More from the BBC:

Lead archaeologist Richard Buckley, from the University of Leicester, told a press conference to applause: “Beyond reasonable doubt it’s Richard.”

Richard, who died in battle 1485, will be reinterred in Leicester Cathedral.

His skeleton had suffered 10 injuries, including eight to the skull.

“Richard III” is now trending, as Twitter users react as only they can. With snark, puns and Hoffa jokes.

I read the other day, that, since he is a Royal, he HAS to be buried in Westminister Abbey?

    • TracyJean

Not necessarily. More royals are buried elsewhere than at Westminster. Richard himself wanted to be buried in York. His wife IS buried in Westminster, so that could be an argument of favor of burial there. But since his body has laid in Leicester for 527 years, the government decided to rebury him in the cathedral there.

How does it work again, if Richard III sees his shadow there IS or ISN’T six more weeks of winter?
