@repjustinamash Dude. When did you turn into Al Sharpton? #facepalm @SenJohnMcCain

As Twitchy reported, earlier today, Sen. John McCain cracked a joke likening Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to a monkey. Outrage was limited just about exclusively to race-obsessed libs, with one notable exception: Michigan Republican Rep. Justin Amash. He took to Twitter to make like a lib and throw the race card. Because why the heck not?
Maybe you should wisen up & not make racist jokes. “@SenJohnMcCain: Re: Iran space tweet – lighten up folks, can't everyone take a joke?”—
Justin Amash (@repjustinamash) February 04, 2013
Ugh. Did someone sneak stupid powder into the GOP’s boxer shorts today?
Conservatives aren’t taking the bait:
Congrats @repjustinamash, you’ve made me succeed in liking John f’ing McCain. Do you realize what that takes?—

@repjustinamash Justin, I'm a really big fan of yours (here in Texas), but I'm not getting the 'racist' aspect of this…at all.—
Blake Mumford (@DuxThaMan) February 04, 2013
@repjustinamash If we can't joke about someone has horrid as Ahmadinejad, then political correctness is out of control. @SenJohnMcCain—

Agree w/@repjustinamash, monkeys should be offended by @SenJohnMcCain tweet. What did monkeys ever do to him? Nice try, Amash #swingandmiss—

Oh look! @repjustinamash is placating to the leftists by stating McCain is a racist. His act is getting tiresome.—

Maybe @repjustinamash should wisen up + not pull a @McCainBlogette on @SenJohnMcCain.Sounds like a humourless mouthpiece of MSNBC over there—
Joe Schoffstall (@JoeSchoffstall) February 04, 2013
Hey @repjustinamash, let's leave it to the Democrats to slander our side as racist. That's sorta their thing.—
Gabriel Malor (@gabrielmalor) February 04, 2013
No, no, no. @SenJohnMcCain made a juvenile joke. @repjustinamash overreacted. That's all. Condemning people for where they are born is dumb.—
Rick Sheridan (@RickSheridan) February 04, 2013
Yeah SO RACIST. Being that President of Iran calls the Jews Monkeys & Apes you call out McCain? This GUY is a JOKE>>> @repjustinamash #tcot—
Richard Davis (@NoGunsNoGlory) February 04, 2013
Agreed RT @AG_Conservative: I swear Amash is worse than 90% of the people on the left. No idea who supports him or why.—

“@FixAaron: Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) says McCain's joke likening Ahmadinejad to a monkey was "racist." bit.ly/USeikJ” good grief.—

Hi @repjustinamash: Political Correctness is evil. Bending to it shows weakness. ~ cc: @SenJohnMcCain ~ http://t.co/JHqjKLYG—
Adam Baldwin (@adamsbaldwin) February 04, 2013
.@repjustinamash Now Twitter progressives are using your comment as proof that all conservatives are racist. Great messaging, congressman.—

Karl Rove must be beaming.

Update:
He’s still at it:
@RickSheridan I'll bet many Iranians would feel differently.—
Justin Amash (@repjustinamash) February 04, 2013
@Writer1113 Same reaction. "Monkey" has historical connotation assoc w/racism. Should not use on anyone if open to misinterpretation.—
Justin Amash (@repjustinamash) February 04, 2013
Sigh.
