People use Bing?
Yes people use bing, around 10-12% last time I looked. Though that’s not saying much when google holds 75% of the search marketshare. Wait was that rhetorical? Well that’s okay.
If they had better optimizations bing would be useful.
I quit using google many many moons ago.
And I am constantly deleting google’s cookies from FireFox
I don’t use google maps, google earth or google anything.
^^^Good plan.^^^ http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/337791/What_Google_Knows_About_You
i still stick with tried and true yahoo…much less spying and data collection than the insidious google.
yahoo, now, uses bing. used to use google until 2005 or so.
What’s your source, Elilla? Did you “google” it, use Ask.com, or Wikipedia?
<– uses bing for free MS points to buy xbox stuff. And by use I mean click randomly to rack up search credits. I swear to god no matter what I start out on the recommended related searches always come back to Justin Bieber.
Over Google? Hell yes.
of course, we know that there is no “catholic league”…it’s one cranky and agitated little man feverishly typing away on his computer…and, apparently, searching for gay porn….to be outraged about, of course.
Hey! Stop picking on Raw Muscle Glutes!
Uh, why were they googling (bing-ing?) that in the first place?
Ewww *shudder*! Uhh.. NO thanks! I mean come on! Everyone knows libs are mainly degenerate sick freaks as it is. We certainly don’t need to read about it.
Degenerate Andrew Sullivan’s rutting and sex should not be confused.
Well that was weird. I took the chance and googled “Andrew Sullivan and orgies” and it took me to “The Chris Matthews Show.”
That’s why the Catholic League said to use Bing! /sarc
Andrew Sullivan, class act . . . without the “c” and the “l”.
And you don’t want to see that act.
«People use Bing?»
A couple of days ago there was a Twitchy piece about Andrew Sullivan questioning Ed Koch’s sexual orientation, That piece featured this tweet:
Koch didn’t owe you a damn thing concerning his private life. It’s none of our business and you’re a horrible person if you think otherwise.— Nathan Wurtzel (@NathanWurtzel) February 01, 2013
and Twitchy Staff concurred when they commented “Exactly.”
Now Bill Donohue’s organization is making an ad hominem attack on Sullivan because Sullivan rightly points out Pope Ratzinger was complicit in the rape of children by pedophile priests.
Twitchy Staff seems to have new guidelines about what constitutes a horrible person!
Nice catch! I’m truly, honestly shocked that there’s hypocrisy on the far right. They’re usually such calm, rational folks.
Since Sullivan has made the sex life of those on the right (remember his Palin/Trigg conspiracy ideas) a focal point of his “investigative research”, is he not fair game? Can you highlight an instance where Koch was similarly obsessed with aspects of someone’s sex life?
I was pointing out the hypocrisy of the Twitchy Staff who said it was nobody’s business and even discussing orientation made Andrew Sullivan
“a horrible person.”
A couple days later, because they had a chance to embarrass Sullivan, they gladly encouraged their readers to detailed information about his sex life.
And yeah – that whole Palin thing was ludicrous.
I believe Andrew’s personal ad was first published and promoted by some gay right’s groups. Remember when Sullivan was a conservative? He wrote a lot of criticism about the promiscuous sex life of many homosexuals and his ad was proof of his own hypocrisy on the subject.
I’m not out to defend Sullivan. Once again, I was trying to highlight the hypocrisy of the Twitchy Team who went from moral scold to Kitty Kelly the moment they could embarrass an ‘enemy.’
Liberals…best defense….LIE AND DENY. You have it down perfectly.
Nice rhyming scheme but what is the lie and what is the denial?
Koch never made his sexuality our business.
Did Sullivan make his personal sexuality our business, a central aspect of how he would like us to see him?
Careful, your answer will reveal a LOT about your intelligence. Might be best for you to simply apologize.
He was very concerned with Palin’s sex life and has long since been a critic of the Catholic church and their stances on many issues regarding sexuality. I don’t feel as though I need to apologize as anyone with a casual acquaintance with his writing would recognize this. He condemns the church for their supposed “homophobic doctrine” and is quick to point out pedophilia. He is not as forthcoming, however, with any praise for the many fine works that are done by the Church. If you are asking if Sullivan has ever made his sexuality a public affair, my answer is a resounding “yes”. You could always read his blog or view his MSNBC appearances for proof.
I might have been trying to be too clever.
I think Sullivan is in the wrong here. I think he clearly uses sexuality as a weapon.
Sullivan, in his crusade, seems to have forgotten that he has the freedom to leave the church if he disagrees with so much of what they stand for. His self professed feelings of “Catholic self loathing” can’t be healthy.
In effect, Twitchy Staff directed their readers to find some very intimate details about the bedroom activities of Sullivan. Sullivan was deemed a horrible person for daring to ask about orientation (and how it might have affected Koch’s political actions). Twitchy Staff likes Koch. So questions about orientation were beyond the pale. They don’t like Sullivan so mocking him because some very personal information of his made it’s way into the public domain is fun.
I’m trying to answer a question you never bothered to pose because you were too busy calling me little and bitter and suggesting I should just apologize because you’re an intellectual giant. So, hope I answered the question I had to complete for you.
Would you rather have your orientation questioned or have your specific turn-ons an fetishes revealed? Being openly gay or straight doesn’t mean you want the fine details of your sex life revealed. It seems you are arguing that, because Sullivan is openly gay, he should also provide us videotape of his sexual encounters. But, because Koch refused to answer the question, merely posing the question makes one horrible (even if that orientation affected Koch’s political decisions and the lives of his constituents).
Do you know the difference between a punch in a boxing match and a sucker punch on the street?
See, a sucker punch is delivered on a person who didn’t know they were in a fight with you.
Andrew Sullivan has donned the boxing shorts and has taken on all opponents including Twitchy. When we punch back, it is fair play.
I hope you understand these rudimentary principles of sportsmanship.
Now transpose that analogy to the realm of opinion mongering and you’ll get back on track. You’ll see that Mr. Sullivan threw a sucker punch. This is — how do you youngsters say it? — very uncool.
Type “Ed Koch” at google and the first suggestion is Ed Koch Gay. “Ed Koch” Gay returns 169,000,000 hits. He’s been hounded about it for years. Andrew Sullivan poses the question and that constitutes a sucker punch?!
Liberace never publicly came out as gay. I am going on the record as saying Liberace was definitely homosexual. That’s far worse than what Sullivan did to Koch!
I understand the rudimentary principles of sportsmanship and am navigating this track fine by myself, thanks.
Perhaps you should spend more time showing me you have a superior argument and less time telling me you do.
I sincerely apologize for insulting you by calling you bitter and small. You are a good man trying to make a point. I was the bitter and small one.
No worries! We all have our days…in fact, I was in a foul mood myself the day we were having this discussion. In such a bad mood, in fact, that I came perilously close to defending Andrew Sullivan!
Plus, I saw you quoted “The Second Coming” in another thread; anyone who brings Yeats into the comments is no enemy of mine.
My work keeps me on my computer and away from people for huge chunks of time. I enjoy debate and the exchange of ideas. Online debate helps me keep from going completely crazy While I can’t say I often agree with you, I generally enjoy your comments because they contain ideas rather than personal put-downs and insults. So, thanks for a good debate the other day. I look forward to disagreeing with you at some point in the future!
You sound bitter and small.
Hey look there is the gate to HELL. Please go there.
Oooh. Edgy. Who did you blow today, Jon Boy?
