Having issues with account. If you received a direct message, don't click on the link. Working to resolve. Sorry for the inconvenience.—
Mayor Anthony Foxx (@MayorFoxx) February 09, 2013
Oh, dear. Charlotte’s Mayor Foxx’s Twitter account was hacked (or phished) yesterday afternoon.
Like Stephanie Cutter’s when she was phished, his Twitter feed started hawking body fat burners.
And the dreaded “did you see this pic of you?” direct messages.
Amy Cowman, an NBC reporter/anchor, did not heed the “do not click” warnings.
It appears my Twitter account was hacked, my apologies if you got a spam message from me!!—

Oh, sweetie. Bless your heart.
Her account is all good this morning.
Good morning everyone! It's Amy now, changed my password, sorry for anyone who got spam message! Tune in this morning we have lots going on—

Make sure the “lots going on” does not including clicking on phishing links, no matter how anxious you are to see pics of yourself. You’re welcome.
