast!

  • V the K

That’s a switch. I thought MSDNC worked for David Axelrod.

  • driveswift

You guys know that half the Bush WH Press Corp works in the media too, right? Dana Perino? And NBC has had Michael Steele for years, former RNC chair… this is non-news.

    • TheCommonDominator

BUT @driveswift BUSH IS NOT PRESIDENT ANYMORE!!!!!!….let it go loser. JEEZ!

      • Ronald

That was not driveswift’s point at all. The point was that right-wing folks work in the media too — the mainstream media.

      Non-news for a non-thinker.

I seem to remember quite a bit of hand wringing and pearl clutching when Perino and Rove were hired at Fox. Now, liberals are saying this is not newsworthy. How deliciously predictable.

      • Ronald

Was it newsworthy when Rove and Perino were hired? I think it was. And I think this is too.

Seems like a perfectly natural progression
    Congrats, Comrade Axelrod

    This is news?

    • Axelgreaser

THIS IS NEWS? (Gasping) You might say so. You might say This is BIG news to anyone who has bothered to study Barack Obama and his oily, greasy ‘acension’ and the Marxist Svengali that facilitated this horror on America. Are you KIDDING?

      • therantinggeek

See my last comment to Jillane for a more thorough explanation :) Axelrod being made a political analyst at NBC isn’t anything new, given their respective track records (both very liberal).

Yes, I suppose it is. If you do not believe that to be the case, one wonders why you bothered to click on the link, read the material, and go as far as to comment.

      • therantinggeek

I just read your comment about how liberals say this isn’t newsworthy. I’m hardly a liberal. Apparently, my attempt at satire was poorly misinterpreted. :)

KEEPER OF THE FLAME THROWER, THE MAN WHO FREED SEAMUS FROM THE ROOF, and re-brander of shaky ‘corporate images’ to better promote political agenda’s, the man who through tireless, brilliant propagandist, sorry, that’s perhaps too ugly a word, whose ‘exposes’ of evil of, snarling ‘abusive Republican’s, freed women from backroom butchers lurking with coat-hangers and the resultant sepsis, the man who has a genius to float the nastiest of career ending rumors, a.k.a., ‘bomb throwing’, while adroitly escaping any hint of treachery by invoking the desclaimer: “I’m not saying that’s true, but it’s out there on the streets and people are talking about it.” David ‘dumpster diver’ Axelrod, who else. He’s coming out from the shadows, where he’s been working tirelessly for decades on behalf of ‘The Chosen One, Barack H. Obama, and who is now going to work for the White House’s other grist mill, directly after Media Matters, MSNBC, the left’s one stop Obama A$$-kissing grotto for the devoted and busy working and non-working Obamabot. Garbage in as you hustle out the door to either join the workforce or to pick up your Free phone and more garbage in as you drag yourself home with either an incredibly shrinking paycheck or a bagful of groceries for the family: Ripple, taco chips, the makings of the evening ‘blunt’ and a handful of disappointing, discarded Lotto tix that once again, didn’t rescue the purchaser from the Food Stamp existence the Democrat’s have assigned.

Learning perhaps from their legendary ‘shellacking’ of 2010 the Democratic Party Of Socialist-Marxists are cleary gearing up for ‘war’ and looking ahead to 2014 mid-terms. They and their state media cronies have successfully launched ‘Rubio: Watergate II’ and are more than likely researching, a.k.a., sifting through trash alongside the curb, or haunting courthouses for other grime, that they can scorch an upstart Dr. with, who dared cast scrutiny on the insane path to destruction they’ve placed America on. MSNBC’s carpentry shop is working on the finishing touches of Axelrod’s new roost so he may squawk more effectively the message of, ….of….what is the message? It’s so hard to keep straight. It’s not the bumper sticker classic: ‘Hope & Change.’ That’s become laughable. ‘Lean Forward’ is really betrays a little too much as it smacks of ‘communism’ and was a favorite catch phrase of Frank Marshall, the other half of two men who lab created the perfect political shill: Young Obamastein. Is it ‘Invest In America?’ But that too affords a little too much exposition as well, if you have a brain: “SOCIALISM” What then? ‘Fair Share For America’ No, that doesn’t work. Not when America’s Royal Family, our ‘Mom and Dad’ have blown approximately 1/2 million dollars through the tail pipes of AF1 and Af2 on ‘separate’ vacations, one of which was for golf lessons with a wealthy, 1%’er and alleged philandering sex addict. That sort of ‘visual’ makes the phrase ‘Fair Share’ seem smarmy and sound like something that might have been dreamt up during a strategy session at an oily public relations firm, perhaps one David Axelrod might have launched.

How about: “Arbeit Macht Frei!” It’s simple, in a language most ‘911’ voter’s would not be familiar with and it’s a ‘blast from the past’ for those who long for a simpler point in time.

  • TheCommonDominator

MSNBC has no credibilty as long as it pays Al Sharpton as a political analyst.

Anybody here remember The Sheik, the “heel” wrestling fans loved to hate, and made quite wealthy? If you remember him, you may also recall Abdullah Farouk. This guy was the manager of The Sheik, and may have been more hated than his protege.

Decades later we have Barack Obama and David Axelrod. The folks in charge – similar to wrestling promoters – have decided that Obama should be the champion, and THE “babyface” to boot. Axelrod – like Farouk – is the manager. His job is to advise, defend and speak on behalf of Obama. The Demedia* has a responsibility similar to that of the talking heads in wrestling; shaping everything Obama does and the heels** do to him to make him appear heroic and them horrible.

Whenever I see Axelrod, I imagine him wearing a fez.

    (* short for Democratic media)

(** those few Republicans and conservatives who publicly criticize and oppose Obama and the Democrats)

Oh good, no more sticking my finger down my throat to purge in the morning. All I’ll have to do is turn on MSNBC.

Oh, goodie! A fresh perspective on F and F, Bengazi, Solyndra, Sequester, etc. etc that’s like, totally unbiased and balance. Wait, did I just create MSNBC’s new catch phrase….”Unbiased and Balanced!”
