Jesse Jackson tweets plea to Chris Dorner: ‘I understand your feelings of hurt and pain’

No matter where alleged cop-killer Christopher Dorner is holed up at the moment, there is no escape from the Rev. Jesse Jackson. Jackson posted a personal plea to Dorner on Facebook today and recommended some “good and credible people” in L.A.

My Letter & Plea to Ex-LA Cop Christopher Dorner

*Dear Christopher Dorner,

I understand your feelings of hurt and pain. I make this plea to you to stop spreading the pain, the hurt, and the fear. Please stop. Don’t take any more lives.

Christopher, your mother is distraught and deeply concerned for your safety. There are many good and credible people in Los Angeles who will help you. Danny J. Bakewell Sr. (The Los Angeles Sentinel’s Executive Publisher/CEO) ,Bishop Noel Jones, Bishop Kenneth Ulmer and Rev. Charles Singleton are all individuals I know personally. I promise that they will gladly receive you.

I will do whatever I can do for you without hesitation. Please contact me through Danny Bakewell at the L.A. Sentinel.

Rev, shouldn’t you be helping Jr stay out of prison?

    • TocksNedlog

Hey, he ain’t no miracle worker!

  • Canadian in USA

I’m kinda torn on this one. On one hand, I’m not a fan of “Rev.” Jackson, but I kinda support him trying to reach out to Dorner. I know Jackson’s plea will probably go unanswered, but at least he’s come out against Dorner’s actions.

    Perhaps I’m missing something?

    • NachoCheese (D)

That was my initial reaction as well, then I remembered it’s Jackson that we’re talking about…gotta be a money angle for him to insert himself in this.

      • Canadian in USA

        Or fame.

      • dmacleo

there is a possibility of white lapd vs oppressed black cop involved.

        • Adela Wagner

His son has “tarnished” his name, well even further than he already has. So he is out and about, sticking his face into things, to try and “save face”. Rhyme on Jessie, rhyme on…..Oh, and yeah, why not tell this nutcase to contact you directly?

    • Commie Juice

Torn? Jesse is a media who-are and race pimp. He doesn’t care about the victims unless they look like him. By the end of this, Chris Dorner will be a victim and hero because of people like Jesse and a complicit media. If you want to know this great moral man, Jesse Jackson, just ask Tamara Holder about him, she has all the intimate details on how great he is or you can ask his son when he gets out of prison. Anyone of them will vouch on Jesse’s greatness and intentions.

        Thanks, I needed that. :)

    • xx

Right!!! and thats the way it should be, Open minded.

    • Krazy Kent

      I’m inclined to agree…..and I….haaaaaaaaaate myself for saying this…..but…..
For all his race-baiting, fly-to-the-scene-of-the-horrible-crime antics, trying to get himself on the front page….every once in a rare blue moon, Jesse will do something commendable, and will actually take a stance I agree with.
Granted, it’s RARE…but it has happened. This may be one of those times.

      • dmacleo

if this were a white guy he would not say a thing.
if this were purely black on black he would not say a thing.
but because there is a possiblility of white vs black meme hes got a hard on right now.
don’t let his hard on steer your thinking.
        hes a puke.

    • KansasGirl

Once a media “whore”, always and media whore.

    • RightThinking1

He is a self-promoting opportunist. He’s trying to USE Dorner. If that sounds cynical, it is only because I have been observing Jesse at work for 40 years…., it is ALWAYS the same MO.

    • Joe White

He is calling for Marshall law! he is involved in hate talk towards white Americans! Fighting with odamnUSAmooslunhood to take away Americans guns?
Whom would we turn too if this lunatic (Dorner), had let’s say 50 other crazy police officers standing with him, If jackasson was to get our guns taken away?
He needs to stay out of Americans business and just work for the communist as he is presently doing! As he is a traitor first to God, then to the ones he act’s like he cares about!!

  • Steve_J

Jesse Jackson should worry about his kid and not someone he doesn’t know.

