If for some reason you tried to visit some website other than Twitchy tonight, you might have found yourself redirected to a Facebook error page. Facebook acknowledged the bug and offered a brief explanation:
For a short period of time, there was a bug that redirected people logging in with Facebook from third party sites to Facebook.com. The issue was quickly resolved, and Login with Facebook is now working as usual.
Just having a drink and kicking back on my favourite website, Facebook error page.—

Very annoying bug. RT @MichelleFields: Do you keep getting redirected to Facebook right now? This is why: thenextweb.com/facebook/2013/…—

The bug affected a lot of sites, since more and more are choosing to rely on Facebook Connect to handle such things as login credentials.
Facebook just demonstrated that it could take down the entire Internet whenever it wants – can't wait to talk about this in my #scifi class!—

A little bit scary to think that one measly Like button can destroy the entire Internet, isn't it? gizmodo.com/5982677/a-face…—

For a brief second, Facebook took down half the internet. Soooo… maybe connecting your site TOO closely to social media isn’t all peachy?—

Facebook has out-anonymised Anonymous. Taken down a lot of the web. Nice job Zuckerberg #fb—

Twitter seems to have settled on “Facebookmageddon” as the word we’ll all use to describe what happened tonight to our great-grandchildren.
Where were you when #FACEBOOKMAGEDDON happened?—

#Facebookmageddon is no joke. When can I go back online???—
