New unmanned drone superfan Touré ‘very comfortable’ with killing Al-Qaeda leaders

The line to praise the Obama administration’s approval of drone strikes on American civilians overseas forms on the Left. We wouldn’t have pegged MSNBC host Touré as a fan of unmanned drone attacks, particularly as he has often criticized the War on Terror and claimed that treating people with respect was the best way to defeat Al-Qaeda. At least it was, until President Obama seemed to suggest it wasn’t.

On today’s edition of “The Cycle,” Touré argued that he was “comfortable” with Obama’s reliance on drones, declaring flatly, “Al Qaeda attacked this nation. We are attacking Al Qaeda back” and suggesting that the United States “attack them in the best way that we can.” (Mediaite has the video.) Twitter followers on the Left and Right were quick to call out Touré on what looked like a very sudden change of heart.

He didn’t always seem so comfortable, at least not publicly before today. Could it have something to do with the current occupant of the White House? Will “He’s the Commander in Chief” become the new “What difference does it make?”

We wondered above if “He’s the Commander in Chief” would start making the rounds, and it looks like it’s on its way. It works for just about anything.

Liberals are so confused they don’t know what to believe anymore, except that whatever Obama does is good no matter what.

    • Calcat36

      Stockholm Syndrome. Classic.

    • Frank Drebin

The doctrine of blind obedience and unqualified submission to any human
power, whether civil or ecclesiastical, is the doctrine of despotism,
and ought to have no place among Republicans and Christians.

  • Calcat36

Wow. Where was this unknown punk when Booosh was killing terrorists with drones? That’s right nowhere. Or calling Booosh an unelected Cowboy! Hey turettes, STFU.

  • waltermitty2012

If we catch them, we can’t use enhanced interrogation techniques (i.e., waterboarding), because that’s inhumane treatment. But, if we can’t catch them or don’t want to, we can take them out with a drone and anyone else who happens to be too close at the time.

Just trying to understand the rules.

    • carla5731

Just be careful. With that much contortion you might pull a few muscles.

  • Ben Bollman

Maybe MSNBC should take a cue from Fox and fire Toure like Fox did Dick Morris.

Oh I forgot, they are liberals. They actually encourage poor job performance.

  • Tangchung

Same people that object to a little water to the face. Go figure.

Liberal logic — Rules for Obama media

    1) If I didn’t see it, it never happened
    2) If I didn’t see it, but there is proof that it happened, thank God it happened
    3) If He says we need it, we must have it….now!!!
    4) If He says it’s good, we are so lucky He gave it to us
    5) If He says there are 57 states, we must have 57 states and no one told you…idiot
    6) If He says the P is NOT silent, the military has been saying it wrong….idiots
    7) If He says America doesn’t believe in torture, killing must be humane…idiot

  • VerminMcCann

If this idiot isn’t careful, he’s going to find himself with a job in the Obama administration.

    • Black Ball

What is Toure’s position on Hagel?

  • $129448

Obama can do whatever his little heart desires

    • Elena0412

      “Little” being the operative word.

    • ratizbad

Hope you are first to your little desire…Idiot..

      • $129448

        I am being sarcastic

        • Patrick Dennehy

It’s easy to have a broken sarcasm detector these days. I think we are all pretty fed up with this administration and the lap dogs.

It is fine to get rid of terrorists. Hate to break it to you though, those drones mostly kill civilians and children.

    • Patrick Dennehy

Only if Bush ordered the strike

  • DrSamHerman

I am never surprised by a sycophant’s twisted justifications. Toure has used every page in the dependent personality disorder patient’s “Doormat Handbook” to support his political mancrush short of physically supporting Zero’s private parts and this latest hypocrisy of his is just par for the course.

Of course, had Bush done this, Toure’s false indignation would have expanded his tantrum by four octaves.

  • Elena0412

Libs are in junior high and Obama is their cool kid. Whatever the cool kid does is ok, but let anyone else try that and the feces fly.

    • For Conservatism

Can feces be dropped from drones too? I mean the flying kind…

  • fanofamerica

Just daydreaming about what Toure would do if Obama reversed himself on this…

  • Joe Zepeda

Toure (wtf is up with that awful name?) is an idiot. I despise that piece of garbage and his obnoxious stuffy nose tone when he talks. How the hell does someone that stupid get a job in front of a camera on a major news network? OH, thats right… He doesn’t work for a major news network. hahaha… What i would give to just fly my quad rotor above him for a few blocks to freak him out.

    • Ken Alan Draper

the awful name is an attempt to be cool & hip, but in reality it is just lame.

  • HARP2

Toure…..what if someday a republican president decides that YOU are a terrorist ?

Oooops…..guess you didn`t think it all the way through huh ?

    Just another dicky licking commie

  • Sara Nichols

    Toure is like a clock.

  • Tantalus XVI

Cue Family Guy episode in which Peter has a cyborg “yes man,” upon telling the cyborg to process a complex command I.e. a contradiction, the machine over heats and explodes. If only liberals did that.

  • rogueco

Any bets that the ACLU will go dark for the next two weeks, and pretend this story never happened???

    • TocksNedlog

FWIW, they have actually spoken out against it.

  • Maxx

Obama could be riding on a drone like Slim Pickens and the starry-eyed would be ecstatic.

    • HARP2

      I`d pay to watch that.

  • TocksNedlog

Touré was against killing Americans before he was for it.

  • TocksNedlog

When it comes to collateral damage, Touré favors a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.

  • Black Ball

Being Australian, don’t really hear much of this Toure. Probably just as well. He is many kinds of sickly sycophantic for the Celebrity-In-Chief it seems.

    • Ken Alan Draper

I’m in the United States & I don’t hear much of this toure either. he’s just an obscure fan magazine writer who has learned how to gain temporary notoriety.

  • sleazyrider

Is that Racheal Maddow with black face on?

  • Patrick Dennehy

“There is no contradiction in opposing the drone killings of innocent civilians and supporting the drone killings of Al Qaeda leaders.”

It’s called collateral damage, Toure. They hide behind innocent civilians and use them as human shields.

  • Gallatin

So toure am I to assume that you will also be fine with the estimated 30,000 drones the Pentagon wants to put in U.S. airspace?

  • Danny Funaro