    • Kingofthehill

But he’s black, he must need Jesse Jackon’s help! it is his duty to help (Sarcasm)

  • Maxx

Good luck with the “Your pain runs deep, share it with me” strategy. It didn’t work out so well for Sybok.

  • Kingofthehill

what a schmuck. he’s such an attention whore

    • Jim Denney

      That picture says it all.

      • xx

        Good work Jimmy Klang!!

“Come in please! My son needs a friend and a cellmate. Keep Hope (and my son) Alive!” – J.Jackson

    • xx

Mr. Klangmen looks like your son has a personal problem. By the way is this in Missippi or Alabami.

  • Adalberto Moxie Gonçalves Jr.

There’s no justification for killing innocent people but please believe there is more to this story than a guy who just “Lost it” this is bad guy v bad guy.

    • dmacleo

the 2 non-cops were not bad guys and had nothing to do with this all.

    • TocksNedlog

The ONLY thing that matters right now is the fact that he is killing people and needs to be stopped.

  • Jimni27

I always take J. Jackson with a grain of salt. Having said that if the guy IS paranoid like the LA Times is reporting, it’s not a half bad idea to try to calm him down.

  • gman

Problem here is that your past always precedes you ! Rev. Jackson may actually have the best of intentions here, but because of dubious involvements with other high profile current events, and because of a not-so-latent racist trend of his OWN, we are left to question his motives. I don’t view Chris Dorner as a racist. He is just a really angry man who sees no other way out. Rev. Jackson and Al Sharpton and Spike Lee and even someone as otherwise benign as Steven A. Smith are all very prejudiced individuals who do much to drive wedges between the races with their ‘art’ and public discourse. Their motives and sentiments are thinly disguised if at all. It’s time that they realize that they don’t need to use their heritage as a rallying cry to solidify their militant aspirations. We are not a truly enlightened culture until people like these stop leaning on ‘us versus them’ mentality and agree to just get along !!! Seems Rodney King might have been more of a sage than he ever imagined ! As for Dorner, maybe he should capitulate and write a book about the LAPD, and ALL cops. He can do it from prison, it’s been done before ! In that way he can expose as much wrongdoing as he ever could on this present course. And as for Rev. Jackson, let’s give him the benefit of the doubt here and try to believe that he really wants this nightmare to end, regardless of the skin color of the victims.

    • Canadian in USA

That was my first reaction to this story. I have a feeling that (this time) he feels for the victims. Not holding my breath for the future, but this time, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

      • KansasGirl

Like we are given the benefit of the doubt?

  • dmacleo

gee a race baiting coward doesn’t want to actually have to do anything and lets others do the work for him.
just like the whole sordid history of him..

  • RightThinking1

Geeze…, shouldn’t he be tweeting his son, who’s headed for the slammer?

  • Tim jones

This guy is a perfect example of the 47% which is actually 53%, dude lost his job in 2008? What has he been doing for the past 5 years? Oh right the navy, as a reservist.

    What an achiever.

The navy has a 4 week boot camp during which they ride bicycles instead of run because the impact is to stressful.

Everyone of dude’s deployment photos he’s posing, not actually wearing any war gear. Must not really be doing much fighting, probably a whole lot of working in a warehouse.

I read he was quite vocal online in support of gun grabbers while ironically being rumored to own a missile launcher.

And in the end, he’s turned his gun against his brothers in law enforcement.

A traitor and breaker of every oath he ever took, and probably didn’t deserve the affirmative action post he was given with the lapd and with the navy.

When JJ identifies with you, you know you’re crazy.

  • $29520529

JJ why don’t you just try taking care of all your baby mommies, ” Reverend”

  • Tim jones

It’s good that his son is going to prison, hopefully he gets what he deserves from his constituents.

  • 1azuce

If Jesse Jackson had a criminal son, he would look like…..ooops.

  • David Shrock

If Obloviate had a son he’d look just like Chris Dorner…
